Hmm. To be honest, I've never understood what a "wallflower" is. You can blame my surrounds of people who use words without knowing their real meaning.
If you're asking if having to read and translate the translation will kill the mood of the story? No not really, but there are times when you will be like "wait, what" and will have to re-read a sentence twice over. Translators for some reason hate the name Rin.
If you have some skill in vocal Japanese it'll help a lot. Even "learn from anime" skills will help you recognize those words that the translator don't pick up. I'm using ITH + Translation Aggregator (google + Honyaku) to read.
Play the game, even if just for Comet! Funniest character in a visual novel in quite awhile and best story too.
