Inside the chest is a scroll, some jewelry, a gauntlet and a large orb covered with silk cloth. When Shirako opens it, Mary comes to take a closer look. "Well, that's the treasure I heard about, I suppose. Not bad. Equal shares."

Shirako nods. "Fair deal. Though I am only interested in what is under this silk cloth. I need tissue samples of it. So apparently, it has some sort of DNA evidence behind it."

"Uh...Body spheres are a lot bigger than that, Shirako." Mary says before pulling the cloth off and revealing a large crystal under it. The crystal is clear and has a weird feel to it, like it were magical.

Shirako wants to keep it, but then comes to her senses. "Maybe. Y-yeah...." She closes her mouth to gulp a bit, then wraps the crystal back up, closing the chest. "We should... hn, we should just.... sell the chest itself. With these riches in it."

Shirako can still feel the crystal's influence through the closed lid, although slightly weakened. Mary's hand starts wandering towards her crotch, though as soon as she notices she grips her sword instead. "Maybe we should smash it."

Shirako blushes a bit. "Crystals are powerful.... but you have a point. I can still feel its influence....." She takes the orb out and sets it on the ground. She then focuses her magic.

As soon as Shirako lets go of the crystal, Mary draws her sword and strikes it, but the blow is deflected from the hard crystal without doing much damage, though small fractures appear on spot where the blade hit it.

Shirako unleashes her magic attack, hoping her shot hurts the crystal. "Ghnn.... I am hoping that the crystal's powers don't overcome us..."

Mary's blow finally shatters it into small pieces that gradually lose their glow. Though the crystal is gone, it's effects remain heavily on Shirako and on Mary as well, from the way she avoids looking at her.

Shirako looks to Mary, panting. "Hnnnn..... Will you be okay?" She gulps a bit, noticing Mary fighting back thr urge to just tackle her. "The crystal is broken, then... We should study more of this. The signs on this Sarcophagus mean something, but I don't know what...."
