Sables Status: HP = 44, P = 55, EP = 21/37, Pregnant, Grappled, Static

(Sorry, was thinking about ZeroSpaces character. Yes, she is grappled. I shouldn't have even had the to-hit in there, not that it mattered all that much, since the spell had already created the link between you and the enemy. Maybe I should slow down a bit, methinks. Also, starting Shock with a new target requires a recast.)

Casting: 20 + 34 + 3 + 2 - 4 = 55 vs 22 = Success.
Grapple: 6 + 20 + 3 = 29 vs 17 + 42 + 6 = 65 == Enemy wins.

Sable manages to cast her spell, but the creature on top of her presses down, blocking her arms from moving and preventing her from hitting it with her spell, causing the electricity to strike against the building on the other side of the street. Suddenly, the beast sprouts a tentacle from its back, apparently made from the same stuff as its strange armor.

The other demonic dog rushes at her dog, who bounds out of the alley the way she'd come, drawing the creature off and away from Sable.

(Ah, didn't know it took a recast, I thought she could just maintain it.)

Sable cried out angrily as she saw the second dog chasing after her companion, "GET BACK HERE YOU BEAST!" Although her tone changed sharply when she spotted the tentacle sprouting from the beast that was on her. Eyes wide and jaw dropping, she knew this beast was stronger than her... probably a lot stronger, and after her second shock spell was sent astray, her only chance was to hit it with a stronger spell as she closed her eyes and chanted the strongest spell she dared cast with the beast atop of her.

"Let's see how you enjoy this... Lightning..." (Level 4, Lightning)

She felt the jolts of energy surge through her body and the crackling of the air reaching a new height off of herself. She knew she'd be safe from her spell since the power was coming off of her and into her foe, but she also knew she was wasting her energy fast. The burst of energy causing crackles of lightning to spread out all around her once more... She hoped that her arms being pinned wouldn't affect the spell's aim, trying to guide the attack with her mind, sending arcs of energy around to latch onto the beast before releasing the final powerful jolt that would do the real damage.

Sable wasn't even entirely sure why she wanted to go and rescue the dog that had started following her, all she knew was that she wanted this beast off of her and to face off against the last one before it could harm her companion...

Casting: 5 + 34 + 3 + 2 - 4 = 40 vs 30 = Success.
Grapple: Epiced. Because I can.
Damage: 9 + 2 + 21 + 2 - 5 - 4 - 6 = 19 x 3 = 57 damage.

Sables lightning lances up into the creature on top of her, hammering into the beast and blasting it up off of her. Its armor and tentacle disappear as it flops to the ground a few feet away, and its flesh begins to melt. Before she can even regain her feet, the creature is reduced to nothing more than a skeleton.

Sables dog rounds the corner, the demon chasing it close on its heals and gaining ground while they both disappear out of Sables sight.

"GRAR!" Sable roars out, spinning to her feet and snatching up her rifle as she takes off at top speed down the alley after the pair of dogs, sure that the beasts were faster than her, she fell back on magic once more, 'Lesser Buff, Speed!' (Level 3, Nature)

Her muscles tensing and she could feel the magic coursing through her body once more, her rifle at her side, she wasn't going to let that beastly demon dog have its way with her new companion... she crouched low as she neared the corner the two disappeared around, and peered around fast, trying to take advantage of her natural stealth and the demon not having seen anything but her going down. If it didn't know she had freed herself, she knew she had a good chance of getting a sneak attack on it...

Sable feels her spell allow her to move faster, and she reaches the edge of the alley and peers around it, spotting the demon chasing her dog already thirty feet away. It clearly isn't paying any attention to her or where she is.

Sable grinned as she held her rifle up and took aim upon the beast that was chasing her dog... Even if her shot didn't take the dog down, it would at least draw its attention.

"Die you filthy beast." She whispered out as she pulled the trigger.

Stealth: Success.
To-hit: Automatic Success.
Damage: 8 + 18 - 6 - 4 = 16 x 2 = 32 damage.

Sables rifle round strikes the demonic dog in the back, even though it already seemed to have been stopping for some reason. It gives a howl of pain, but doesn't fall.

Sable was panting softly, feeling her magical energies drained, she yelled out for her dog, "HERE GIRL!" hoping that her voice would make the dog return, reassuring the animal and making it return.

Sable tried to maintain her stealth though, ducking back behind the building if the demon dog turned to look for her, keeping low to the ground and trying to fire off a second round, hoping it would finally put that dog down, and end their conflict.


But even in her rush to end the fight, she noticed the way the dog faltered and slowed, concern on her face, she feared something worse would be upon her at any moment...

Her second round is unnecessary, as Sable watches as the demonic creatures armor disappears and it falls to the ground, dissolving like the other one. Her dog doesn't respond other than to bark, and stare at something that Sable can't see.

Sable's eyes quickly track the direction of her dog's gaze, not giving up her speed yet, she ducks back as quickly as she can to try to hide from whatever unseen force was there, her gun at the ready...

'fuck me... I can't keep this up much longer...' she silently said in her mind, only to herself, panting as quietly as she could and focusing her mind. While searching for her target, she fell on desperation, 'Minor Illusion' (Light, Level 2)

Her spell attempting to create a duplicate of her appearing just a few steps back in the alley, seeming to have a gun and similarly dressed. She knew such a weak spell wouldn't fool another su-ku-ta... but she hoped that as she made the figure rush out into the street and feign being her, dropping to her knees in seeming injury, it would be enough to lure out whatever else around here that was waiting to attack her, taking attention away from herself and hopefully giving her the drop on whatever beasts were still around...

Sables hears her dog barking, and then someone shouts; "Show yourself."
Her spell goes off without error, and the image of her kneeling in pain appearing in the street. Hopefully, it would draw out whoever had called out a moment ago.

Sable whinced at the calling out, and had her illusion feign injury, holding a hand up weakly as if to try to signal to whoever yelled out at her, then the illusion collapsed to her knees and finally hitting the ground, laying there unconscious.

Sable remained back in the shadow of one of the buildings in the alley, trying to get behind anything else she could manage, still hoping a little bit of stealth and misdirection would go further than trying to hide on its own.

As Sables illusion goes through its routine, Sable watches as an elf woman in bramble armor comes out of hiding and approaches, saying; "Are you alright? Tell me your name."

Sable sighed in relief and dropped her speed spell, her muscles tense still and she remained hidden, she called out, "Don't Move!" in just a quiet enough whisper that the woman would hear, but hopefully nothing else. "Put your hands up and walk backwards slowly. If you even TRY something wrong, I've got a rifle aimed right at your head and enough magical firepower... well, let's not tip my hand, but you could easily be reduced to a smoldering pile if you don't do exactly what I say."

Her energy draining spells abandoned, Sable refused to let her gun down as she searched nearby quickly, hoping this woman was alone. If the woman tried anything unusual at all, Sable would take the shot, while her position was at least still concealed, even if the woman knew she was there.

"Is there anyone with you? Are there any other demons around? Answer my questions now!"

(Static doesn't drain any energy, so I just left it up.)

Sable speaks as the woman puts down a bow and bends down to examine her illusion, the elf woman giving a start and looking straight at her position.

(Illusion magic isn't listed as draining energy either, so I didn't mean to drop that one either :p I only meant my buffs.)

Sable was very pleased at the bow being set down, even if the person didn't mean to be disarmed. She waited a moment for the answers, hesitant to welcome the new arrival closer so willingly.

She had a twinge of feeling bad about her aggressive stance, whispering out after her demands, "If you do not lie, and are not hostile, I swear I shall not harm you." she realized she was spotted after calling out, and slowly moved forward from her hiding place, gun trained carefully upon the woman, she revealed herself, putting on a tough front to hide her weakened condition.

"Speak fast.. if you are an ally, I would rather not linger here chitchatting when dangers are everywhere."

Moving this to a unified thread and copying both of your last posts into it, since timing is quickly becoming confusing.

(Ehh, it wasn't doing you any more good anyhow.)
