Synthia didn't know what else to say. This entire campaign against the monsters had gone by so quickly. This upcoming boss fight was building up to be a turning point of sorts. She was worried that the game was foreshadowing her losing Gerald. She hoped that if such were the case, that it would only be for a short while. She would be very mad if the game dared to take Gerald from her permanently.

The party waits for Max to cast his flight spells, lifting off once again and flying for the distant mountain ranges. They make good time, the day passing quickly, daylight fading as the mountain comes into range.

Max points them down, having them land in the cover of the forest a little bit of distance away, unsure of what defenses the location may have.

Synthia got a glimpse of the fortress from afar. Max seemed to be surprised there was an actual fortress built into the mountain, perhaps it was an old dwarven fortress of lore. Synthia wasn't quite sure on how she knew there were dwarves, but she was quite sure that dwarves existed in this world.

Max rubbed his chin. "It is likely, no matter what choice we make, that the enemy would plan for us. He would lay traps. Thus...I feel we should just take it head on. There is little one can do about the enemies plans when we don't know them. We'll just take what challenges lie ahead, head on."
