With the entire crew going down, Cassandra was not particularly surprised at the sight that she was met with on the lower level, but that didn't stop her from being disgusted at the scene. Open cells lines the areas right and left, and there were plenty of open bondage crosses. Other than the basic layout of the basement, there weren't too many places to easily hide, like a closet or closed room. It seemed like they completely missed Casandra and the goblins.

Somehow, the whole incoming squad failed to completely notice the healer and her goblin goons from behind the corner, and the reason for it appeared to be one that was somewhat understandable but still silly. The whole yelling thing had apparently come out as something that the now knocked-out guard had been doing. The situation was a bit of a dilemma though, as there were regular guardsmen supporting the two ladies from before, giving Cassandra some difficulty as she was not entirely sure what to do with this situation.

Deciding to throw caution into the wind, she made up her mind, deciding that the girls too would have to lie down for a while. If nothing else, it would serve them right for leading her into a goblin ambush. Drawing upon her spiritual power, Cassandra invoked her ability to aid others from her holy side, channeling a good bit of power into the invocation. With this power aiding them, even the goblins would surely perform well. As soon as she had finished and the power activated, she gave orders to the goblins, telling them to knock all the guards, even the girls, out. As much as she didn't want to do it, it felt like she had to give this order to get things done.

(Use Blessing with 10 spirit points. This gives Cassandra and all goblins within 30 feet a +30 bonus to dodge and attack rolls in addition to giving them +20 to resistance and perception. Also, using her Efficient Wielder aptitude to reduce the upkeep of the power to 5 per turn.)

The soldiers tried to answer, shouting and calling that they were being ambushed. They fired their weapons, the first one missing a goblin who was blessed by Cassandra's powers, the second clipping a goblin and badly wounding, but not killing it. Another goblin's club bounced off of a soldier's helmet with a clang, before Houri and Lilith responded.

Lilith swiped out with her sword, missing the wounded quick goblin, before Houri came in and quickly severed it's head clean off of it's shoulders. "We're being ambushed! Someone lock the door above! Do not let them escape!" Lilith called out. Cassandra meanwhile could hear commotion above. The whole house was alive now.

Seeing how the combat played out before her, Cassandra was not impressed by the ability of her squad. Had these guys really almost grabbed all of the girl trio back in the forest? Somehow, she could not believe that it had all happened like that. But that was what it was, and the current situation required her attention, which she was not all that sure about what to do in. Her own ability to attack was severely limited as she didn't want to kill anyone, which most of her offensive powers would do if she used them. Deciding to stick to her role as a support, she would remain behind her goblin wall, touching one of them to give some increased endurance to that particular one.

Houri and Lilith were in the process of throwing the two goblins off of them before the others swarmed them. Cassandra's thoughts apparently reached the goblins, giving them some idea about her disappointment since they started attacking harder, suddenly turning the situation around as they took care of the remaining two guys and tackled the girls down almost as casually as they had done it before. It was almost satisfying to see things go her way.

"Not yet, there is someone here who is coming with me. You might know of this girl, she tried to get the mayor busted earlier and was tricked. It wouldn't happen to be you by any chance? Not wanting to look like she had a grudge, Cassandra would help Lilith and Houri stand up again. "Alright, if you really want me to escape, you will help me get out from here. "If we help you here then we're out of a job, and we can't get by on good will. We'll help you here and then some, but as nice as the thought is to help you, doing so here after the mayor already has you trapped would leave us nowhere to go. So, help me, help you?" Ignoring the goblins, Cassandra focused on dealing with the ladies instead, who were apparently wanting to get paid for their help. As much as she might have wanted to argue with them and maybe try make some points about them being out of a job soon anyways, the healer was not keen on remaining down there for too long. "Alright, you got a deal. Let's get moving, I'd rather not remain here for longer than necessary."

The girls nodded and walked right up the stairs. "Is anyone there? We secured the prisoners." Lilith said, knocking on the door. "It was the girl we thought lost to the goblins, she returned somehow with them tame. The goblins are dead and the girl is ready for the mayor's punishment." she declared.

"Ah yes, good-good~" came a man's voice on the other side, as the door opened to the shape of the fat bald mayor wearing only a bathrobe with no sash to reveal his disgusting genitalia. Almost immediately though, Lilith drew her fist back and slammed it against the man's face with a loud impact as blood almost exploded from his nose. He fell back and collapsed against the floor as sounds of gunfire soon followed with Houri ducking back out of the way and Lilith getting shot in the chest.

She tipped backwards, and fell towards Cassandra, about to either slam against the concrete or slam into Cassandra if the mage didn't get out of the way.

The two girls now in tow, Cassandra went with them as the two sought to bluff their way out from the cellar dungeon. It did appear to work as the door opened, but there was a flash of activity afterwards. It could be best summed up in the mayor getting his shit knocked out and then a hail of shot making it to the group, though only Lilith was hit. Not keen on letting her hit the ground and risk even further damage, Cassandra caught her midfall, seeking to tug her away from the line of fire afterwards. Even if it might not make her come back to fight, the healer still wanted to make sure that Lilith wouldn't die like this, deciding to cast some healing on her. As she did so, she would try to check out the hall and see what they were dealing with exactly as she had not really seen anything besides the fat bastard out there.

Healing up Lilith, the white haired girl looked in Cass' direction. "You're not gonna charge me for that, right?" she asked. Sounds of Houri fighting came from above, while the goblins seemed content to stay away from the gunfire. Turns out they weren't needed either. As Houri drew her own gun and fired wildly at the outside force, drawing female screams of fright from outside. Apparently Houri routed other forces outside by threatening them.

"It was just the maids. This is our best chance to leave before the townsfolk misunderstand the sounds of gunfire and join with the mayor against us." Houri declared. Lilith, after being healed, soon stood up and joined her. The goblins gathered around Cassandra, jumping and chittering with excitement to follow her out of the manor. "Flee! Flee!" they chanted, laughing as if it was fun. Meanwhile, the girl limped towards Cassandra, apparently weak from torture and rape. Possibly healed as well, she'd happily be along with the escape, unless Cassandra wished to accomplish something else in the house.

Thankfully enough, Lilith was not beyond saving after the hit she received and was able to get herself together in order to rejoin the fight almost right away. It was practically useless a gesture to see as Houri had almost taken the fight by herself at that point. And like the goblins were suggesting, it was probably the best time and opportunity for them to make their escape from the manor. After giving the girl some needed first aid, she would get from thoughts to acts and start the retreat with the rest of them.

And then they ran, they ran so far away. They fled the house and the sounds of rabble behind them. Townsfolk were shouting about goblins and were firing one-shot rifles in their direction, but they were awful shots and no one was hit. Just like that, Cassandra escaped with Lilith, Houri, and the girl of interest.

Everyone was panting, a bit winded from the retreat. "So..." Houri began, looking to Cassandra. "How did you get these goblins to obey you? Is it some kind of magic? Or did we simply massively underestimate you?" she inquired.

The naked girl looked nervous at all the lecherous glances from the goblins. "I don't know who you are or why you command goblins, but thank you. After accusing the mayor of possibly being responsible for everyone's disappearances, I quickly found my drink drugged with that 'awful drug' that he claimed some people in town were taking that makes them hysterical. My mind was a mess and I heard my family's grief before finding myself being crushed under the weight of that fat freak." she stated. "Though I am truly thankful you saved me, I'm sorry, but I must return. I have to save my family from that evil man."

There was fair bit of running to do yet again, which Cassandra was getting tired of at that point. So much running in one day, why did she have to do it? Thankfully it was over faster than she was anticipating, and none of them had been shot after Lilith, so it was all fine at that point.

With the squad resting in the wilderness after their run, the mercenary ladies started to question Cassandra about her gobbo squad, which she was not too keen on answering. "It's... the simplest of ways. But I had help." she gave her answer, not going to specifics as the rescued girl spoke up after them. While Cassandra was not sure that it would be the smartest of ideas to make it back into town just like that, she could see that there was pressure coming towards her from the goblins. "If you think you will be safe, then get going. Otherwise, you can come with us for a bit." she told the freed girl despite being fairly sure that she would not go with them.

After the girl made her decision, Cassandra would turn her attention to returning to Elora and the camp.
