(So, Holi took 1 magic item, and the other 4 PCs took 2 each. Just keeping a tally of loot for the end. ^^; )

Aramil sits on the floor while the group decides how to spread out the loot. Trex paces, and Bolm walks around the cave, examining the dead zombies.

"I am prepared." Malacet says calmly, picking the Wand of Summoning back up, as nobody else seems to have claimed it while she was changing.

The group returns to the road uneventfully, and continues on the way to Stonebridge. The day drags on equally uneventfully, and as night approaches Trex stops the group near a small stream running parallel to the road; "I'll leave it up to you, do we want to keep going through the night, or camp near here for the night?"

I agree on stopping. I'd like to refresh my energies and we might not find another place with water as conveniently located if we keep going. Granth tacks on.

"Well... I wouldn't say all. All my lesser magic, maybe. Still got a bit left in me." He sighs. "Though, I'll agree that I'd like to rest a little while. Plundering a vampire's keep is a lot of work!" He chuckles at the last part.

"Fine by me, unless anyone else wants it I'm willing to take the first watch." Holi says as he refills his waterskin from the stream.

Holi takes the first watch with Trex, the rest move about preparing to sleep for the night. The night is uneventful, and Aramil rouses the rest of the group at dawn. Camp is packed up while Trex and Bolm pray, and before long you are under way once more.

(You didn't roll any encounters tonight, everyone gets their spells back. Two days of ten on the way to Stonebridge.)

As you travel, the morning wears on, and you stop as Aramil spots a man standing on a wooden watchtower, holding a crossbow off in the distance. He's already spotted you, and you can see him signaling to someone you can't see along the road. He appears to be human, and a handful of men gather around the base of the watchtower as you watch.

"Well hopefully these are friendly folk we've run into," Holi says as he watches the men gathering around the tower.

(If you didn't jump to the resting like you did, I would have cast the extended buffs on myself and whoever asked for them. I still had a good 6 or 7 spells in me to do so with. :/ )

"I'm sure they'd be firing on us if they weren't at least neutral." Tod comments, taking the rear of the group.

Carella positions herself to the front of the group, preparing to defend for any of ther others as she puts her acid concoction away, "I'm not a good talker... one of you tell them our intentions..."

"Well unless you want me to start a fight I'm not the best at talking either," Holi adds.

Bolm whispers; "I'm wondering what these boys are for, they look like bandits, but they ain't going directly for us, and there aren't any in the woods sneakin up on us."
Trex says; "Well, we won't find out what they want standing here. Aramil, Tod, Granth, and Malacet, stay here and gives us cover if they decide to take a shot at us. Carella, Bolm, stay here and make sure they don't get cut to pieces if they get ambushed by close range attackers. Holi, come with me and we'll see what this bunch is about, we'll have the best chance of getting out alive if they decide to attack." Then he grins; "Or cutting the lot of them down, if you prefer. But let me do the talking." With that he steps forward.
