should I feed one of my gold male samurais to a platinum unit or has the gold male unit exp ended already? I ask because I have 2 of them and dont know if I should cost reduce him or actually use him at some point since most of my block 3 units suck the sapphire princess has only 1 block for some reason when I thought she had 3 and Chizuru has pathetic defense.

I did earn some block 2 units from this event though Im not sure if I got the platinum monk I can't remember for some reason

just to let you know, the male 2xs exp event starts after today's maint
if i remember correctly, samurais arn't too useful to be used for their blocking, but main thing would be for mob clearing after you AW them so they can hit all their enemies at once

awakened samurais can attack 3 targets at once like splash dmg?

The Gold Samurai Kojuurou disappointed me from my past experience trying to use him when he had a 1.5x attack bonus during Odette's original event. He's perfectly good food for the Gold Heavy Armour Berenice or the Platinum Heavy Armour Jelius, since these two share the same skills that Kojuurou has pre/post CC.

Samurai are the kinds of units that are unimpressive until you awaken them, and I'm unsure if Kojuurou's ability will help your other gold samurai all that much since their base defence are so low (5-10 more defence just doesn't seem worth it to keep him around solely for that). It's up to you if you want to try using him after he's awakened. He's less dependent on luck than the platinum Samurai Akane or Chizuru, but I personally feel that you're better off feeding him to someone like a Battle Master Berenice, and then either work on Chizuru, or save up for Akane or Momiji if they bring them back in the future.

Chizuru's skill lets her evade both physical and magical ranged damage, so she's a good lightning rod for liches (just make sure she's the target for aoe damage, since she can't evade it if someone else is being targeted by it).

EDIT:
Samurai attack the 3 units they're blocking after they're awakened. It's not considered splash damage.

The 2x gold+ male synthesis bonus is going to start today between 10:00~15:00, and end on the 8th.

just a noob question the maintenance usually last up to what time? last night I tried using another account to play and It went in with out a hitch but when I tried my main account it always display the same problem of multi login and try again later problem. could it be the save file is bugged or something?

Yeah, I'm kind of curious as to the maintenance hours as well. Both DMM games I started playing were down right after I start getting into them Haha

Usually it's 10am to 3pm Japan time on Thursday, but because of all these events, there's been multiple maintenances the last two weeks. Game should be up in about 20.

Little weird that these side events need the full 5 hour maintenance.

That's why I prepared during the Gold Rush event. All that's left for me is to get the fairies and then feed them to the units that could benefit from them. If only I can get 2 silver soldiers as well because I have a level 50 Julian waiting to be class changed

Man check out those gold armor droprates with the 1.5x They're almost guaranteed. Not going to have to worry about gold for a while, think this is my first time over 1 million.

Little confusing how some of the gold rush units are worth 1500 at level 1, and others are worth 750 instead. I guess they can't really tell where you got your Ninja Hien copies from (Gold Rush or the magic crystal shop) to give them different exp amounts.

I might need some help on this one. I just wasted my entire charisma pool on three incredibly swift floor-wipes. The incredibly strict "You can only miss two enemies before game over" doesn't help, but I have no idea how I'm supposed to do this. Archers and mages are the only ones able to attack flying enemies, but how are they supposed to attack them if they fly down the center, out of their range?(seeing as they can only be put on the sides in this one)
Am I missing something here?

Archer range increases once they're CC'd so they can snipe the middle enemies. That or use an army of bronze ninjas or magic fencers/Rikka/sailors/etc.

Bronze ninjas are easy to get from base summoning. You'll eventually get one if you do the free summoning every day or spend some gold to get one.

Went again with Mehlis at level 60 and 630 attack is definitely not enough to one-shot the eyeballs. Looks like it's at least 640~650 minimum to kill them in one hit with a magical attack. Time to change my strategy.

Revised strategy brought me to 499. If only Marius didn't die to gunners.

Finally killed all 500. Timing Mehlis' range increase skill was important for me to kill that one escapee.

OK, that map is kind of annoying without any units with decent range, but you can do it without any class-changed archers.

First, none of your archers can reach the middle gargoyles from the bottom lane, so you need to place them on the top lane. Second, the Silver Archer Soma has a skill that extends her range, which means she has the largest window of opportunity to strike at the gargoyles, especially if you fed her copies of herself or another unit with Extend Range I like the silver pirate Giovanni, though if you have him, then you should take him along since he has better base range than an archer.

Bring at least 4 archers with you. Place your best ones (Soma and Daniella) on the middle two spots of the top lane (make it so Soma is positioned ahead of Daniella). If you don't have any more silver archers, then use iron or bronze ones that you got from either the base summoning or a previous map as drops to handle the middle two spots on the bottom lane. If you time Soma and Daniella's skill, you should be able to defeat the middle lane gargoyles in time. If not, then hopefully you brought an extra archer to drop on the leftmost spot to clear the straggler.

So I cash in 100 crystals. Annndd.. I fucked up, because I rolled Jerome on my 2nd roll, so I just had to buy 10 crystals, not 100. well, moving on. 4th roll, DUM DUM DUM DUUUUMMM, BLACK UNIT!

So like, I continued to roll, hoping to get another copy of Jerome so I can cost reduce, well, no dice. Didn't get anything else.

Out of 22 rolls, I got 1 black (mikoto), 1 platinum (jerome), and 8 gold units. The rest was silver. 2 out of 8 gold was male, I did roll the new gold geomancer unit... I guess I could play with her...

...

I don't know if I should be happy or disappointed. I really don't need that blasted Mikoto. But, I got jerome, oh well.
