I don't mind cameos and scenes of interaction, but I don't want it to get in the way of either character's storyline and character development. When PCs meet, the important NPCs tend to lose ground.

It's card game similar to Pokemon where you have sexy magical girls fight each other. But instead of simply, going to the first of victories, the combat cards are their to protect their leader card. The combat cards interact with the opponent's, while the leader card interacts with the combat card on its side.
In this case, the combat line would be a pack of Mamono trying to keep hold of their male from a rival pack. While the leader card may have a male on it, that doesn't necessarily mean he's their leader, but that's a flavour stand point.
The main focus is Mamono vs, Mamono combat, and it is run similar to Magic the Gathering system where a group attacks another in an attempt to overwhelm the other side. Combat cards have a power and toughness value, which are compared to an opposing cards to figure out what happens in combat. A combat card isn't removed from play unless it's toughness is over come by an opposing card's power. Leader cards simply have a toughness value.
An important feature of the game is attaching equipment cards to combat cards. You can put armor card on the combat cards to give them extra staying power, or give them a tool card to give them a different power or ability. There's also a number of ways to remove equipment cards. One can imagine that the sexy girls come onto the field almost dressed, fight, get stripped down and knocked out. The goal of the game is strip down and rape the leader card (likely a hunky vulnerable man), which can only be done when enough of his protectors are out of the way.
