Yup it runs like ass on my toaster as well, sadly
agreed, the game got an upgrade in term of graphic quality and that's good, but the graphic just too great that even my old shit have hard time to work on it. this is some weird dilema....

Well, calling the jump from 2d to 3d an "upgrade" straight out is kind of...debatable, but of course i'm not gonna go ahead and say something as bullshitic and that, i get your point...and to that point, i've got to say... it's pretty difficult for devs who work with the Unity engine version that's not il2cpp based to optimize it..., so they end up being quite demanding.

I've been looking into this, by the way, there seems to be one mod for MelonLoader called RuntimeGraphicsSettings but aimed at il2cpp based games, which was made for this VRChat game thing, and as name implies, allows tweaking a little beyond to get those extra FPS. Things like textures, shadows, lighting, etc all that shite.
Anyway, sadly, i haven't found anything for games like this that are not il2cpp based.... hmmm...

I have completely forgotten about this game! I haven't subscribed to his fantia cuz i think the game might be boring but taht's more of the case of me not really seeing anything about it. Its all hidden.

There's a lot going on behind the scenes, but there's still no new demo out.

It's been a whole year's passing since the last...

If only the dev dont spend most of their times with the vr chat, -if only-
I didn't wanna say it for fear of being frowned upon, but yeah... I absolutely loathe how much time they spend fucking around on VRchat doing their dumb sword fights.

Like geez. I know some game devs have issues or just struggle with things... but Japanese game devs in particular saturate their twitter accs doing pretty much anything but developing their games.

It all depends on the developer, some devs like to use their blogs as both places of blogging their life and their game development. I know quite a few like ルさんちまん and he's finished a lot of H games currently. At least, it's not as bad as the western devs with more than half of them at some point talking about some medical injury or their dog died lol.

This creator has spurred red flags already anyway, he's slow, went out of his way to take down pirate links and even killing some of his own patreons to find the culprit. It didn't even matter in the end since he abandoned this H game in favor of that 3D one that is pretty much in limbo all the same. Based on his actions, you can tell he treats this without responsibility or a simple lack of experience, there's no reason to have expectations. Shame too considering not many people have animated energy drain milking stuff.

He abandoned his old project because "his hands hurt" or something, only to start a new project with 3D modeling and animation. Dunno what you still expect of this guy.

Yeah an unusually high amount of devs suffer from medical issues... I can respect if a developer just straight up informs us that they have lost motivation, I invest in their ci-en/patreon accepting the risk that the project might fail but trying to keep it going by making excuses or slowing progress to a crawl is unacceptable. If they want to take a break for a few weeks/months then that is fine but they should communicate that to their supporters beforehand.

I've found that, amusingly, some of the more reliable jap H devs are the 30-40 year old men (and one woman) who either hold a current job or previously held a job in the field of coding/graphic work. Don't want to sound like a boomer (I'm not) but a lot of the devs that seem to struggle with projects, both western and jap, seem to be twenty-somethings who jumped right into development as their primary job.

A lot of younger people get that burst of motivation to jump in and start on projects, but they just don't realize that the dopamine rush is temporary. There's a lot of slog to go through.

On the opposite end, the (relatively) older people have already demonstrated that they have what it takes to get through the grind, so you're not being a boomer, you're just pointing out expectation versus expertise and experience.

Eeeeh. Over a year's passing between the last demo but he doesn't have a great deal to show for it. Nothing that he hasn't shown a dozen times already.

Sure it's great there's two new enemy types added to the game... but they were being shown off at a completed stage a long time ago. New map, same map assets, thankfully better enemy HP numbers vs gun's ammo capacity, but still the same awkward manual reload and irritating fucking camera that poses more of a threat than the enemies do. I'm also noting that it doesn't run anywhere as smoothly as it used to despite there being a lot of zombie enemies on the screen for the last demo and it still running fine.

...with all that said, I'll still probably get the supporter version of the demo, if just for the sucking slimes and hope that things will be optimised.
