ACT [Wolfenstahl] Deathblight Apocalypse

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

Yes, it certainly will!

Deathblight Apocalypse will have CG scenes with lots of text and progression in the CGs as well (several steps per CG), and of course everything in high quality colouring.

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

I always loved your art work. This is great news.

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

well, if nothing else, the name is metal as hell.

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

I loved Paperheads, but I think you guys gotta work on the H-sprite animations. The same you gave looks quite static and a little dull - although the awesome character designs help make up for this :)

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

Here's a question to the game developer, if he/she feels like responding i would appreciate it: In your game 'Last Demon Hunter' you had an ending with hypnosis/mind control in in, the imps ending. That is one my favorite genres, and you did a very good job with that imp ending. Will something similar be in this game?

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

Mmmn, the wolf girl looks familiar, I think it is and comes onto the set of D-Gate - Millia Wars and Mini Wars, Do not know if this related to D-Gates, or if a game is aimed at the wolf girl (Sachiho) or if it is a coincidence that look the same.

Sorry for my English.

Thank you very much for the feedback!
Unfortunately this is the best we can do right now.
I know it's not perfect, but for the time being this has to do it.

As time passes Cres will surely gain more experience in creating better pixel art.
Or maybe we'll be able to hire a dedicated pixel artist at one point.

I'll forward the praise to Crescentia, thank you very much!

I'll forward the praise to our writer!
And yes, a similar ending with hypnosis/mind control is planned for this game as well.

As Azurezero already said, Ferania is a very old character of Cres and me.
We've uploaded some pictures of her around 2011 when we started creating hentai games.
But actually I created her around 5-6 years ago (even before I started creating hentai games), and there are quite a couple of artworks with her around.
So probably you've seen her before ^^

If there are other, similar looking characters around, that must be a coincidence.
Ferania is purely "self made".

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

There's one thing I need to say and it's: unf unf unf.

Yay! Someone likes my writing. Thank you so much. ^^

I'll let Wolfenstahl answer that, but I'm trying to keep things varied with each ending. I clear my ideas with Wolfenstahl and try to make endings that match the type of enemy as well as possible. I'm not sure if there are many more enemies that have mind control abilities though.

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

hmm....I'm gonna keep an eye on this one but probably end up passing on it since I've got a hate-hate relationship with rogue perma-death style games. Good luck in your sales though.:)

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

Where can i get the trial?(if it is released) sorry i have looked for it and i didnt found it, sorry for my bad english guys =(

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

There's no trial for this game yet. There are trial versions of their other 3 games on the blog, linked in the first post. One is Last Demonhunter, which is in the first blogspot link in the first post, the others are Paperheads and Geisterhand linked at the top of the blog.

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

I don't know if I should bumping this thread or starting a new one but the developers have made a public release for the 1st version of deathblight RPG:

I very rarely enjoy RPG maker games but for an alpha I thought the mechanics were quite fun and not as cumbersome as something like monster girl quest paradox.

Art is excellent as always from Projekt Wolfenstahl.

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

Since this got bumped I figured I'd ask:

Do you have to read their ongoing comic series or be familiar with their characters to know what's going on in this game?

Also, is the game's story in any way connected to their other works, or is it a completely standalone game that will introduce everything to newcomers?

I think summary pages of the comic should be enough. I think the story is along the lines that they're demon hunters (even though they're demons themselves) hunting down naughty demons that like to rape things.

Seems like it's stand alone but the developers said that they may change the dialogue within the game at any given time. If I had to take a guess, they'd probably make a suitable introduction for us people who are newer into the comics but everything is still up in the air with regards to the story aspect.

I remember these guys!

Somehow, even with a decent and dedicated artist their franchise never really took off. Not sure why, I initially attributed it to vanilla content, but they do lots of rape, plants, tentacles, mindbreaking, and I think even impregnation so really their content should draw enough people...

But then again I've never really found them appealing myself, not that I can put my finger on why  maybe not enough sharp teeth and claws?

I actually replayed paperheads for shits and giggles and honestly the art was fine but there were design decisions in the game that made it not so fun to play. The stamina meter (seriously, with the amount of running around, it shouldn't consume stamina to run and jump) and instant death for not doing certain things/requirements really irked me.

The developers have my utmost respect considering that the content that they plan to release is for free and they're living off of donations from patreon. Even then, public vs patreon game version difference is only a single version difference rather than what most developers choose to do nowadays which is to bar everything until the final release. I'm actually really tempted to be a first time patreon (and I really dislike patreon) because of how fair their business model is.

Re: Deathblight Apocalypse

It's actually a pretty good first impression. Gameplay is very similar to Ahriman's rpg which is a good thing.
