It seems that lifting the crate on to the pallet jack had used up all of Lin's strength...
"Ow, I think hurt something..." Lin muttered, she pulled her sidearm back out and prepared to peer back outside the door to check if it's clear.

Iris followed River as she began to push the pallet jack. Iris had noticed how difficult lifting the crate was for Lin. She wasn't the strong type, Iris figured.
All she had said in response to River asking her and Lin to keep an eye out was " Roger." As Iris got her gun ready she wondered something. Even though there were dead bodys everywhere there had been no sign of monsters or anything alive. What was the deal?

The party proceeded out into the generator room...
As they were about to head into the next hallway, a tentacle from the other north door they didn't investigate quickly shot out, wrapping around Lin's leg, and dragging her into the room it came from.

The other two quickly chase after a squealing Lin, after the pass through the hallway, they're greeted by a ghastly sight.
A giant abomination of what appears to be flesh makes up a giant egg shaped beast with four tentacles evenly placed on each end of it's body, which all hold Lin suspended in the air.
(Fear check)
Iris begins to shake with fear
River is unaffected.
(Iris is afflicted with minor fear)
"Help meeee!!!"
Lin screams.

Iris couldn't help but get a little afraid. She wasn't use to dealing with monsters. Yeah, she was raised to be tough but still, when one saw a giant egg monster for the first time... Ever they usually got afraid. However Iris wouldn't let her fear keep her from fighting! She was going to smash this egg and save Lin. Iris drew her sword out with her right hand, she gripped her 9mm handgun tighter. Looking at the beast and its four tenticals Iris tried to think of a way her and River could kill it. Iris had an idea. She could take the left flank and River could take the righ. Iris looked over at River and said
" River! I'm going to attack it at its left! You get it from its right! Understand?!"
" River! I'm going to attack it at its left! You get it from its right! Understand?!"

((Okay, couple questions: is lin being held above it, or in front of it? How tall is it about? How big are these tentacles around the base, and how long? And I'm gunna need a better description of which room this is in, all I can figure is we went through a hallway, and here we are. :/ ))

Iris fires a well placed shot into the monster as a bunch of white ooze begins to flow out of the holes.
(Enemy attacks)

If she makes it to the top, she'll hold on with her free hand while she shoots at the opening with her gun as much as she can. If she makes it onto Lin, she'll start placing the gun against the tentacles about a foot away from Lin herself, firing once to make sure she hits, and starting with the one in her mouth, then the one that has her gun hand.

Iris felt satisfaction as she made her shots. Iris thanked her dead father for teaching her how to shoot. When the monster shoved a pink tentical in Lins mouth Iris decided now was a good time to charge the beast. Iris yelled to River " River! Here take my gun! Cover me alright?!" Iris tossed her 9mm and two clips of ammo to River, hoping she catch them. Weilding her short sword in her right hand Iris charged at the beast hoping to cut a tentical or stab the egg.

River landed in a roll, spinning to her feet in time to make a catch for Iris's flying gun. She then turns to the creature again, unloading on it with her own gun, as well as with Iris' if she caught it, hopefully before it can use her other friend as a shield.

" Oww..." Iris said out as she fell to the ground. Iris kept her cool, she wasn't about to let this thing live or have its way with her. Iris, still having a tight grip on her sword, slashed the tentical holding her leg with all her might. Iris was glad she had gotten a melee weapon, she was also greatful to her dead father for teaching her how to use one.
