Here people are just speaking from preference. No one's judging anyone else, and no one's trying to bring "logic" into it.
Talks about sexual matters are way more civil in adult boards like this vs twitter.

I don't get the hate.

I've had discussions about programming theory there (for instance getting paypal's API to work with a python backend), and it's one of the only places I can find active discussions on relatively obscure manga. Had an entire thread's worth of conversation on Nostradamus Love.

It's just big is all. The bigger the platform, the bigger the trash that can come out of it. If the ULMF was as big as twitter it'd be the same thing.

I've gotten tons of useful information out of reddit, I would not recommend reddit to someone unfamiliar with it.
I completely dislike with a burning passion western anime companies such as crunchy roll or funi, but I'll recommend them to people trying to get into anime.
There's some crazy videos and recipes I've learned from facebook, I don't trust facebook with information on my pet much less myself.
Google is just as bad with information, but their services are usually on point (except translation lol) and I use them often.

The good doesn't cancel out the bad, the bad doesn't make the good less prominent. The overall view is what matters.
You don't get the hate, because you judge the good out weight (or at least equalize) the bad.
I can't come to love it, because it IS a cesspool for echo chambers. I've personally had no problems finding info and discussions on my hobbies elsewhere.

About ULMF, that may be true....but also that may not come to pass. It's really a pointless what-if. No matter how big a platform becomes, it falls on those who run things whether it becomes trash, welcomes the trash or keep it's status quo. That's literally what rules and regulations are for. When the mods don't care (or it's more profittable to turn a blind eye), that's when what you say occurs.

I hate to be that guy, but normally, the release/"raw' untranslated game is uploaded pretty quick. And scrolling back to page 321, our man Cyber Eclipse was also working on apk and such. I can't for the life of me find the game from the MEGA repository or otherwise though. Should I just DM someone or...?

Well, to be fair, the people here have done a tremendous job at translating a lot of the menus and a good amount of the games too,so I guess it might have set a expectation that everything feels translated. Just remember that the most recent game is a lot more text heavy,thus a lot harder to translate than the battle games. And it doesn't help that translating the sex scenes probably involve a lot of Ahn~ and various Japanese girl noises. I've...played some untranslated games with text hooks and even putting them through google translate, and the context...ends up being the same most of the time. It gets kind of jarring at times.
