What's new

Wolfenstahl

Re: Wolfenstahl

Still plan on buying the game when they get it through DLsite, they also put up donations towards future games. Already chipped in myself! ;) More tentacles please! :D Also, some good old fashioned egg impregnation would be great too. (~.~):b

Re: Wolfenstahl

Sorry to hear about this, that's a horrible fear of mine that I'll be working on something for months and then some small mistake early on wrecks the entire thing: had that happen with a hard drive of mine once, blah

Re: Wolfenstahl

New post on their blog, says their finished testing for bugs and it's being checked by DLSite so should be up in the next few days :)

Re: Wolfenstahl

Re: Wolfenstahl

Can't wait.Blog is bookmarked.

Re: Wolfenstahl

Bad news brothers...
From what I read on the blog, it seems they made a newer version of the game for better performance issues.
The changes did not make me happy.. :(

First off its gonna take another WEEK for the game to be released..
And the amount of CGs are decreased from 42 to....34 ;w;

T'is a sad day my brothers..

Re: Wolfenstahl

What? 34 quite a lot. Several of them would be the same one with small changes though, I don't think they are all unique.

Re: Wolfenstahl

34 does sound like a lot assuming they are varied and not like same pic but with DB instead of one or zero dicks. Anyway this is a beat em up anyway isn't it? isn't most of the sexy ingame animation sprites I thought CG's would be level completion or boss failures and game overs.

Re: Wolfenstahl

i'm always hesitant to buy stuff. at first i thought wolfenstahl would be a non commercial project. and when i heard it would be, i thought about this game having lots of content. considering infight content, i hoped there would be a lot of levels and a lot of different enemies. but since the demo a short time has passed, i doubt there are a lot of lvls and different enemies.
its hard to devide whether to buy it or not. the demo isn't enough to win me over at this point.

so now i'm like "meh.. i dont know"

Re: Wolfenstahl

The 34 CGs are all completely different pictures, some of them have 3 variation pictures, so there is actually more pictures than just 34.
(but it's just a few pictures more, so never mind)
The "missing" CG's will be put on display somewhere I guess, but we haven't fully decided yet.

Good point.
Well, to tell the truth, I've held back the content all the time.
If you look at the demo versions, most of the time they haven't had so many changes, this is because I simply haven't included the new stuff, since I wanted to save it for the full version.

The things that took the most time, where the many hentai-animations that are ingame.
(and the fact that it's all random and has several variations and combinations etc.)
As well as the CG's, they also took a lot of time to do.

In total the CG's took about 1-2 months, and the sprites/ingame graphics about 4 months.
(full-time work, which means ~8 hours a day, 5 days a week)

Anyway, I think the game doesn't need to be blacklisted here.
I think it's better if people can take a look at the full game, and support by buying or donating if they feel that it's worth it.
(and if they don't think it's worth it, I'm fine with it, but please also keep in mind, that without money, we can't continue working on future projects, so we are depending on the people who like our games.)

For future projects we already planed to include full CG scenes.
(several pictures, and this time with text)
Only one CG scene per enemy, and at maximum one hentai-animation per enemy.
(maybe hentai-animations only for some enemies, not all of them, but we haven't decided yet)
Instead there will be more different enemy types, as well as a platformer based gameplay.
And I think this would shift the feeling towards having more "content".
Because now the content is more or less concentrated into a few enemy types, having waaaaay to many different hentai-animations each.

Re: Wolfenstahl

@ngansex: I think we're past the demo phase bud.

@everyone else: Sorry for the bump on the post as I know we're all eagerly awaiting the full version of this game.

@Wolfenstahl: I gotta say man, I love your attitude about the process and respect you for your openness and willingness to accept what happens on the forums here. I also love your game demo. I've already tossed you a few bucks on your sister site which I'm eager to see the comics there, and if the game doesn't pop up on dlsite I'll probably be donating some more to compensate for the download links I'm sure you guys will be putting up soon. (~.~):b Keep up the good work and I hope we all see more games from you guys!

I've honestly contemplated commissioning people to english translate some of the RPG's that have been hitting lately, or better yet contact the japanese makers of some games and pay them to actually finish the games. (And I'm not talking peanuts here) Who wouldn't kill to see a Maboku style tentacle-pokemon game RPG, an actual finished one that is? I mean...wow, I'd pay out the nose for that, especially if it got english translated...

But I think I'm steering off-topic here, so back on-topic, any ETA on the release Wolfy?

Re: Wolfenstahl

I thought this bump was THE bump ;w;

Re: Wolfenstahl

Game seems cool. Too bad there is even another new delay after the delay following the other delay. Sigh..

Re: Wolfenstahl

im normally a very patient person...as a lerker 90% of the time it comes naturally to me...but even i have to admit this is starting to get on my nerves a bit...and if its getting to me i imagine others are about ready to start up a lynch mob with flameing pitchforks etc...you need to tell dlsite or whoever to light a fire under it cause ppl are getting frustrated etc.

Re: Wolfenstahl

I wonder why the cg had to be reduced. Strange.

I don't feel great about this game.

Thanks a lot for your support!
It really means a lot to us.

And yes, I think being open and honest towards a community is the best approach.
At least that's what I learned during my years working as moderator-teamlead, GM or community manager for several projects and companies.

Also I think it's the best to answer to all questions possible, as well as discussing stuff with the community.
And of course I hope too, that we will be able to work on more games in the future.

and if its getting to me i imagine others are about ready to start up a lynch mob with flameing pitchforks etc...you need to tell dlsite or whoever to light a fire under it cause ppl are getting frustrated etc.

Yes, it gets on our nerves too... and as I already mentioned several times, we need the money and want to start the sale as soon as possible.

We are thinking about putting pressure on DLSite, if the issue they reported this time is just a compatibility problem.
(if that's the case, I know I can't fix that with my current programming skills... and at least the game runs fine on 15 different computers I tested it on)
That's one of the reasons why there is a vote on the blog now, so I can show that the game runs on enough systems without trouble...

(at least I hope that this will be the result of the vote...)

I wonder why the cg had to be reduced. Strange.

As I already mentioned on the blog (I'm not sure if I mentioned it here too), the game had heavy issues with RAM usage.
So some of the CG's had to be deleted out of the game, as well as the game being split into 2 Exe-files.

The other solution would be, to completely do all of the code new (in order to implement external loading of sources etc.), as well as making all of the ingame graphics smaller.

It would really be easier to make a completely new game, while avoiding these mistakes right from the start.
And besides, we don't have any money (and thus time) anymore.
So we can't fix this large scale problem in any other way than it is now.

Re: Wolfenstahl

Hey Wolf, I wanted to test the new demo, but I need a password to unzip it. I can't find it in your latest blogpost so... erm... help? :p
