Taking her few possessions, most of which were the trophies gained from her previous hunts, Shadowcat moved unhindered through Artmirst for almost half an hour as she made her way toward the finer district of the decrepit place. It was closer to the mansion where she'd left her present for its inhabitants, but she didn't yet go near that place again, and as she made her way down a row of houses, the Su-Ku-Ta huntress stopped dead in her tracks as two massive beasts suddenly jumped out of hiding less than twenty feet away from her.

They looked more or less like massive dogs, their muzzles dripping slobber as they growled at her. They were almost as tall as she was, and their crimson skin glistened slightly in the half-light of the fading day. Even as she watched, however, both of the beasts were suddenly covered in chitinous black armor that covered their entire bodies, including, she noticed, the unnaturally large members that were dangling between their legs. The hellhounds had obviously been waiting for something to pass by their place of hiding, and Shadowcat was out in the open, where the canine demons could easily outrun her. Around her were ruined shops, none taller than a story high, but the two on either side of her might offer a bit more defensive options than the open street, in which she would likely be surrounded. If she could get to them, of course.

Shadowcat hurled herself to the side, running as fast she could. The hellhounds were on her instantly, their legs having already been poised to spring toward her. She proved quick enough to reach the ironworks shop on her right, however, and spun around just as one of the slobbering bestial demons was leaping toward her. She tried to avoid it, but the thing caught her arm in its jaws, and tore her arm on its teeth as she pulled away, just barely avoiding being grabbed. The other beast couldn't fit in the narrow entrance of the shop, not with its comrade blocking the way, so it would at least be one on one between her and the demon.

*hissing angrily at the bite she dropped anything she carried and lashed out a shot in return with her claws at the beasts head. she wasone on one with it making it more to her advantage but the ability to manuever would be diminished for both her and the hound. While fighting she began to watch for it to lunge again if it leapt at her in a manner more then just a simple bite she would be ready having a plan in store.*

Shadowcat's claws raked across the beast's face, long bloody slash marks appearing above its eyes and forcing it to close them lest she tear them out. It growled in pain, the sound reverberating around the small space. Shadowcat could see the other hellhound pacing outside, blocking the only entrance she knew of to get out of this shop.

Momentarily blinded, the hellhound howled and suddenly lunged forward, its jaws wide. Rather than bite her, however, it suddenly jumped up, and bowled Shadowcat over and buried her under its bulk. Trapped beneath the beast and the floor, and with its legs surrounding her, Shadowcat was face to face with her attacker. The beasts slobber coated her face as it growled threateningly, and tentacles suddenly burst from its abdomen to wrap around her legs and waist.

As Shadowcat made for the hellhound's throat, tentacles suddenly reached up and trapped her arms to her sides. More of the beast's appendages wrapped around hr body, and Shadowcat was suddenly flipped over onto her belly, and her clothing was pulled from her body, leaving her naked beneath the growling, slobbering demon. The other creature howled as it looked on, and she felt something pressing against her nether lips as a particularly large glob of slobber dropped onto the back of her neck.

She would then slash her claws wide back to the left to rake across the hounds head before shifting back and to the left with the swing.*

Shadowcat's claws ripped from right to left across the demon's face once more, but the creature shrugged off the strike and ripped at her with its fangs. Her flesh was torn once more, and she began to feel weaker as her injuries took their toll on her body. The hellhound's face was covered in blood, however, and it didn't look to be doing too well either. The other beast continued pacing outside, unable to get past its comrade but also not budging from the entrance. She would have to fight it as well if she wanted to get out of here, unless she could take the few seconds she would have following her first opponents demise to find another way out. fleeing would also leave her clothing on the floor, however, which might not be a good idea in the ruined village.

*hissing at the beast angrily she was getting annoyed now with this beast and remaining on the defensive she tried to score a deciding shot handing darting in straight and low under the dogs head and then claws raking up to try and hook her claws into the flesh of its neck and open its throat up before dropping back to avoid a counter bite*

Shadowcat finally caught a break as her claws found the soft flesh of its throat as the hellhound tried to tackle her to the floor again. A glance toward the door revealed that the other hellhound was already charging, however, and now it was covered in black, spiny armor that had appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

She jumped up and reached for a support beam that ran along the ceiling of the shop, but the demonic beast hurled itself at her as she was still in the air, moving faster than she could have thought possible. It slammed into her, and its momentum carried both of them deeper into the shop as black tendrils wrapped once more around her arms and legs.
