I doubt it tbh. All I am getting on the Discord is openly mocked for asking a simple question. "Will it only be on Steam? I don't want my friends to see this pop up on the list considering some are under 15." I got this "Maybe you should get more understanding friends LOL" Yeah not very professional tbh.

Update: Now I am getting attacked in personal messages by their rabid fan boys. I will just state this so all of you guys here can see it,
If you ask a question that they don't like they will delete it.
If you ask about alternative game downloads they will delete it and mock you.
If you mention anything about the failed game they will delete it and block you.
If you say anything negetive about the game their fans will attack you.

That is what I am seeing so far, but hey this is just me... and several others as well. Not that I am hating on them for reaching their goal in 3 days of over 150,000 us dollars but this game will (in my opinion) cause nothing but flack for them. They are putting it on Steam with non-con but labeling it as "comedic satire." so I am not getting my hopes up.

I did find it strange to censor questions that are legitimate. BUT answer the "how many tit does so and so have?" types. A QnA should address the game I know but "How will it play? How much" is being trumped by "Can I bang the squid girl?", seriously the squid girl got answered but the how much conveniently was ignored.

Looks like a couple more girls will be unlocked as this progresses through the funding tiers. Edit: 2 and one's already been unlocked, second is close, this got funded way too quickly.

Yeah, the robot and demon one doesn't interest me. They're a typical western caricature.

However if the robot was hot like kos-mos xenosaga and the demon was fine like Hild from ah my goddess then I'd be very very interested. Because as it stands I only like the megane chick out of four ladies shown so this is pretty much a skip for me unless I happen to like two other ladies not shown yet as you mentioned.

I think their intent was to find out if the game would be purchasable on distribution platforms outside of steam. That doesn't fall under the linkbegging rule, does it?

I went to the discord link and asked then I was attacked there. I told them you won't sell many copies if you are not clear on what it will cost and where to get it. Then the pitchforks and torches came out.
Sorry if my earlier posts were misunderstood, I was trying to get some info from them and well, I was very disappointed in the results.

Maybe they don't know yet and are not responding for that reason. They're most likely not worrying about that now for the fact that they're scrambling to get stuff done since they reached their goal the same month they put their kickstarter out. You can't make an ambitious a game as they're making in a month.

I understand that and tbh you were WAY more civil than they were. The only major question I asked was "is it going to be anywhere else but Steam?" and I was openly mocked and told off by many of their "fans". I'd rather not buy it from Steam either. Partly because I don't think the game would actually stay on Steam, and partly because I don't want to have to make a new account just to buy it and keep people from my personal life from seeing it. That said, even if they said it'd be only on Steam, who knows when that could change, developers can pull the rug at any time. I'm only reminded about how many AA and AAA games have said that they were going to go on Steam and then decided to sign a one year exclusivity deal to EPIC Games Store. Or how you can buy Skyrim on basically anything now. It'd be great if this game was on itch.io or DLsite, though. Although DLsite takes a huge cut and will probably want them to censor things for that version, so they probably wouldn't want to put it there unless they really wanted to bring in the Japanese market.

Changing your status doesn't mean they can't go to your profile and see your recently played games or entire collection of games. And I wasn't implying they were going to go to the Epic games store, I merely brought it up as an example and to comment on how quickly devs can change their minds.

As far as DLsite goes, yeah the censoring is annoying, but the "sell 2 copies" thing is just anecdotal. Meltys Quest which was developed by an American and a Japanese person has almost 3000 buys on English DLsite and almost 9000 on Japanese DLsite. So 12,000 purchases without even counting their Steam sales, means they've made quite a bit. Kurovadis is a Western developed game and has over 9000 buys JP (not memeing) and 1359 buys on ENG, which is pretty good. Eroico has 3600 JP + 1294 ENG, which is still a chunk of change. This is a lot more than fucking 2 copies.

A lot of it probably has to do with marketing. You can just sell something to DLsite but that doesn't mean people are going to see or know about it. It's even worse if you don't provide a trial, which some games don't. Making even a minimal attempt at advertising on Pixiv or reaching to Japanese people on twitter can help a lot. This game in particular probably wouldn't benefit THAT much though because I'm assuming there's going to be quite a bit of written story involved, and they'd have to make efforts, possibly financial efforts, to translating it but it's not impossible. So.. you know.. get the fuck outta here with that shit.

I can´t say much to the negative stuff but I really enjoy their movies and animations. A lot of stuff is really high quality and the voice acting is really good. The gameplay looks solid and I kinda like that they seem to trash all over other games like Mass Effect. It´s atleast some money worth for me even if it is just some Xcom with porn movies.

DLsite also seem to be a terrible choice nowadays. Pretty much every dev that had an english translated game there or wants his game to be translated in the future, seems to switch to steam and chooses Kagura Games. I don´t know whats going on there but a heard a lot of negative stuff about DLsite(atleast the english version).

Correct me if I´m wrong but even if Subverse gets taken down after they have released it already shouldn´t you be able to still play it?

Anyways about dlsite, I got tired of their bullshit charges to my cards that I couldn't stop no matter what so i just got myself a new card. Which sucks because there's a bunch of games I want to buy off dlsite but i do not enjoy being charged from 1 cent to almost one dollars several times each month. They can fuck off. Apparently there is a option to disable this so called "service" on their website, couldn't find it so i decided its easier to just cancel the card and get new one. Stating the bullshit charges as reason why.

Okay I am interested BUT seeing as it is Kickstarter I won't touch it. Not that it is a bad game design and all but CHRIST! 13 for the lowest tier and up to 150 plus for highest!? If it releases and I had to pay into the KS to get the H stuffs I will get pissed. I mean good luck to ya but until I see an "affordable" way to support I won't be touching this yet.

And if you release it on Steam will there be a way to get it so I don't need to have this game show up on my game library. I mean I have no A rated games on my account and I don't want to have any show up to my buddies. Will there be another way to buy it if it comes out? Maybe so I don't need Steam at all maybe?

Considering prices for visual novel can reach up to 25ish USD Id say 13 is very reasonable. Especially since you get a bit more complex gameplay than just optional paths in a VN. Regarding the final cost. It's a bit up in the air. It's most likely gonna be more than the lowest pledge tier.

Also regarding the steam thing I can recommend just making a new account. I have one like that for my nsfw games.
They haven't outright denied any possibility of another platform, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

I'm on that discord actually and I'm sorry you've had to face that level of attacks.
Regarding the QnA yes, questions that have been asked before was deleted so that the person in charge of answering wouldn't have to keep answering the same questions over and over.
And some members have unfortunately not a lot of patience since this happens quite frequently. Regardless it's unfortunate that people still give smack.
Also I double checked on the discord and the one who responded was indeed not professional, but not really a representative of the community either. The reason why your question was not answered by mrkristoff was most likely because it had been answered in the past.

Also regarding the non con part, this game will actually be consensual in nature.

Oh and I think part of the reason they intend to release it on steam is because the SFM engine got them this far. Even though they switched to unreal engine, it might be a homage to that.
