Chains of light spring up around the demoness, and for a moment, Elea believes that the chains will hold the demon so that she can escape. The entire movement happens so fast the Elea is unable to take advantage of her momentary freedom, and finds herself held once more.

As Elea slowly awoke from her terrifying dream, she almost managed to convince herself that the whole experience had been such, until she heard the demoness' sultry, gloating voice. Springing to her feet with her new found energy, Elea glares at the woman and takes a step back, reaching for her sword. After a second of grasping at air though, she manages to tear her gaze away and down at her side. Shocked that not only was her blade missing, but so was all her armor and coverings, she growls at the demoness, "How dare you."

Remembering the previous confrontation, Elea knew that even with her equipment she was no match for the demon before her. She begins to take slow, cautious steps back, eyes flitting around the room for any sign of her weapons, as well as a possible escape route. As fast as the demoness is, though, Elea knows that she can't simply outrun her. She will need to find an opening. As she continues to scan the room for exits, Elea angrily asks, "You didn't kill me, so just what is it you intend to do with me?"

The demoness smiles widely, her eyes growing crimson, and for each step Elea takes the demoness takes one of her own, keeping the distance between them the same. As her eyes flit about, Elea spots her armor and weapons lying in a pile on the opposite side of the warehouse. The only exits seem to be the ones the demon knights left through and the way she had come.

"I wanted your soul fresh and whole when I tear it from your body. And this time, you're going to make me cum too."

Continuing her steps away from the demoness, Elea attempts to turn so that she is backing towards the pile of her equipment. "You'll find I'm no more open to the idea now than I was before," she responds. "I'm sure your armored friends from before would be more than happy to help you though." As she speaks, her mind runs over ideas for what she can do to escape, but she keeps coming to the same conclusion. The demoness to is too fast to hit with her blade, and no doubt too fast to outrun. She is strong enough to overpower Elea both physically and magically. There was no way for the ranger to escape this predicament on her own.

"Matthias," Elea whispers, almost under her breath, afraid to let the demoness hear her, in case she had some way of nullifying even her voice. The daemon, she knew, could defeat the woman. Elea only had to remain free and conscious until he arrived.

"Matthias," she repeats, slightly louder, but still hoping to keep her call undetected. The daemon had said she only needed to speak his name, and he would come. Hopefully a whisper would suffice...

The woman laughs, and responds; "Oh, those poor boys? They're not so interested in such things, usually. And all that armor is such a pain to take off."

As she says the name out loud, the demoness laughs, and says; "Fool, who do you think is going to hear you with your voice so-------" And is cut off by the sound of crunching wood, and a sudden light from the ceiling, revealing the daemon dropping from above. The demoness takes a quick step back as Matthias hits the ground where she'd been standing, landing in a crouch, his heavy landing causing a loud thump that echoes across the entire warehouse.

"She is mine daemon! Her soul belongs to me, find your own prey, it's only fair!" She says, as he straightens to his full height, blocking Eleas view of the demoness. His voice echoes throughout the building, loud and hoarse and emotionless; "You are fool enough to argue fairness with me? Regardless, you are my prey, not the elf." He says, as blood red fire erupts from his form, and even nearly twenty feat away Elea feels the heat of that fire as if it were a raging inferno.

The daemons hand suddenly shoots up as the demoness begins her retort, and Eleas ears are deafened by a loud roar, the only thing she'd ever heard that was comparable to it being a massive waterfall she'd once visited, along with blinding flash. When she looks back up, the daemons fire is fading, and his arm lies back at his side. The building is devoid of sound besides the whistle of the wind outside.

As the storm of fire, sound, and light erupts from the daemons hand, Elea shields her eyes and cringes away from the heat. When she looks again, she sees the daemon standing, almost motionless with his back to her. With a sigh of relief, Elea falls backwards against a box, the tension she felt from her encounter with the demon washing away and taking her energy with it. She rests a minute there, holding her head in her hand and taking deep breaths. After catching her breathe, she says, "I hope she was more than a mere snack to you." Elea laughs, then stands, her arms covering her nakedness, though she feels almost as though she has no need to do so from this inhuman ally.

"You are true to you word," she says, stepping closer to the daemon. "That is more than I can say for most mortal beings. I am in your debt." Elea bows slightly, before continuing, "Thank you. If there is anything I can do to repay you, beyond finding more souls to feed on, I will do it."

"Demon Lords, or I suppose in this case Demon Ladies, tend to make acceptable meals." Matthias says, turning back to face her. As he turns, she can see a massive hole in the far wall, along with the stump of a leg halfway below the knee where the demoness had stood.

Elea finds her armor and equipment floating toward her past the daemon, and the daemon continues; "You owe me nothing, mortal. If you wish to repay me, all you need do is find more demon lords, or perhaps a squad of knights, such as the one the Lady I just killed sent out to hunt down a half-breed demon hunter."

"As you wish," she says, bowing he head. "But the offer still stands. If you have any need, I will assist you in any way I can." Elea's family had always stressed the importance of keeping one's word as the sign of proper nobility and honor, and she would always strive to uphold that tradition.

After a quick glance at the daemon, Elea reaches out for her floating equipment. She pauses a second, then turns around, facing away from Matthias before beginning to slip her armor on. The daemon may not be living, but modesty is still proper, even for a ranger who spends most of her time in nature.

With her armor restored and her weapons back in place, Elea felt better. She straightens up, adjusts her equipment, then turns back to the daemon. "Again, thank you."

The daemon shrugs, and Elea turns away to don her equipment. After slipping her armor on, Elea turns to find the daemon gone, and Elea wonders how he can move so silently.

Turning in place, Elea looks around in surprise for the missing daemon. After a moment, she remembers his sudden departure from the house earlier, then quirks a smile and mutters, "Going to have to get used to that." Then on a more somber note adds, "Not that I want to have much reason to run into him more often." She briefly hugs herself as the events that led to her meeting the daemon come flooding back into her memory.

Finally, she throws her arms down to her sides, and a look of consternation paints her face. "Stop it, Elea, you're here for a reason. You need to focus on it," she says quietly before turning to head out of the warehouse. 'And stop talking to yourself, damn it,' she scolds herself internally. Striding quickly through the maze of boxes, Elea moves to exit the warehouse through the door she had seen the knights leave through earlier.
