Actually, jiangshi is chinese zombie, and also a vampire sometimes, that's it.
If resident evil was ever made by chinese, then all the enemies in it will definitely be jiangshi.

Well, when i said Ghoul i was more referring to the kind like those Ghouls in Tokyo Ghouls.
They have similarities with but at the same time different than zombies and vampire.

What if i told you, that one of the ancient trait of jiangshi is that their whole bone joints is absolutely stiff and unmovable, so their only method of moving is by hopping and jumping? (Or maybe floating and flying and warping using some magic.)
The way they move also used by Indonesian traditional zombie, Pocong.

I need to watch that anime, i don't know what your describing as i haven't watched it but i can see similarities with mythology ghouls as well..

I personally recommend only the first season though, the next season after that got really unfaithful to the original source that is the manga, which in turn makes it felt so bad compared to the first season in my opinion.

For those who never read or watch Tokyo Ghouls (TG), the similarity i found with the ghouls there and this monstergirl is:
That red-flesh giant claw of the monstergirl's reminds me of how some ghouls in TG have the ability to grew extra red-flesh-styled appendages as means of combat. Plus, that spinning jump attack by the monstergirl also reminds me of how most ghouls in TG are very agile.

Ah, but well, rather than debating the species of the new monstergirls, i really think we should just wait until Zell himself give us more clarification about the new monstergirls!

Well the manga is out here in the uk so i'll read that instead seeing as it's not as faithful to the manga as we would hope.

the vampire moniker comes from the fact they steal a persons chi, thus giving them a vampiric nature. though this is a common occurrence in asian folklore. it's believed the is because many spirits/creatures are made of mostly yin and crave yang energy, which humans especially men produce.

I am not a huge fan of vore, but who knows maybe Zell will make the animation interesting to watch.

Yeah just auto-translated the post, it's an instant death the first of it's kind in this game. It apparently doesn't melt clothes though or leave them.
Zell said it may not be included in the next update.

Be glad that there's no internal view right now.

I am not a huge fan of vore, but who knows maybe Zell will make the animation interesting to watch.

i... ugh i dont know what to think about the vore thing.like i never thought i see zell doing vore at all so i dont know if hes going go insane and do that hard vore stuff down the line or its going end of with your char turning into water or worst... that kinda worrys me...
i like look of the new monster girl i guess only good thing about it right now but thats just me but eh everything else so far he made has been pretty great so hey who knows

I'm not very surprised about the vore thing really, i mean I've seen allot of it in the monster girl genre.
I'm not into it yet neither averse to it so if zell wants too add it in i'd be fine just as long as the game wasn't all about vore which it definitely isnt.

So allow me to say this:
i won't let one or two scene that cater to fetishes that i find unappealing prevents me from playing a legit good sprite sex monstergirl game!

Judging by how the floor was that of a shallow water, i hope it safe to assume you'll only find these monstergirl on lower ground edged pits or alike, so at least they are unable to literally chases you to the end of the stage.

Which actually can turn out to be a kinda dark and depressing scenario like when you accidentally fall to the pit with this monstergirl presents and unable to get out, which means you can only wait for your death being eaten by the monster.
