Anti-tamper in scripts of free accessed archive. It is strange. I just wanted to take a look and didn't think that dev has so bugs in his head. Changing time to japanese even with run in Locale emulator also not working. Understood but this game is not worth the effort. Not working and not working. Anyway thanks for the info.

Early on in this thread someone shared a mod for the safe for work MaidenSnow game that enabled those NSFW bits in it. Ramble Rabbit was not best pleased by that, and has been using techniques to prevent modifications to their games ever since.

And in result prevented possibility for play in it... Who shared the mod wich enabled those bits still most possible will be able to edit and disable this antitamper added in ingame scripts but most of common people will have problems. Its sad..

I too also tried playing the latest version of MaidenSnow, but as habisain mentioned, I had to change my Region/Format to Japanese in order for the game to work. Seeing that RR is still against modding, I guess it's safe to say MaidenSnow -Violated is no longer being kept up with the last version being from 2013, at least publicly.

I recently came across this image on a certain Chinese BBS and had begun digging around where the source was and so far had led me to here. At first, I wasn't aware that MaidenSnow Eve was based off of the original non-H game which I believe this mod takes inspiration from and was wondering if this mod of the game was still being maintained and updated to play along the more recent updates of MaidenSnow.
So far, all I could really find were threads and links between Sept. and Oct. 2013. From reviewing the thread from posts by ModEater and such, it appears the author didn't want people to mod his game. Is that still the case?

It's very much the case. Ramble Rabbit became very protective of his games after ModEater posted that, and took measures that have actually been quite effective in discouraging mods of his work. Not completely effective; it's an RPGMaker game and the anti-tamper stuff is implemented in Ruby i.e. you can just disable it in the source. However, to the best of my knowledge no-one has actually done that publicly.
I'll also state something I've said before: there's actually a fair amount of drama that hasn't been posted publicly here regarding the Viorated mod. While I was never able to nail this down 100%, ModEater was very likely a pseudonym of another Japanese Dev who I gather had been, let's say, rather discourteous to Ramble Rabbit for some time. I won't publicly name names because I'm not 100% certain, but it's not too hard to figure it out if you have a think about devs who would have the knowledge and inclination to do this, as there's only a couple of games that used the MaidenSnow engine (note: the MaidenSnow engine is, or at least was, open source under something that seemed like a BSD-style license, although I'll admit I'm not quite fluent enough to parse Japanese legal text).

I did some digging and found an old Japanese forum post from 2013 discussing the mod but the links were all dead. I also found a file listing for it on some sketchy Chinese website but it says you have to buy the "link" which screams scam to me. it also looks like it is hosted on Baidu so if it is not a scam then it will still be a massive pain to get an account to download it. Other than being uncensored and having different character costumes/customisation it does not seem to be much different to Eve from the screenshots I found.

Gears Freak maybe? The gameplay is similar but that game is very heavily customised so I do not know if it has the actual framework or it's something that the Developer had made themselves.
From the bit I've played, it's exactly that like that. The mod itself seems to have been taken from the demo build of Eve so I don't believe there will be much content outside of that as the base game is still being updated to this day. Guys, I tried to find all the prisoners but for some reason I can't find the one in Charnel in Chantment. There's no lightless path in this place...
Also I'm in beginner mode right now and want to switch to normal mode... but i can't find any place to switch modes even after i restart by going to sleep... anyone know what's up?
I think you can change difficulties from Normal to Hard (Daimakyou), but not sure about Easy to Normal or any backwards though.
You can check which prisoner you can and have saved via the Memory in your game Menu, under the name 'A Eve' I think. I always confused the two memories, one is for enabling 5 bosses battle, the other one is for checking the prisoners status.
There is no all-purpose-ultimate form of gears in this game. Basically, there are four things that can bring you down:
- Weakness to rape
- Weakness to debuffs (especially against Belle)
- Weakness to status restriction (especially against Arachne)
- Weakness to strong battles (or certain elements especially in Cho-makyou Border of Erosion, On-fire becomes very deadly)
You can be powerful on one aspect, or maybe two, but with limited gear slots and backpack, one can never be good in all. So know what enemies you will face then choose your gears and bring items wisely, and hope you won't stuck with monster infestation that counters you whole. You can also check builds posted on first page I think, to get some gist of how some of an end game builds will looks like. There are more varieties depending on your playstyle.

Yeah... So, that version is meant for the Japanese audience and one of the things it checks for is your computer timezone. Just set it to Tokio, Japan.
Use the self-extracting .exe to unpack the game and don't mess with game files at all. It checks the date created/modified parameter of the .rgss3a to prevent mods

You choose the save slot at the start of the game. Notice how it says "New Game<1>" Hitting up/down keys(in Eve, left/right in Great Youkai Boundary) changes that number indicating a different save slot.
