Both are equally likely to cause some problem down the road. The question is, deal with it now or later. I vote now. 1.
Edit/Vote Change: Wait a second. We just ate a strange fruit that made us feel energetic and full, that was given to us by a tentacle monster, and tasted utterly incredible. That stream has a pretty high chance of being a mirage caused by the fruit to get us to cooperate and there's a giant pit of tentacles in there. Turn around, walk away, find something less suspiciously fantastic. 2.
