Re: The Fairy, the Succubus, and the Abyss. V1B11P2 (Updated May 29th, 2015)

I haven't played those. Aside from VH the majority of RPGs that I've played are the mainstream, non-hentai stuff-
Non-Hentai Games:
-like Final Fantasy (aside from 13, which I had a LOT of difficulty with), Breath of Fire IV, and a few others who's names escape me at the moment. Oh, and on the PC would be Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale, Fallout 1, 2, etc..

If you want a recommendation of something you might not have heard of, there's Entomorph. I absolutely loved that game and played through it several times. It's more like a Zelda game than an RPG though.

And speaking of Zelda games, I do love that style of gameplay, along with the metroidvania games. I wish there were more games like that but the indy games that are like that are usually fairly short short cash grabs.

The first hentai games I played were the simple flash games, so that's the majority of my hentai gaming experience.
Flash games:
I like Zone's work, though I wish the games were more interactive. My favorite flash games are the ones where you have maximum control.
If she was a bit more petite with smaller breasts I'm not sure I could quit playing this:

My favorite aspects of that one are the degree of facial emotions (you can hold X to see the later ones that happen after a lot of sex), the amount of pecker control, and how the game seems to keep track of how much semen is inside her.

I will probably keep those in until the final release. Of course there's the possibility of leaving them in while asking for a heavy trade-off (like an NPC that will give resources, gold, etc.. in exchange for sex, permanent stat loss, etc..).

Edit: Sorry, I checked your post and again and looked up those games and noticed you mentioned platformers.
I already mentioned Kurovadis. It's an English, hentai platformer and the only one I've played that I can actually recommend.
I've played a few others but they held little interest as I usually just play through, get to the end, and quickly lose all interest after seeing all the sex animations.
I would have probably played through Kurovadis several times if not for the protagonist's large boobs.
The creator of that game is working on another game now but I doubt purchasing it as it is missing the leveling system, seems excessively difficult, and the protagonist is even less attractive (IMO).
Not that there's anything wrong with buxom babes. It's just not my personal preference. :p

They're not hentai, but I would also highly recommend the Shantae series. Her boobs aren't my favorite size, but I still find Shantae to be adorable.
I wish they had kept her original breast size in the newer games. Oh well...

Maybe someday they'll have the original versions on Steam as well.
Yeah i have Kurodavis i should probably finish it.

Few questions again:
Need tips for the Skeleton boss fight.I light all torches. A boulder falls and then i die. Thats all. Make that x20 times.

Do you think you could add an easy "mode" for the more dificult bosses? Like you choose it before you start the boss fight.

What happens when a child in party dies? Do you loose it forever or just is K.O ?
I also have this wierd feeling about Nadie... I noticed her class is Death Fairy. She is the daughter of the spider... I have the feeling she will betray me in the future or something.

I posted this to someone else a few pages back, I'll just copy/paste:
Well he doesn't like red torches.
When you're turning the torches it's a good idea to lure him into jumping first. It can be frustrating but after you figure it out, it's basically a memory/endurance test.

Do you think you could add an easy "mode" for the more dificult bosses? Like you choose it before you start the boss fight.
Possibly. Not sure if I'll do that anytime soon though.
What happens when a child in party dies? Do you loose it forever or just is K.O ?
They leave for the rest of the day. Well at least that's what I want to implement for all party members, aside from Sienna of course. This way you'll have to go back and use different party members if your favorites get KO'ed. It also forces you to think about whether you want to tell them to scavenge or save them for backup.
I also have this wierd feeling about Nadie... I noticed her class is Death Fairy. She is the daughter of the spider... I have the feeling she will betray me in the future or something.
That's intentional, but whether the feeling is warranted or not.. not telling. :p

I read the exact same tip for the skeleton. I understand what to to but what is the point of the boulder. It just fall and breaks.

What i did numerous times was light all torches. Boss goes to middle big one. Extinguish it and the other torcher, the boulder appears and falls, and breaks. Thats all. Do i have to assume i have to repeat the process more times?

I thought having the boulder fall was a good hint that you did something right.
Plus, he changes all the lights back to their original color.
I know it can seem a little repetitive but you just need to repeat the process about 4 more times.
I guess this is one of those instances where a boss life meter would come in handy.

4 TIMES?! Please tell me the boss is optional. I barely manage to do it once...
I attached my save file. It is saved right before the skeleton boss if you manage to defeat it, loot what drops at save back at home since im outta ink. Thank you. Ill be trying myself again but seeing how it goes right now i doubt i can do it.

In total I needed 22 tries to finally beat this boss.
At the 16th ran I got the tip a few pages back and after that it was just a constant repeating till it finally ended.
My main problem was to find the right timing on when to switch the last flame to red, so that he resets them all.
[Watch him idling at the middle blue big torch, when you have figured out, when he will do this move you have won (At least I won so x) )]
(When you have figured out the ideal move patter (E or reverse E ; for turning the last torch) its just a question of time till you finish him)

I might add temp cheats for a few of the bosses that players are having difficulty with. Namely the skeleton, bat, and obsidian boulder bosses.

I still cant do it ... best so far i did was light all once and then i always manage to die. I give up on this boss. I still have hopes for someone who can clear the boss for me. I hope its optional because i cant find my way on the 2nd or 3rd floor to progress further into the crypt which makes me think that the skeleton aint optional... Is there a way to use cheat engine to boost the walking speed? That might help me a bit.

It's not optional, but you can go a bit further. On level 3 there is a small crack in the wall at the top right, next to a skull on the floor.

It's extremely obscure, so I should probably provide a better visual cue.

Edit: By the way if anyone's wondering, I'm currently trying to find out how to fix the crashes that happen (randomly) after battles.
Apparently they're happening due to sprites of player characters not being properly disposed of after the battle.

Do you perhaps happen know the speed value for the game in cheat engine? I really cant do the boss lol. Maybe reducing the amount of times needed to light all torches to 2 would make the fight easier.

Possibly Simplest Solution:
If you can give yourself armor items the hammer is armor item #006. Then you don't have to do the fight at all.
More Complicated Solution:
Sorry but I don't know it as the speed value isn't a variable.
I'm not sure if it would help as I've never u sed the cheat engine, but...
The variable for the lights is #157. If you could pause the game and
set that variable to 14 it would trigger the boss jumping.

Variable #158 controls the boss' life. So if you set it to 1 before the fight and the first time he jumps it will pop the item. If you could then pause and set it to 4 and set #157 to 13 the next torch you light should end the fight.

Edit: Still no solution for the crashing problem. Currently working on stuff I can work on. All of Sienna's children should be back in the game for the next update. Just needs testing now.
Also need to add the 5 year event, that will happen (hopefully automatically) after all 6 children are born.

My god it did it the legit way.. jesus christ. My heartbeat must have been abnormaly high...

This boss could rival one of Dark Souls's bosses.

Is there way to raise Nadie's HP and defense ? She takes twice the damage i do.

Also is the crypt unfinished? I cant find the way to the next floor after the floor with the blue knight boss fight.

I've recently started playing Demon's Souls. I got bored because of the item farming required to level up my equipment. xP

Life Potions give a permanent +1 HP to whoever you feed them to.
I do need to implement the children's outfit upgrades. This will help their stats and staying power a lot.

Remember the piano he was playing?
Hint 1:
There's another musical item in the game.
Hint 2:
Did you find all 10 pieces?
Hint 3:
It needs repairing. Did anyone seem interested?
Hint 4:
A jeweler perhaps?
Hint 5:
Take all 10 pieces to the jeweler.
Hint 6:
Equip the Music Box in your left hand, use the piano.

Maybe I should have the event happen even if it's not equipped.

I dunno... well I guess that's something to keep in mind for an easy mode. xD

I'll probably, eventually, allow players to pick normal or easy/guided modes from the first. Where easy/guided will have easier boss fights, important areas will be all sparkly, etc..

This might be a bit of a stupid question but is it safe to break every pot and cut every wooden chest i see? I wont miss a quest item or anything right?

Annoying but at the tree boss in the vinery. After the spikes go completely down they just pop again for a split second on the same spot enough to throw me off balance and die instantly. Its really annoying.

That's what they're there for. If you can harvest something from it, then smash away. :)

I know, it's weird. I'll try and fix that better in some future update.
All my spike traps do that.
Probably because I was inept when I made them. xD

Doesnt render the boss impossible. But instead before you decide you move i had to let the spikes start to appear under me before to move.

Right now im at the green haired jumpy dude.... you push him into the fish and then the Sonic of fishes moves soo fast. Trying to figure out the blind spots.. if there are any after he dives after the first 3 initial shots. I wouldnt fail this much if the fish didnt 1 shot me. Took me a while that i had to push him i almost tought that i had to remember all of the jumps he made... unless you actuallly had a failsafe if someone actually remembered it lol.

Your bosses can rival the Souls series's bosses lol.

Also there is that red error message on the fairy icon during conversation. It told me to report so I did.

The dialogue is slightly different, but he's a jerk so he kills you even if you start to get it right.

At least you don't lose all the exp you've gathered in the last 2+ hours.

Yeah I need to update The Vinery quite a bit. There's other bosses with old Sienna portraits there too.

Another problem is The Vinery just isn't as interesting as The Dungeon. Needs more secret/extra areas I guess.

It has been ages sinec i had to use pen and paper for a boss lol. I had to make a grid copy of the boss room and then write with pen the blind spots of the boss's shots lol.

There is a bug at the Vinery. The light locks cannnot be used to teleport once you do it. For example from floor one you teleport to floor 4. Then from floor 4 you cant teleport at all. You select floor and it doesnt work.

Also im at lvl 10 in Crypts. I am missing 2 keys for the last 2 doors. Also i cant find my way on floor 9 (assuming where the other 2 keys are) and you cant return back to floor 8 from 9 because there is no door where you spawn at 9.
