Re: Magica

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I go about patching it into the game. I've never actually used RPGMaker besides playing games on it.

Re: Magica

1. You get this
2. Run it and select Game.rgss3a
3. Tools -> Extract all files
4. Get the folder(s) is created in its Extract folder
5. Paste it where the game is and remove the .rgss3a file
6. Paste the translation there and overwrite everything.

Not trying to be rude, but I really don't understand what you're supposed to do

The rgssa3 file is like a big password-protected ZIP file that RPG Maker games use to store all the game information.

It gives priority to the rgssa3 file, so placing the translation in the data folder wouldn't work (the game'd skip right through them and go for the rgssa3 file instead).

So you need to decrypt (extract) the rgssa3 file and then delete it. Making it so the game will be forced to look into the data folder and not into the rgssa3 file. And then you replace the files in the data folder by the ones in the translation archive.

So:

1. Extract RGSSA3 file to the game's folder
2. Delete RGSSA3 file
3. Extract translation to the game's folder
4. Have fun

Just make sure the folders are correctly placed. You need to have all the "Data" folders at the game's root.

yeah, basically think of RGSSA3 as a zip, extract it with the extractor mentioned above to get the data folder, then copy the translation into the data folder (default location for extraction is within the extractor-tool folder itself) then copy that (the whole folder that you just copied the translation into) into the game folder, then delete the rgssa3

Please visit RPG Game Maker Collection for the latest official released version of the Magica and Sacred Eyes Translation by VCT if you want the latest release. Also be sure to thank VCT and Starke for giving permission to release it officially here in my thread.

Re: Magica

Okay I'm lost.

I just beat the guy at the water temple and was directed to go find Bridget/Burizitto.

She's not in her shop. Is she behind the locked door?

Anybody know where I'm supposed to go from here and how I'm supposed to find Bridget to talk to her?
