I keep hoping, that some day, the stupidity of man will stop surprising me.
I hope that one day we'll all wake up and realize what utter and complete idiots we can be, and then do our best to change that.
I hope that one day, people will start listening to proof, instead of blatantly pushing their baseless ideas at others.
I also hope, that one day, someone will invent a good looking and intelligent sex robot... So yeah...

Alright, I'm going off to live on my own fucking island. If there isn't one at the location I have in mind, I'LL MAKE ONE. I'm fucking sick and tired of being sick and tired of politicians making idiotic, self-centered, personal-agenda'd, so-far-left/right-it's-not-funny, history-skewing, BULLSHIT laws.
I'm serious. I'm tired of this shit. I would get into politics and do something, but because I use COMMON SENSE and have the INTEREST OF THE PEOPLE at heart, I'd never get a damned thing done, and would probably get voted out after only one term.

What is with people simply accepting the shit that comes out of Texas these days? Don't get me wrong, I know plenty of people in Texas, and generally don't have an issue with the people, but in terms of government... I mean, Jebus Chrispies, people, didn't we learn our lesson with Bush?

I would agree that we accept more than we should tolerate; basically we're so used to it at this point, that we don't care anymore. SO we just accept it and move on. And yea, I could EASILY get into politics, but it just wouldn't be worth it. It's not worth trying to accomplish something for the people when your opponents are out for personal gain. Government was better when the leaders had the people's interest at heart, not just power and greed.

The problem with that statement is that if a political figure tried to fix something (Such as raising taxes to help fix USA's economy), that person will never be elected again because the voters are, by and large, complete idiots.

And people are idiots because they've gotten too used to peace. Whatever you do, so long as you maintain even a facade of peace at home, people will eat up whatever you hand to them.
I'm not saying that something should happen, (whatever-deity-you-worship-here)-forbid, but people need to wake up and realize that what happens in other countries, and how other countries view us because of the actions of our government, WILL affect us at home.
I guarantee that 1/4 - 1/2 the people that now know that we get oil from the area and surrounding areas of the area we invaded in the name of fighting terrorism and finding WMDs, didn't know that that's where we got oil from, if they even realized we get oil from outside sources at all.
I guarantee that while everybody (okay, maybe not EVERYBODY, but most everybody) knows we're still fighting overseas, only about 1/4 of them are still following it. The rest simply said 'fuck it' after Bush got elected for that second term.

If you want to escape war politics, move to Andorra. They're just too small to get caught up in global affairs. Most Europeans don't know the country exists. They have a defence budget of zero, and no income tax either. Their biggest national concern is avalanches and deforestation, since any single bad avalanche at the wrong time can destroy a large portion of their economy and (singular) forest. Also due to a brilliant technicality, the only country in the world to have ever "fought" two world wars simultaneously, despite not having an army.

Bhutan on the other hand is the only country in the world that is completely isolationist. You can't even visit the country, unless you are invited by a citizen. Being surrounded on four sides by the himalayas makes it a difficult country to visit anyways. They don't even have relations with any country of the world, except for possibly minor ones with india.
