(It also appears to be 6 hours before I asked for help, but RL time and in-game time are obviously not, um, collinear)

Jenn looks at Dr Ritter for a moment... a knife? Well, at least there'd be another set of hands to hold things.

"If you're still looking to go looting, feel free to assist me, Doctor."

(Do we have to "sign up" for a looting mission?)

Seeing Caitlyn actually climb the stairs, Claire's face lit up... just a little bit.

"Hey, you're back!" She greeted, thoughts of epic confrontations and explosions erased from mind for the moment. "Today's been quiet. Two of the girls brought back a man who's taking over for the guardswomen on the roof. Guy's got eyes like a hawk, but..." she tapped her head, her expression sympathetic, "he's lost a little something."

She cocked her head, wondering aloud, "that's not great news, we've only been here two days and everything but liquor around here's been taken? Wonder who else is holing up nearby." It was a little heartening, knowing that there were enough other people surviving out there, somewhere, but at the same time... well, competition for resources often ended poorly. "I'm so happy you got back safely," she was honest enough about that. Claire wasn't sure what she'd do (if she could do anything) if Caitlyn had returned harmed.

Dr. Ritter casts Jenn an unidentifiable look.

"Of course I still want to go- Wait, do you have a backpack or something similar? I completely forgot that we have to carry the goods back", she murmurs.

"MARVELOUS! Well then, let us move! These monsters will dread the sound of our feet." A giggle escapes her lips as the good doctor amuses herself about an in-joke. Like, really in. Only herself, to be precise.

River stayed out of the conversation for a moment, not having anything useful to say. She spoke up when she did, however.

"That's not a bad idea..." She says, thinking for a moment before continuing. "If we could get a good look over the rooftops, maybe even around dusk or so, we could spot any other lights on in the city, maybe see who else is around."

Vina was hoping for the fully truimphant victory, returning back heads held high. But as she made the final few steps into the inn she was dreading it, her lack of clothes meant that she would be walking in completely naked to a building full of people. The stretcher carried away Sera most people glanced Vina didnt give it a second thought, Vina guessed it must of been quite common to have naked women walking into the Inn all the time from failed missions or survivors that had been attacked. Instead she proudly she walked up the stairs to her room deciding to shower and wear her bath robes, at least she now had some comfort and decency, while she showered she wondered whether they was going to be rewarded for rescuing Sera, Vina had noticed the armor and certainly thought a set of that would go pretty well on her, and maybe she would enquire about it after she has a little sit down carrying that pregnant woman all that distance was quite the work out.

Claire nodded to River, liking the way the other redhead thought.

"I think David -- that's the man's name -- is sick of me already, but if you wanted to go up and ask him to keep an eye out, or to do a quick count yourself, that shouldn't be impossible."

She spared a glance for Vina as the woman came up the stairs, buck naked. Claire frowned at the reminder that they were far from really safe, even if people like David were watching over the hotel. Vina didn't look bad, but the sight of her in her current state made Claire's skin crawl. She quickly focused back on Caitlyn and River.

"We were pretty lucky," Caitlyn breathed a sigh of relief. "River and I really only encountered a few of the creatures; spiders, centipedes and one of those crab-things. Nothing too dangerous while we were out."

She nods, "Finding out who else is out there should probably be one of our top priorities at this point. I think I'll try to talk to the Director and see if she knows anything else. . ." She pauses, "Although I'll probably give her another night before I try. I don't think I'd want to try going back out there again today, even if we knew right where to go."

She shakes her head a little as Vina walks past, glad that they managed to rescue Sera, but also very conscious of Claire's nervousness about the whole situation. "Anyway, I promised River I'd have a drink with her. Want to come along?"

Lin waved goodbye to her teammates after saying "good job." walking tiredly towards her room.
When she got there, she jumped on to her bed and stayed there for a while.
She turned and faced the ceiling, taking a long breath and exhaled a few seconds later.
She took out her gun and ammo, and reloaded her almost empty gun, and placing the gun along with all the ammo on her bed stand.
And she closed her eyes.

Claire considered the offer, well aware of last night's events. A flush crept over her face as she thought, briefly, though soon enough she answered,

"Sure, a little drink though... "

Grinning, fingers coming up to hide it as she banished a nervous giggle, she turned more serious. "You two will have to tell me how you took care of those things; I could use some insider info."

Claire looked to River, and the Director's door -- outside of which the three of them were clustered. She wondered if Caitlyn would attempt to speak to the short woman before they wandered back to the lounge, or wherever it was that the two wanted to sup their sips.

Meredith acknowledges her teammates before stepping into the lobby.

"Hey! I finished my first mission here!"

She says this exuberantly, with an excess of volume; she seems to be wanting a bit of praise. As awkward as her entrance into the atrium was, she didn't seem to be embarrassed at all.

Checking over her equipment Luna sat in a corner of the inn, away from others as she brooded over the fact that she would not be able to exact her revenge until the following day.

"Soon... I will look upon your face once more... and I will my revenge for the humiliation thou hast bestowed upon me..."

Lin woke up, she checked the time, and picked up all her stuff.
She reloaded her gun and stuffed everything in her pockets, opened the doors and walked down the staires.

(Well, I'm bored, so time for some random sword swinging/practicing...)

After having finished checking over her equipment, the girl slowly rose to her feet, holstering her gun as she examined her blade, pressing a finger to it gently to test its sharpness. The result brought a smile to her face as a
a small trickle of blood ran along the blade's length.

"Good...this blade can cut well..."

A test swing at a potted plant confirmed this as the top of the foliage dropped to the ground with a clean cut.

"Very well... However, this is not enough...not enough to allow me to win against that demon..."

Closing her eyes, Luna began to pace her breathing, as she had seen other martial artists do in the past to enhance the power of their blows. She herself, had never taken a liking to such maneuvers, mainly as she cut human flesh easily enough, however against the monsters she had witnessed and the demon she had fought, she would need something more... Bringing her sword down in a vertical arc, she pictured herself splitting the remnants of the plants into two. But unexpectedly, not only was the plant itself split in two, but even the pot itself was cut cleanly in half. As she opened her eyes and beheld the results of her little "experiment", a smile came to her face.

"This might work out quite nicely...provided I can hone it."

With that, she began to go into one of her routine sword exercises from before the world was thrown into chaos, seeking to improve her skill with the blade, as bullets had proven useless in her earlier fight.

(Think of this as how Luna learns to use "essence points". Mainly filler while I wait for Iris and the rest.)

(Luna's not inspired, she can't use MetaPhysics. Even if she could, even the most basic of spells would make her collapse on the spot because her soul isn't powerful enough.)
