Introduction​


Greetings, this thread was created for us to present our first game, Subverse

"Subverse" is our very first original IP, it's also our very first videogame, among all of our previous works.

Subverse is a tactical RPG/SHMUP hybrid that takes place in a fully explorable galaxy where you get to be the Captain of your very own ship which is crewed by the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Assemble an elite team of deadly alien waifus that will fight for you. Learn their backstories, earn their loyalty and they'll do other stuff for you too.
Enjoy a surreal meta-plot of comedic science fiction filled with memorable perverts and deviant villains. Discover sidequests and complete them for loot and purchase upgrades and awesome stuff for your ship.
Engage in plot-driven SHMUP missions if you’ve got a twitchy thumb, or tactical grid RPG turn-based combat for a more nuanced approach involving less maneuvering. Your enemies range from space pirates, bounty hunters, rogue warrior pleasure droids and other assorted scumbags. Collect rare DNA samples across your adventures to create vicious bio-weapon monsters called MANTICORES (Mantics) to fight alongside your crew. Outside of combat, your troops can serve another purpose by keeping your waifus satisfied.

Okay, I'll admit, this looks like it might have some production quality to it. If anything I'm actually really quite surprised. Though there's some things I am worried about, to name a few would start with the fact the game play in what limited videos there are of it seems as though it could get a bit stale, showing more of it wouldn't be a terrible idea. Second, I fear some of the tiers might be a bit unrealistic, though all the same I have seen much, much worse that offered very little by comparison. Given the pledges so far I very genuinely hope at least a few are reached.
Normally I don't like to pledge to this sort of shit but I guess I'll make an exception.
Also down to clown with the male protag. Can't get into shit if I can't self insert the ever-loving-fuck out of it.
 
Wow, i never knew how much i wanted studiofow to make a game until the madmen fucking went for it.
 
Characters are really cute. The SHMUP/asteroids part looks good. The RPG/Xcom part also looks great. I am looking forward to this as a game (not so much hentai as you guys are rather vanilla for my tastes)
 
What engine is used for the game? UE4?
 
Interesting, would you be able to tell me how the player will switch between action and tactical gameplay? Is it a choice at the start that's locked in permanently or can one switch between missions?
 
Well, this is certainly the most production value I've ever seen on an H-game shown off here. I'll certainly give it that. I'm not entirely sure what kind of content we're really looking to get here though, in terms of H, that is.
 
What do people have against male protagonists, anyways? It's easier to self-insert with them, and you get to see a variety of nice looking girls. Much prefer that rather than playing as a girl and seeking out dicks.

I'm also interested in playing both versions of the combat. I hope I wouldn't have to choose one and be stuck with it throughout the entire playthrough. Perhaps it can be a case-by-case thing where we can choose to solve our issues with ship combat, or send a squad in to infiltrate? Perhaps there's encounters that can involve both? Or is it if you're in a situation that involves the ship-combat game, you just have an option to skip it and it'll just assume you won and move on?

From what is said, the main character (you) gets a share of the H action as well, but it's also been stated that, "Outside of combat, your troops can serve another purpose by keeping your waifus satisfied. " So you can willingly send your waifus to go get gangbanged by your lab-grown monster troops, I guess. I'm not sure if I'm into that (yet), but it's something to be expected when you look at FOW's animation works, so I can't be mad at FOW doing FOW things. However, if there's something like upgrades, will the only way to upgrade the monster units be having them run a train on the waifus?

I read the kickstarter page and I'm still kinda left wanting for more answers. But some of those answers likely can't be answered without a little bit of work on the project, so I guess I'll wait for a little bit more information before deciding if I want to invest a little into it, but for now I'll just say good luck!
 
Okay I am interested BUT seeing as it is Kickstarter I won't touch it. Not that it is a bad game design and all but CHRIST! 13 for the lowest tier and up to 150 plus for highest!? If it releases and I had to pay into the KS to get the H stuffs I will get pissed. I mean good luck to ya but until I see an "affordable" way to support I won't be touching this yet.

And if you release it on Steam will there be a way to get it so I don't need to have this game show up on my game library. I mean I have no A rated games on my account and I don't want to have any show up to my buddies. Will there be another way to buy it if it comes out? Maybe so I don't need Steam at all maybe?
 
Is there going to be any rape or bad endings in this?
 
I've heard quite a bit of bad shit about FOW unfortunately. Generally shitting on other artists, failing to pay their own properly and shitting on them after as a smoke-screen; Banning without explanation people on their Patreon who even mentioned Asstroid Prime (The Metroid parody that never got made); Pressing one of their artists to finish their work despite their being in hospital, then when they did, they scrapped it, told them to do it over again and ended up not using it anyway; Publically doxxing one of their artists.
These are all unsubstantiated allegations as of yet, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it were all true.

So you're thinking this probably won't be finished due to generic dev excuse #12
 
My first thought is... Is the four girls showcased on title picture is it. Or is there more girls not shown yet? I'm quite curious at how many choices I have in that game.

Looks like a couple more girls will be unlocked as this progresses through the funding tiers. Edit: 2 and one's already been unlocked, second is close, this got funded way too quickly.

Also, I've noticed something odd over the years. That SFM porn makers seem to be obsessed with tongues. Like it's obvious that they're not animating them well, but they HAVE to include some rather tongue centric scenes in their work. I get it, a tongue isn't an easy thing to animate and I'm not ragging on them for being unable to do so well, but it's bad direction to focus on them if you can't.

This did make me laugh, I've lost count of the projects that start off with quick progress then end up in eternal stalling with really terrible excuses. As another user parodied once "Sorry guys, my cat got sick so I won't be making any progress this month".
 
After snooping about on the Discord they made I noticed they are doing a QnA on the new game. They however did not answer the question on how they got it on Steam, and they did say if you did not support the Kickstarter you won't get the dlc. If they do not follow through with their "hey we will definitely finish this because we have the funds now." it will just add to the long list of false promises many adult game developers have made. But like I said before, if I don't see any other way to play it (apparently I am not the only one who does not want this on their Steam game list) I will not buy it. And from what I have heard they are placing it under the $60 price tag. So this is a hard pass for a huge part of the community.
 
I wonder if OP is even going to come back and answer any questions. It's a brand new account and the thread is their first and only post.
