Give it can reach you, might wanna back up a bit, unless you've got something to avoid AOO's for shooting a bow in melee.

Am I allowed to withdraw out of melee and still shoot in Pathfinder? If so, I'll do that.

Not without an ability, but you can take a 5 foot step I believe. Might be enough?

Okay, I'm taking the five foot step, hoping that would be enough. Otherwise I'll accept the AoO.

You're not in melee, the tentacles have reach. wait does that provoke aoos too? The whole rules are screwy.. errr.. yes 5 ft step! ^^

Grapple is cmb against cmd now. So you don;t need to wait for Lena to check if she get's grappled or not. Needs to beat a 22. Oh and if she doesn;t have Improved Grapple she provokes an Aoo from Lena, and takes a penalty to the roll equal to the damage she took. And hey you've that picture too. Sorta.

*chuckles* I still like to let players roll more, because 'yoink you're grappled' feels uninteractive. Consider it a houserule if you want.

Fair enough, though it does mean grapple based monsters are even more impossible to escape. CMB already drastically outpaces CMD and it get's both dex and str and deflection and all sorts of other modifiers to it. It's a decent idea, just needed better scaling.

Also if she counts as an abberation, I add 2 to my attack roll and damage because of MF.

Good news everyone.. well the three still active in the campaign, you've reached a point in the story were you Level up! and reach level 8. You didn't win that much, but learned a lot, storywise. Ventus scales with your level.

Remember that new spells and etc will only be available as you rest at the fortress.

Well was more if I don't get anything for it til we get back there may as well not do any of it til we do is all. I'm sure gonna have tons of problems til then.

Actually, you might want a new character, if you want to stay (Lorelai didn't seem overly interested in Ventus) because that one will be a bit hard to step back from again. Ventus was kinda like 'plz stahp' and you .. doubled down three times over.

Either way, time to let Blueslime get a say in for my part. ^^

Well she jumped on it. And you said convince her. Seemed like that wasn't gonna happen by saying nothing. But whatever. I'll make a new character I guess.

Also well, not interested wasn't quite the word but it seemed like they had totally diffrent ideals and neither were really willing to compromise. Lorelai might have except the world suddenly was at stake and she's used to making hard choices between ideals and saving people. She underestimated Ventus' trauma on undeath however and figured she'd be rational. Her own fault really. Combined with the circumstances and the time frame and there wasn't really much time for them to warm up to each other at all. Hell, the pcs barely know each other. So it makes suddenly I want your cawk feel a bit forced is all. That and Ventus had a history of misunderstanding her. Probably should have recognized she might again. But Lorelai isn't exactly the most socially adept.

Hm new character. Well it has to be a caster, we have none at all otherwise. And one that doesn't totally invalidate the two martials, so Summoner is out. Hmm...

Convicing doesn't mean repeatedly restating and reiterating your point if you don't get things your way.
And Lorelai hasn't invested much into getting to know anyone, I gave some recreational time, even -tried- to sent her towards Lena, she went off to the library before even bothering to let anyone else respond. It's pretty much on you that you don't get to know things. Yes, Ventus doesn't divulge her entire backstory at once, maybe there is a reason for that.

Her legs are fucked, shes a pragmatic, cynic ass that doesn't really show any interest whatsoever in lewdities, as in, she barely reacts if forced to, not sure where you ever wanted me to go with her.

LN yes. It's all moot now anyways. Need to think on something new to fill the gap. Too many gaps in capabilities, either way we're missing something... Wizard feels almost a mandatory choice. Still missing a lot of options but Dramatically less than if I built another cleric.

Up to you. Will just consider her a 'conciliation slave' from Vara unless you have another idea/request. Yeah, Ironically Lorelai didn't work well with the undead. combat wise, sure, buuut.. *shrug*

In theory you could also pick up one of the abandoned characters if you want.
