So... watch tv? (Been meaning to post this ever since I made the law/order thread)

Re: TV or not TV

Well, I watch Burn Notice and House, but I watch it on Apple soooooo... Not sure if it really counts. And I watch how it's made with my brother... He's six, and it's his fav show^^

I'm turning him into such a nerd lol.

Re: TV or not TV

TV? Oh, right, that thing.

...Why would you watch that if you have the internet?

Re: TV or not TV

Because the internet can't seemlessly lure you from watching an action movie to home decoration. 'Cause one day the TV watcher will wake up a fat illiterate with posters of Martha Stewart on the walls. Because when you're tired, the internet frequently requires you to think, whilst the TV just tells you to:
Eat, sleep, get Liposuction, Repeat.

Re: TV or not TV

The only channel I really watch is Comedy Central, and thats only when I'm the only person in the house.

Re: TV or not TV

i watch tv sometimes when i get bored of the internet but i mostly do both at the same time.

Re: TV or not TV

The only TV I watch is certain series... and even then I buy them on DVD and watch them that way. So does that count? I don't think it does (especially HBO series like Rome, and Band of Brothers, and Carnivale... or Battlestar Galactica (which isn't actually HBO, its Sci-Fi channel).

So no.

I don't even have cable or anything.

Re: TV or not TV

All I watch is Glee and discontinued sitcoms.

Re: TV or not TV

right now im watching star treck (yea i know its nerdy)

Re: TV or not TV

Only watch House every now and then.
But my TV is pretty messed up and broke anyway.

Re: TV or not TV

Mostly when I watch TV it's movies and such. I do enjoy Burn Notice, and have taken a shine to Warehouse 13. Also, every so often, NCIS. That's about it though.

Re: TV or not TV

Mythbusters. Fuck yeah!

Now if only dad could go to bed so I can see the new episode --;

Re: TV or not TV

Woo, Mythbusters!

Unfortunately, I haven't had cable for over three years, so I'm just a little behind :/

I do buy every season of Heroes, though :D

Re: TV or not TV

Heh, I watched Heroes for a while, I've watched season 1-3, but I got a little tired of it... I mean, the cool part in the beginning was following Peter as he slowly gained powers and knowledge... Now it's just, I dunno. Not the same somehow.

I completely LOVE burn notice though.

Re: TV or not TV

Agreed, though I watch it for Sylar. Season one is the best, Season two had an excuse (Writer's strike), and I'm just starting with season three, it'll be nearly a year before i get to watch the season starting on tv soon though :/

Re: TV or not TV

Well, there's two episodes of simpsons every day that I often watch, and House, and s'more Simpsons before that, and Heroes and Stargate Atlantis and NCIS and Criminal Minds/The Mentalist. So I'm watching quite a bit of TV, actually. Mostly because my mother wants the computer for two hours a day, and that has to be filled somehow.

Re: TV or not TV

my girlfriend has this thing where she can't watch violent shows; she used to love law and order and all that like I do, now she watches john and kate plus eight -_-
I bring this up because mythbusters is one of the shows she likes to watch, and it's something we can agree on, because mythbusters is completely ridicuawesome. I love when they take myths based on movies (I think they did an Indiana Jones series).

Is Heroes any good? I mean I haven't watched it because the premise sounds completely stupid, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong about by judging the book by its cover. Then again it wouldn't be the first time I was right either (cough cough Lost cough)

I've seen fringe, although the only reason I keep it on is because of the old scientist's antics. the only things I'll actually turn the tv on for is house and law and order. if none of those are on I'll watch ncis.

Re: TV or not TV

I rarely watch TV anymore. Lol Too lazy to keep up with the times.

Oh right, forgot Fringe. It's not on at the time, they're probably working on the next season or whatnot. Walter's antics are indeed pretty interesting and make up about half the appeal of that show.
