Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

And I think 'pud' is tobacco chew, but idon't know why...
For some reason, so do I, but the "penis" meaning makes more sense, both as joke and as insult.

Edit: I really should read the stuff I find more thoroughly. There's a reference to "Pud" being a comic strip mascot for Dubble Bubble gum. Maybe that's where the "chewing substance" idea comes from.

Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry is PPCLI for short because it's way to long of a name. Apparently much like the USA, the CF's different units have nicknames both derogatory and good. This sounds like the derogatory name for that unit.

Pud-pulling is slang for jerking off, masturbating, etc. etc. they're from western Canada hence the cowboys, don't get the learning Italian part quite yet, but I'm working on it.

EDIT: def derogatory, learning Italian refers to them being D-Day dodgers. Basically yeah I'm sorry I said it.

Ah the Picklies... what a bunch of guys. They took part in Operation Ping-Pong right before I replaced em along side the Royals.

Double post I know... but this is my last little input here for the next week or so. Had Claire run off, so until I get back hopefully she's okay.

So that's where the nick of the ping-pong champions of Lulu Island came from, why can't we get funny names for operations like that. See you when you return, once again.

EDIT: Hmm, I wonder if Sinful would kill me if I started calling her a rubber chicken. Graghhhhh.....

Ooookay... too much OOC.... I've been MIA the past couple days... and now I have no idea what's going on. And too much WALL OF TEXT for me to know what's going on. So, I'm sure you can guess what I need without me having to explicitly say it.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I'd still suggest running through the thread to get the details, but basically:

-Prince has dumped all the new Kindred (Rosary included) into River's care

-River brought you all to a warehouse on the north end of town, and explained the different clans. Tomorrow, she plans on trying to figure out which clans each are, though she didn't specify how, other than 'I'll have some fun'.

-it is now a half-hour before sunrise, everyone (minus Claire who ran out, Sin=AFK) is now in cots in the warehouse basement, getting sleepy

Why am I getting flashes of "You can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball..." to test and see who has fortitude?

*Volunteers for that task*
.. he is used to getting metal-things hit across sensitive bodyparts and would sacrifice himself to both Shrike's amusement and protection of his loyal roleplay-fellows.

I, on the other hand, play Arkham and fear no sanity loss. If you want to share with the class, go ahead.

And if there are those out there that don't want to know, in the words of our esteemed collegues "Fuck yeah! Spoiler tag it!"

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Warning, this is a question that is highly technical, and may ruin the surprise for some players if it is used as a plot device later.

Read at your own risk [storytellers, please read]

Izzy was making some headway rearranging her classes when her mouse pointer simply stopped working, the little arrow hovering near the center of the screen. After about three seconds, it slowly drew downwards and opened an empty notepad document, and words appeared in it all on it's own.

Isabella Frost.

Was typed in, the curser dropping down a line immediately after...
Does someone have that obscure Thaumaturgy, Technomancy? If so... THIS WAS EPICALLY BADASS!!

If not, WTF, mate?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

hehe, now, that's for me to know, and you to find out ;)

that being said, the game this was based off had someone who was trying to learn that, but was having quite a bit of trouble, as he wasn't Tremere. That isn't him, though ;)

Technical follow up. Warning- read at your own risk.
Seriously, GMs only. Do not read if you arent a GM.
No, not Cooper either. Just Shrike. Probably should have PMed you.
So, how about those spoiler tags? Nifty, huh?
OK, if you were expecting a question, you were wrong. I like how this game looks, so far. I cant wait to join in!

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

For the record, it's Copper, not Cooper and since you told "Cooper" not to read, I went ahead and did it anyway *grins* (Never argue semantics with an English major.)

Secondly, I though about making a crack about asking River whether or not she'd be hanging upside down from the pipes by her knees, but I think the Twilight insult earlier on was bad enough. No need to bring in other cheesy vampire stuff (even if Keifer is twice the vampire Edward is.)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Well, seeing as Edward isn't a vampire, pretty much anyone is an infinite times more than him, thanks to the wonders of math ;)

See, I'm bad at math but fairly deft in internets. So I know the only response to that is
OH SHI-
