Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

Just beat the 20 ap cost event stage water isnt very good there big monster use fire little monsters, use wind(literally talking about the size of them) dont think their is a single water weakness in the entire thing the final boss in that stage use wind on it kill it fast or it will wreck u killed my helper level 13 fire starter from full to zero with one hit also make sure everyone can heal or at least two out of three
(whats funny is all the enemies look like they should be weak to water)
Thanks for the heads up. I noticed that too. Sometimes enemies have names you can tell have a weakness by checking if they have the symbol for their element, and sometimes you can tell by their color, but I've found a few enemies that go against both those rules...Still, it works for a majority of enemies.

Water = 水
Fire = 火
Wind = 風

Already knew those from LoW, lol. The way the leveling system works in this game makes it very difficult to have a dedicated healer since she'll get less exp. You really want 3 girls with healing (Including the assist) that all have some different element damage. There's not a whole lot of room for creativity if you want a balanced team or you risk losing on difficult maps. Of course it's possible to run a non fire/water/wind team, but it isn't wise unless you know that the dungeon is all 1-2 elements you aren't weak to.

Not really, fusion takes care of exactly that. The water started girl is one of the best healer due to mp bank and magic, and she levels just fine with water aoe. (1h=3ko the 550 hp fire dogs now ...)

Balanced team wise:
Not necessarily true. Let me do a full analysis excluding helper.
Single element enemies:
Balanced team only guarantees that you have 1 unit weak that will be focused (not always, but boss does that), and you have 1 unit that will have low damage. It also guarantee that you will have 1 strong unit doing solid damage, which is great if all your priestess got aoe. (aoe is pretty rare so far and uses 60 mp)

Mix of 2 element enemies:
Guarantee of 2 unit being weak, 2 unit have has bonus damage. Fairly preferred situation, if you can 1hko the enemy, or has a aoe to finish off. Otherwise, you are spreading out your damage and getting hit from more enemies than needed because of it. But you can usually shurg it off and heal it by wasting a few turn/mp.

All 3 element enemies present:
Every single unit has a good target to go after, great if you can 1hko (magic usually does that on lower level maps) horrid otherwise due to spread of damage.

1hko and aoe skill are very important if you plan to run a balanced team. Otherwise, there's no reason to force yourself.

Due to the way physical and magical damage is separated, if you have a good solid physical attacker, elements can be ignored to a certain extent. Hence, there's no reason not to run a 3/1 or 2/2 team.

For example, running the water starter girl with aoe along with 2 wind girls would be awesome due to agility => first strike

Fire enemy, water 1hko due to spell (or close to, wind can finish off, usually taking down 2~3 enemies)
Water enemy, wind 1hko due to spell (or close to, water aoe can finish off)
Wind enemy, disadvantageous to the water girl, especially on the last battle/boss which has a tendency to focus. Physical attack will need to grind it down the hard way.

More extreme example, running full water like I did with a fire helper (no aoe)
Did not work out well when I faced full wind enemy, but it's a different story if the fire helper does have aoe. (i.e. >50% hp down, my water melee can take care of the rest)

Only thing that shouldn't be run is full element + same helper element. If you run full element, you always need an aoe helper that take covers for you.

You guys ahead of everybody else could mention drops you find on stages and difficulty of maps to help lower people. I'm wondering when/if 3 star girls drop. I'd love to get the starter girls that I missed, but it seems like given their ability to evolve twice (If that's what Dragon meant), they are probably super rare.

Also still haven't gotten the preregister girl, someone said she'll be handed out on the 20th right? I sure hope whatever I did before the game launched counted, I'd love her. I think wind element is my favorite so far, I really like the graphic for its spell damage. Argh, man I hate when one of my girls dies that I'm trying to level. Please let there be a revive spell in the future.

What I was saying is basically: Just because you can get away with it, it doesn't mean that it's the best option for a blind run. If you don't know the enemies, using only 1 element can be bad (As you found out), similarly running 2 isn't great, but more viable. 3 just gives you the best chance of survival on a new map is all. It doesn't mean you can't run 1-2 elements and still make it out fine, but if you come to a difficult enough level and get unlucky, it'll be your death where you might have barely survived using 3 strong different element girls.

It's easy to cover for one girl on your team having a weakness with defending and a heal once in a while, but covering 2-3 or even 4 of your girls? Now Imagine if the enemy has aoe spells... What if in the future there are enemies that are immune to certain types of damage too? Who knows what the later levels will bring. So using 3 elements will always be the most balanced and reliable, given that all your fighters are equally powerful (on blind runs). Of course if you know the map ahead of time, use whatever is best.

I'm sure most the time you can get away with 2 elements just fine though. I wouldn't recommend your lovely 1 element teams though :p I'm sure there'll be maps we all fail from time to time, whatever kind of team we use.

Be careful when receiving today's rewards. I clicked both of them but none of that got registered. Bugged out pretty hard, but now I don't have the preregistration reward girl :<

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

Yeah, the community board seems to have similar issues. Heck, there are complaints about white screen and errors popping up too. Definitely lost AP a couple times because of those.

Anyway, let's see what devs do ;p

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

Im still in the tutorial, after the first battle it takes me to the girl fusion screen i think, i select one girl and then there is an arrow pointing to a blank space and it doesnt advance no matter what I do, has this happened to someone else? Reloading doesnt work (using chrome, japan timezone and unicode)

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

First area is tutorial so the area I'm in would be 11-2 I suppose if I count the tutorial area as well.

10-5 is a boss battle, boss has around 4200 hp or so iirc. My game bugged after 10-5 so had to restart, but I think I got a 3 star card from 10-5, a water card, from that battle though I didn't get to see it on the results screen due to the bug.

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

For future references, 10-5 boss is called Ashura with 4300k HP and Fire Element. Good thing i brought a water element helper.

I got the same 3-star water miko! Yay~!
I combined her with my fully upgraded 2-star miko and she went straight to level 10.

Thank you kindly for the warning, always makes me happy when people share this kind of stuff instead of just letting other people have the same problem as well, lol. I'm sure they'll fix it.

Thanks everyone :D Now I won't have to farm this 2 star drop map anymore. Also congrats lightfellow (Darn ULMF lagging/breaking)

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

Guess I shouldn't have taken those two preregistration girls out of the box. Oh well.

Anyway my ign is Elezzo. Seems pretty hard to run into people to friend them though hopefully they will make some changes there.

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

Just got the 3-Star Fire Miko from 11-2. Was kinda hoping for the Wind type.

Btw, The 3-Star Mikos from Area 10-5 and 11 have max levels of 10. It takes 2.9k+ exp to get the starter 3-star miko to lv 20. So don't combine something that gives them 3.3k exp like me. LOL

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

It's a miracle, someone from ulmf found me.
+1 to Dark, well done!

People above me who posted with ign has been added. (Or will be in 15 seconds)
@Sable
If would you would be so kind, (or if you don't mind) please post your ign
@lightfellow
What did you use to gain 3.3k exp?

I combined her with my fully upgraded 2-star miko and she went straight to level 10.
As I mentioned before, 2 star-miko is the best way to level character especially same element. Thanks for confirming this light fellow.

Update:
2nd Post updated with current unit drop from boss, still need information on 11-2
2nd Post updated important tip - exp gain

Update on Elements:
Magical Attack
200% boost for weakness, 50% reduction for wrong element, 100% for same element
Physical Attack
125% boost for weakness, 25% reduction for wrong element, 100% for same element

Enemy defense is noticeable but mostly ignorable.

Re: [DMM] Grand Quest - Launched!

Just got the 2 star fire girl trying to level my other 2 stars, so I completed the set. All 3 of those 2 star girls are very similar, it seems they gain a single attack, a heal, and a strong single attack and have the same stats. Even leveling them up, their stats don't vary too much from each other. They have a noticeably higher magic power and MP than similar evolved level 1 girls and a pretty high agility.

Their heal is taking quite a while to acquire though and it's keeping me back from advancing x.X They gain their strong spell sooner than their heal (Level 2: Weak damage spell. Level 4: Strong damage spell). I don't want to fight somewhere higher without a healer or two on my team, so I'm stuck trying to level them.

@DragonPaladin.
My Ign is already on your first post . :D

@Smoothie.
It might be more worth it to fully upgrade your 1-star miko to 2-star. Get the 3-star from higher level and skip the rest. I'm unsure how long the event will be around, so you might wanna turbo it up a bit.

You have a point. For now all my evolved 1 star girls are much stronger than them (Minus their MP) and one has a heal. I guess I'll just focus on them for now.

Just got a level 1 charm item from gacha after all that work to get 200 FP, welp x.X
