I thought retry and fresh retry means what level of the floors that you wanna go back to, either
- start from floor 1 for easier follow-up (you lose gold and unequipped item, so you don't wanna mess around high level floors upon re-spawn), or
- current floor to save all those time travelling all the way back to your last floor (some elite players digs 100++ floors, even at the cost of their lost items?).
Oh, and Yukihiro, you still wanna try the glitch? I see what I can do, good thing I'm only at 30++ BoE right now.

Pretty sure Retry is get dumped somewhere randomly naked and hope you get a weapon or an exit before the monsters come a gangbanging.
And Fresh Restart is start from Roland's room either with current sex values or wipe them.

- CHEAT MONEY with them, this is the first trigger. You will see pareo available, but Mermaid-shell doesn't work to actual full extent yet, so no inscription and no essences.
- Then repair or upgrade At Least the Cat-suit, this the second trigger. By this, you will have the Mermaid-shell carrying over its full wears extent (including inscription and essences, but without pareo-and-short gain or bonuses).
Side note.
- Celestial ink was not required, unless you wanna change the inscription. Using one will also not disabled the glitch.
- upon changing field, the Roland picture will glitch wearing a skirt.
- You gain excess to 2 Cat-suit essences and 2 Mermaid-shell essences, as well as 2 body (or any) inscription. But you will also lose essences gain, item gain, and protection from skirt and short (Plus Pareo).
- One success strip from enemy and you'd go nude. One knocked-down/bind/paralyse and you're a goner.

Oh and the roland picture glitch is normal, even if your skirt or under get disarmed, after some times the picture will go back to normal like nothing happen (of course, in reality you're still going commando)

Oh and the roland picture glitch is normal, even if your skirt or under get disarmed, after some times the picture will go back to normal like nothing happen (of course, in reality you're still going commando)

I'll bet the "trick" being discussed only works with the English interface since the "money trick" doesn't apply to the Japanese interface.

I may have understood the term English version and Japanese version wrongly, but if its the change in the language_english.rvdata2, then both works for the money thingy and the doubling thingy. I just tried.

I can't reproduce the glitch on my copy, so it's specific to one copy of the game or I'm doing something wrong.
Either way it's a glitch. Players are free to do what they want with the game, but if it's not something that can be freely reproduced then it's hard to argue it's a "trick" that everyone can use.

But how come you can't reproduce it? Getting any One of the multiple-parts-equipment disarmed and storing the disarmed-parts to the chest will reproduce that items. I'm using the April 2015 patch (should be, I guess).
P.S.: If only the Mermaid-shell will turn to actual wears without disarming the Cat-suit, I could loop the glitch for infinite wears. But, Noo~o! The system doesn't let me do that way.

I've had one occasion happen in the past but the duped item was so glitchy and affected gameplay in a negative manner that I had to sell the dupe. If your "trick" relies on duped items to get a stat boost then being sarcastic with your reply doesn't change the fact it's a glitch.
I might be reading it wrong, but if you say "disarmed" does that mean part of the equipment is destroyed when it's placed in the storage chest? Somehow I get the feeling I've read about this problem before but thought it had been fixed previously. The disarmed is any form of stripping attack caused by the enemy (Gremlin, Phantom, Automaton, Belle are fond to stripping attacks).
You could go the long road of deteriorate your equipment durability, then repair one part that you wanna keep until the other destroyed, then repair back without wearing it after repair.
Then storing the disarmed part to the chest (to get copy), take the copy back, and sell only the Copy item will grant Cheat Money glitch. Do this without taking off your actual equipped items.
- There was only one time I get a bug where my epicedium/burial get turned into scroll of punishment. Hitting the enemy using a scroll, 1 dmg, worthless.
- Never Use the copy item.
- I still don't know what you meant by stat boost duped. If you meant using Celestial ink on other item with the copy to upgrade, then that's a landmine for sure. You know a copy have a programming inferiority when you press Z on it. One option missing. That's were the programming will start to crumble if you continue recklessly with the copy.

No wonder it sounded familiar, but using this "trick" to get money is a waste of time compared to actually going out into the field to kill things and get loot. I've seen it before but it screws up the game very badly when the duped items are created, that's why you get your special trick with two outfits worn on top which would not be possible in normal circumstances.
If your playstyle sees a lot of clothes stripping while out in the field, then by all means. I much prefer killing everything before I get surrounded or using the quick-swap function to fix the stripped clothes without losing a turn.

This glitch itself was a bargain, so it can thought of as one way to play the game, the harder way, or some might call stupid-courage.

Although I hear repairs can be a pain in Daimayko / hard mode, which I don't play due to my inability to get gud and stay gud.
