Speaking of the Notorious fights in the true routes, are they different from what we get when we first fight them?
Yes they kill you now.
Even though the reason should be moot at this point...

I checked my files, and wanted to ask:
"This patch is based on version 1.0.1 of the Japanese game"
Am I missing (deleted?) an early patch? Or is that 1.1.0? I'm not sure how to check, since the patch doesn't have アップデートの手順.txt
Would anyone still have this 1.0.1 patch, if I'm wrong? It would certainly help if I'm using the same version as SNStep.
PS: the earliest version I have is v1.0.4 (excluding v1.0.0)

(The devs have a sticky post for only the latest update on their ci-en, which makes it kinda impossible to - likely on purpose - downgrade to a lesser version (unless someone has the patch-files saved somewhere of course ^w^) )

It doesn't seem to include breaking changes as far as I'm aware (I skimmed through it) - which makes sense because they need to keep it maintainable for modders.
Therefor I wouldn't say it's that much of a problem to use a different version for translations. Applying the patch of SNStep to newer versions works flawlessly too.

I'd say that's the fair way to treat lazy bums unable to search a thread. My sympathies, @Nostalgiac, for your wasted kindness; apparently page 3 is too far away for these guys... (excluding the ones who do say 'please')

It kind of surprised me since v1.0.1 patch stayed online for barely a day, but the timeline with the 1st patch seems consistent.
Sucks for me :LOL: More monkey work to compare files, lines, and hopefully build a working T++ project.
Just to be clear: catching up with patches is a massively tedious annoyance. T++ would help greatly, or a good translator would have to spend valuable time doing this aforementioned monkey work, which is better left to some code monkey. Ooga booga.

I'll be honest, I'm not even 100% sure it is, since there's at least one fix supposedly from 1.0.1 that doesn't appear to work in my patched files. But that's what the game's readme file said it was when I got it from DLSite, so it's what I'd been assuming.

I'm not too bothered by the monkey-work, though. As I've mentioned before, it gives me a chance to do some editing/make corrections. Just gonna be a bit time consuming, but the editing would make it that anyway.

Speaking of time-consuming, another small status update: 2nd-round Notorious are done (and I hate translating Fulbuea...I hope she has fans, because at least would make her being a chore, worth it) as are the the various pre-encounter scenes for everyone, but I still have to all the post-encounters, mementos, and final boss. So I'm thinking...about halfway, maybe?

Good news, since I'll need to start off with 1.0.0.

I should probably wait until the translations in the frozen basement are finished, but I'm really curious. What does the storyteller let you change? I know it's something like you "change the vocabulary", but in what way?

The sort of...perfectionist in me would prefer not to, simply because each one has some plot-related post-cutscenes, and those are still incomplete. I'd like people to be able to experience the content in-context as much as possible when I release the patches. Sorry if that's not a very fun answer; the good news is that I'm off from work again for a few days and I spent a fair bit of time on things today, and got further than I expected. That "50%" may have been an underestimation (although the final boss is long, so we'll see).

I should probably wait until the translations in the frozen basement are finished, but I'm really curious. What does the storyteller let you change? I know it's something like you "change the vocabulary", but in what way?
It lets you change how the enemies refer to themselves, to the player characters, and what dirty words they use to describe certain parts of anatomy, among other things like that.
The problem is that a lot of those things simply don't translate to English. I could probably make creative use of a thesaurus or Urban Dictionary for that last bit, but for example, in English, we have only one first-person pronoun: "I", while in Japanese, you can have them refer to themselves with "atashi" or "watashi" or by their own name (which is allowed in Japanese, linguistically speaking), and various others. And since, unlike Japanese, English has things like subject/verb agreement, it's not even something like I could incorporate them referring to themselves in the third-person, or something, either. (subject/verb agreement is also, incidentally, why I hated to start making some changes to the way combat text is delivered with 0.85).
Because during the boss rush, the protagonist's identity changes from "[Character name]" to "you", and so I had to get creative with phrasing to make the content grammatically match both 2nd-person and 3rd-person pronouns.
Similarly, some of it is based on things like whether they say your name. Is "Seiji" written in kanji, or katakana? Similarly, do they use "-san", or "-kun" after his name, or no honorific? If they use "-kun", is it as "君", "くん", or "クン"? They're all the same word, just written differently, an do imply different things to Japanese readers, but in English, those sorts of implications are conveyed in different ways.

Hence, the book is a pain and doesn't work very well in English.

I tried to see if I could doom humanity to death by having none of the guys able to satisfy the first succubus, but the game thought that was too lame i guess it wouldn't let me do that.

Yeah, English has always been the oddball when it comes to grammars and such. Probably best to leave the book alone especially if it doesn't impact the game that much.

Bro that saved is bugged since only 3 succubus can tranform... i tried everithing and i cant make the other succ transfrom, so thats the reason i ask for another save. But apreciated your info.

Animation wise it's no reverse. Context wise you can do some groping and humping depending on your build.

there's a bug in the english patch when fighting against undine ( idk if it's only happen when you using the first main character or not )
the bug is, when you ask undine to hug you (slave stance then use ask [combo chance after let her lead]) the text that shown is get cut off

Thanks, I went back and it seems to have been caught in my current iteration of things. Not sure how or when, but apparently something I was working on for 1.0 had me go back into that file. But thanks to the report, I know for sure it's fixed now!

found another one, when fighting against yukari ( the girl from swimming club )

i'll go search for another bug while i'm playing, and wow thanks for the fast response there
