Despite that spider dislike thing, I welcome Taokaka's teacher/friend/whatever to these here forums. Don't mind me, I'm some guy who's played Blazblue and comes here quite a lot, mostly to post in PBP games.

The weird thing about me is that I like big spiders. Tarantulas are fine by me, as well as Orb Weavers. I think they are magnificent arachnids :)

It's a pretty cool electric type, and as a spider it's better than Spinarak and Ariados. Though I guess their design is supposed to make them look more intimidating (by Pokemon standards at least) than Joltik/Galvantula.

Not a recent one, no. There was one I started back about a year ago for team building but that doesnt fit the bill of general discussion and it would be thread necro'ing. Which I don't condone.

Welcome to the forum and I agree, I've hated balut since my one roommate gave me one to try while we were stationed in Korea together.
