Grave looked at the button as if he expected it to stare back. He wondered whether he should press it or not - after all, the device could be a trap... On the other hand, the pile of dead Lurkers suggested that it was made by them, and since they were allies now, perhaps the button should be pressed. Grave shrugged and pressed it, hoping he wasn't doing anything stupid. He also had a feeling that he was forgetting about something... The darkling took a look around before noticing the queen, who was about to leave the room.

'Oh. That.'

The rest was silence... Except for the sound of bones being crushed. "Grave here... Siphon, I think I may have killed the queen."

"The Queen bailed ship too? Figures. Female Wraith, probably scantily clothed and either Long Red hair or Long White hair right?"

Grave gave the corpse a second look. "Yep, it kinda matches the description... Well, I assume that it's a good thing she's dead."

Sin shrugged, and followed the others into the red tailed marked vehicles. She didn't know who this 'Kane' was, but she'd find out eventually.

"Affirmative, a very good thing. Any remaining wraith left will no longer have a direct line of orders coming through, meaning they'll become predictable."

Grave yawned. "Whatever... Anyway, where should I look for you guys?" The darkling left the room and climbed out of the trench, letting the soldiers deal with wraith survivors. "Oh, and I do hope you're planning a little break after this... Even if you really want to go after your target. The team's scattered and we could use a little break. Plus, I have no idea what I'm capable of at the moment."

For a while now Oni had stopped following the group, instead he had remained a little ways away from where the ring had exploded. Now though his appearance had taken a more miasmic form, dark energies bursting here and there off the cloud. Inside two voices could be heard.

"Hahaha, you'll break eventually!" Gig shouts at Oni, his voice ringing with both joy and anger.

"Dammit, I'll not give you control regardless of what happens," Came Oni's reply, though his voice sounded strained.

"Heh, looks like you're weakening. Who knew, all these years and it was this planet that would bring you to your knee's,"

"Fuck off, I'll never...let you....have my body," Oni's voice grows more and more weak as he speaks.

"Looks like I don't have to wait long, even if you don't want to give me control you have no choice."

A long silence follows before an explosion of dark energy rips from the cloud of darkness. A shockwave of dark energy washes over the entire planet before everything settles.

"HHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" As the dust settles Oni can be seen standing where he was just a cloud moments before, though there was something different about him. "Finally, I have complete control over this fucking body!" Gig had finally taken control, and as he spoke wings of dark energy grew out of his back until they reached a span of twelve foot.

"Attention all would-be planet protectors and planet destroyers. Gig the almighty has claimed this planet as his own, anyone who want's to join me in the taking over of it can, any who stand in my way will die!" Gig's message sounded all over the planet.

Grave could feel the shockwave - he didn't really need to hear Gig's message. He heard about the destroyer, though. "Tch... Him... But how did he...?" The darkling was interrupted by his own body, though. It reacted to the fallout of Gig's godlike energy. Grave could feel his own killer instinct awakening... Somehow, he forced it back, mainly because the disruption was momentary... However, deep inside himself the darkling could sense something... Something his mind couldn't recognize, but his body seemed to be quite familiar with this. "Gah... Like I didn't have enough problems on my own... I really need to learn to control this power of mine... But still, why did it react to Gig?"

Sin screamed, clutching at her head and falling to her knees as the dark powers washed over her. Her muscles twitched, her head throbbed in agony, and in the back of her mind a woman's voice called out to her.

Her eyes shut tightly as Gig's voice drilled into her ears, conflicting with the woman's voice, a voice only Sinful could hear.

"Be strong little one... your time will arise again," it said, memories of the past flooding across her mind, reminding her of what she was.

Her fingers twisted as they ran through her hair, fingernails scraping against her scalp. She threw her head back and let out a long howl towards the sky.

Siphon's eyes flared dangerously, the aura of the virus's FULL power crackling around him. Such power would be felt by any near him, perhaps even detected by Gig. It's presence was very strong, and clearly not what Siphon had believed it to be and sold it off to be.

He knew something was wrong, and ordered the vehicle to stop, jumping off as he did. It was fortunate he did, for a moment later both fists erupted into a solid flame wall, and the voice that came from his lips was clearly not his own.


"Even gods can be slain, bring it if you dare."


The material his clothing was made of was also seeming to phase in and out, likely something of a supernatural nature.

After Gig had transformed, he would hear a whine as something invisible shot past him, then drilled a hole in a nearby pile of rubble, going clear through and continuing on. The shot, of one lined it up, would have passed just below one of his wings "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" a voice yells, nearly a mile away and positioned on top of a building, a massive rifle in his hands as he pulls back on the bolt, then slides a large canister into the rifle, sliding the bolt forward again and firing, this one heading directly towards Oni's forehead.

Elsewhere in the city, a group of two buggies and two bikes, accompanied by two strange rounded tanks, begins to move through the city, smoke flowing out of one of the buggies "It appears your friend has gone crazy. And here you just wanted to clean up the city before beginning the operation." a man says over a radio inside the vehicle as a cigar flies out of the buggy.

Sin bit her lip after the howl, until blood started to trickle down her chin. "Leave me alone, I finished the contract you bitch," she yelled at the sky, seemingly to no one.

After the outburst she fell forward, shaking slightly, her muscles still in spasms.

Indeed, Gig felt Siphon's viral presence.

"Heh, looks like there's someone here that may pose a challenge to me," He says as he laughs, a loud, clearly crazed laugh. Though a moment later the felt something rush past his wing.

"Hah! One of you fools dare to challenge me now?" He calls out to the unseen enemy. As the second shot is about to hit his head a bright flash and the sound of hitting metal rings out, and for the briefest of moments Gig's Shadow Judge helmet can be seen. "You really think I have the weakness of that pitiful human now? I can control my Shadow Judge form at will!"

Grave shook his head. He had no idea what to do. Siding with Gig could mean fun, but at the same time, Grave had a feeling that he shouldn't really trust the fallen god. His teammates were probably going to try to do something about this, but since both C.O.'s had a habit of rushing in without a plan, things wouldn't be ok on the other side either. Perhaps he should stay on his own, for now... Bide his time and see how the situation evolves.

Tsuki was stunned by the news of Sparky's and John's death. How could they have died?!? They'd both helped her considerably, especially Sparky who'd saved her life. She wanted to cry... her savior had died. Life just had to keep putting her down, didn't it?

"R- right...I-" she started to respond when she felt the wave of darkness. What in the world was that? Sure, she wasn't attuned to the supernatural stuff, magic and what not, but still, she felt something was horribly wrong.

"What... is going on?"

Gig felt the hesitation in Grave, after all they were both attuned to the negative stream.

"Why the hesitation?" Gig's voice sounded in Grave's mind. "Join me and no one will put a stop to your destructive instincts. At the moment your powers will only go to waste, they wont allow you to go full power."

Grave groaned. "Great... As if I didn't have enough on my head. Listen up, Gig. I am destructive and aggressive, but I'm not completely evil. I sort of have my own code, and I'm not sure whether working with you fits within it's bounds. As for my powers, I'll be the one to decide how to use them."

The darkling shook his head, sighing. "I figured you wouldn't understand... There's more to life than destruction, you know. And I don't think I feel like working with you. By they way, who are those they and why do you think I give a damn about their opinions?"

"Your commanding officers, naturally. Siphon and Burrito seem like the kind of people that would rather crush those who'd disobey them rather than deal with the problem. And I understand what you say, I just choose to destroy rather than let things stay as they are, it powers me after all."
