Well, I'm patient enough to wait for its completion. Overall, I think that would be the best decision. I'm sure others will argue that, though.

This is fantastic news, by the way! You are definitely my favourite person on ULMF (probably my favourite person across many different similar communities, even).
Yeah, 'm kinda leading towards the full option myself to be fair, the only problem with that is I DO have exams in like a month, ah well :L

I suggest you make a plan for yourself and stick with it. As long as ure satisfied with translation and the pace its going we're all too ( must of us are ). Also i would love to have full translation rather then incremental. If you could pull out all the lines i guess you could collaborate with other ppl via google docs if ure not up for translating alone. I'm sure you could find few other ppl that understand both languages and wouldnt mind translating a line here and there each day.

Nrrrrrrng, I'm REALLY reluctant to announce this buuuuuuuuut seeing as the current translation is going nowhere fast (No offence, I just know people really want this) I'm going to make a stab at doing it once I finish Parallel Fantasy (and release Version 2 of Saki Quest which should be tonight or tomorrow).
I wish I could offer my sister in tribute of your efforts in translating all these awesome games!

Not a bad idea, unfortunately the copy paste in VX is actually more effort than just writing it :L

Haha, I don't think she'd agree to that :p To be fair, I just like translating :L

Patience is the best option, most of the people who wanted to play the game will have done so already (me included.)

Big thanks for doing this, PF and PF0 and AD, I really liked VI because it reminded me of PF0 but with much more content.

Funny, I actually didn't like PF0 or VI very much ( LOVE the art in VI I just think the game itself can get VERY confusing at times) but I'm LOVING AD

Hmm,as far as Virgin island is concerned it's art quality was top notch,but for me it failed in regard as to how the scenes were written...they lacked the "edge" somehow(as i might have mentioned before for me it's more important how the scenes are written rather than how good the CG's are)...Therefore for me Virgin island was and always will be just a slightly above average game no matter how good it's art is(this is just my opinion about the game)...

Now PF0 was a mixed bag when it came to how the scenes were written...Some scenes were written very good,and some were just bland and "vanilla"...But other than that the game wasn't really even finished as it should have been and was left in a terrible shape...

Must be a pirate thing for me, one of the main reasons I started getting into hentai was Crimson Comics and their depiction of Nami from one piece (that I'd never watched) And well Yuffy = basically Luffy and Nami combined :D

I always liked that but felt that PF0 was just...unfinished, he had the scenes and stuff but it just felt like it was jumping from one to the next...no real flow to it if that makes sense, now Arms Devicer, THAT'S fast becoming one of my favorites, competing with Saki Quest actually, though I think the battle rape system in SQ is still the best around.

where is the text stored?

How do you replace text and change it to English rather then just have it translated(temp not perm)

what programs and or sites are commonly used?

how much knowledge of the Japanese text is needed?

why when you open many text documents from these types of games(ones made in Japanese text) are either squares or random letters symbols and numbers?

I dont care much about text in hentai scenes ... its mostly ughthh ahghgha and shit... but what i do care about is gameplay and VI delivered there 100%. I just love the hard farming when ure playing virgin run. I dont know exactly why but its probably coz i used to play final fantasy 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 , Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger and so on and i kinda got used to idea of farming to get something in return :)

Also in VI you could do all kind of shit and there were alot of scenes to find and explore. I only wish the game had different outfits but i guess it was to hard for author to implement.

Its kinda like bicycle we got here in my country. In my opinion Shimano breaks and shimano speeds ( probably not the right word for it... its the thing on bike where you change difficulty for driving ) are best. Here where i live you wont find a single bike that has both shimano breaks and speeds. Its either one of the two but never both.
And its the same in games. If you have outfits to change then gameplay suffers and vice versa. So far i never played RPG maker game that had everything i wanted in it. It was always lacking in one way or another. I just wish for once one of those ppl that make those games think for a moment and try to deliver a whole package.

I know some ppl dont like farming so why not implement a question before game starts that lets you choose ( easy - hard ). I dont think something like that would be hard to implement and the size of the game wouldnt change much.

EDIT: another thing i didnt like about VI is that you could only do night stuff in first town. VI was good but it still has alot you could add and change to make it even better but sadly i dont see that happening :(

There is a way to crack the RGSSA files, so far you can easily crack RPGMAKER XP, VX and Ace Games.

If you cracked them succesfully, just open them with the RPG Maker.

Well.. once you opened the cracked files with the Maker, you can freely see every Event and every bit of text. Just modify them the way you want.

So far, I never thought about translating a Game until everything is in english.
Until now, I only translated the names and Descriptions of the Skills, Items and Menu. It doesnt take much effort, in my opinion. It's just a massive Copy + Paste.

English is not my native language, so my translation skills are somewhat dull.
That's the Main Reason why I'm not releasing my "menu"translated games.

Yes loved AD also. Art , all kind of scenes. Tho i didnt like that you have tons of money. I hate that christmas guy in corner at night that gives you unlimited amounts of money. Giving tons of money for nothing is just game breaking for me.

I found him useful on my later playthroughs, I'd often forget to reset my lust so the money from him makes it easy to buy the -150 lust reducer

I hope that you're doing it only for roleplay purposes (or you don't want to see Rio in a constant rut), because in Arms Devicer you won't skip or miss any event by having too high lust, but too low often hurts.

As for Virgin Island - great news that you're willing to translate it. You're my hero :)

I have a request that kinda makes me a bit of a hypocrite, considering some of my posts in translation projects before. Would it be possible for you to re-add and/or fix the card mini-game that was removed from later versions because of a bug that wouldn't remove the image from the screen after a loss? I only ask because it was already in the game at one point, and I'm a sucker for stripping mini-games.

Well, I can't make any promises cause scripting and event creating isn't really my thing...but to be fair, it SHOULD be easy to do.

Yeah I was, wanted to see if I could play it without getting the lust too high, was pretty easy.

No bother, still havent started it yet because I'm finishing off PF but once that's done I'll get working on it

Well, I'll be happy with just the translation in any case. Though, I never actually updated my game past 1.03, which was the last version with the card mini-game.
