Re: Wolf's Dungeon

Could someone PLEASE mirror this through another download server OTHER THAN MEGA? I have found MEGA simply impossible to deal with since it claims to support EVERYTHING OTHER THAN INTERNET EXPLORER and every time I have tried to use something else it simply screws up windows to the point of having to use a restore point.

On a side note, if anyone sees a eaarly demist for Bill Gates in the future I am sure the entire world of the internet would declare the day of his departure as a Memorial to celebrate for the rest of human memory.
No, Eluku specifically said to not upload his game elsewhere.

Get Chrome or get Firefox, is it that hard?

Re: Wolf's Dungeon

He really needs to add the inventory menu already. Navigating through an invisible inventory to find apples to eat is so intuitive /sarcasm. Best part was somehow searching "Food, Hunger, Apple" in this thread came up with no results explaining how to actually eat the apples either. People only mentioned that you can farm them off the first orc.

You need to tab then and arrow left while hitting spacebar till you reach the apples in your inventory (apples are about 3 spaces left when you first hit tab). This is also how you can reequip your clothing (Though you may need to go right, I forget). Down then spacebar will exit the game immediately.

Well now anybody who uses the search function properly will find this :p Wonder why he's waiting to add the menu.

Re: Wolf's Dungeon

Maybe try on different PC or OS, because menu works perfectly fine for some of us (not to rub it in), so maybe eluku isn't even aware of the problem. Attachment was made on Polish Win7 64bit - works with and without Japanese emulation.

EDIT: tried following versions: 150531, 150607 and 150712 and all 3 worked fine. But, I was unable to play the game on virtual XP at all - input was processed, but game window was blank/garbled, so maybe it's some kind on incompatibility.

Oh really? I have 150712, wonder what's up. I'm on Vista. I had a similar issue with invisible things with that 2nd game from the Magic Repure dev. The floor/environment was completely black/invisible for me. Running as Jap administrator (Even though my computer is already in full on Jap mode and other games function properly) said that I was missing a dll file, downloaded that and put it in the folder and it fixed it. Same solution not working for me with this though.

Only thing that I notice that might be odd with my game files is that the Game.ini that is created along with the Data folder when you launch the game is in random symbols/letters instead of moonrunes. That seems like it could be an issue. What does everybody else's Game.ini contain?

Searching for "inventory" in the thread brings up multiple people with the same issue, last was 3 weeks ago. Earlier ones have people responding with "The inventory menu doesn't exist yet", which is what I was going with (Until your message). So now I'm just confused lol. If it was added since then, dunno why it's not working for me unless Eluku uploaded a bad/old version to Mega or there's a different issue or something. Everything else works fine and I seem to be able to do things that were added in recent updates (Undressing).

Inb4 somebody thinks they're funny and mocks me for still using Vista, not asking for your opinion on my OS, it's not something I can change atm, just stating it for others/comparison.

I think Game.ini is progress saved on hay-bed, so it is encrypted on purpose and whether or not you see Japanese or random characters depends on text editor and/or characters layout - at least that's what I think. My Game.ini from 150607 looks like this:
Code:
ř xśř ˙"Ę%ĘŞťôĽŽ®rĎjqŚ +Ľ†~úĎKg®J ®[°;„˘-ySńÝ‚Ł^§Ô í3}—}ŁË-˝˙˘w6&'7Ů}ăLŠhĽ%Ł\—XsŻ;>#ŢDŃod:˛JŔŲé§(ň™ŢłĎÖ]Çsşżßě,Ńhk’ ‰h]<ř˛îGđ6ŻsA›łS¶bĂiI[şÍv^i2@ }âM#Ą"4‰vň'ĂŃj<u?*•6Şě￾š˝zëekĆX3Q±×VŔƒ,ůůĚŃ“o´lG1\ć׳żH”QůƒźŘ“D¤’!@ÎLbŔd©c‡(`ű‹TĺĘŹŕÜt˘wz>
(for reason unknown it's cut short in the post, so copy-paste won't work)

Ah okay, mine is similar. Well one possible solution/issue shot down lol.

Tried some older versions and it's no different, so not a version issue. Well this is sad.

just in case - here's my save from 150712 (first bed) - I doubt it will help, but anything is possible

Thanks but didn't work. Actually, I can't even load the saved game from that (I copy and pasted the text into my ini file since it was a regular notepad type). Interesting that save files aren't sharable.

maybe copying content screwed something (especially if there's at least one null character) - changing extension of attachment to .ini should make it work, but it probably won't solve your menu/inventory problem
other than earlier suggestion to try different PC/OS I don't have any more ideas

Tried saving the notepad as an .ini for what it's worth and still couldn't load the save. Thanks anywho, helped me realize there was a problem and narrow it down anyways. Guess I just have to hope that it's a known issue and might be fixed, or that I can buy a new computer soon lol. It'll be quite a while until this is finished.

Nooo! Nooooo! No saving it, this is data, notepad cannot save it and have you expect to read it with the game. You just need to right click and change the name from game.txt to game.ini. You might need to enable known file type extensions in your folder options to see the .txt. It works perfectly for me.

Ah yeah, tried renaming it too but didn't have the known file extensions visible so it didn't do anything. I changed that and the save did work, didn't fix the inventory issues though. Back to the garbage bin with you, Wolf's Dungeon.

Re: Wolf's Dungeon

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I get full screen in this game?

Re: Wolf's Dungeon

You can make the window size bigger (F6, F8 or F10, I forget - it's in the bar at the top) but I can't figure out how to full screen either.

Re: Wolf's Dungeon

Well, seems like the new update has a bit of work done on the new area.
The locked room now includes an extra 'prisoner' and plays a cutscene before entering, foreshadowing an upcoming boss battle.
The dev added in the KungfuOrc, but it doesn't do anything yet except coming after you and defending every now and then. You can't damage it and vice versa.
A gate will trap you in with the new enemy once the dev finishes the boss battle, but in the meanwhile you'll be able to leave the room at any moment.

Other than that some minor changes such as an increase in levelcap from lvl 8 to 10 and mentioning a change in the 'rise value' of the 'levelup time'. Not sure what that's all about.

Re: Wolf's Dungeon

Skeleton still missing.

If I was told I couldn't have a skeleton in a game I was making that was going to have guro in it, I probably would've either given up or kept it in and tell them to kiss my ass.

Either way, glad Eluku is still making the game.
