I empathize with the one doing the torture. But I will admit I'm a sadist at heart and that's just my fetish.

However I don't make the same distinction with rape, personally I like torture that is painful and displeasing at first but eventually she breaks down and begs for it. Keeping in mind that it is still painful for her.

Goodness... I can't even imagine. Using light guro as a coping mechanism, I suppose? As much as I typically like meeting other guro fans, your story's just devastating, and I really wish the event that put you on this path hadn't happened.

For the others in the forum: Not all of us have such pasts, of course. In my case, I've loved violence in fictional contexts since I was a small child. Once I became sexually aware, I loved guro from the moment I first realized it was a thing (which actually took a few years).

I suppose it all comes down to a simple fact: I've always had a rather firm line between fantasy and reality, and I've always believed violence belongs in the realm of fantasy. That's not to say I didn't think it happened in real life. Nobody that gets bullied in school could possibly believe that. Rather, I believed (and believe) that fictional contexts are the proper place for violence and the proper outlet for violent urges, and my love of violence in fiction is a reflection of my rejection of violence in reality. As long as nobody's actually harmed, I'm game. If there's any actual harm... Well, I'll put it this way: I'm the only member of my family who will capture an insect and release it outside the house rather than kill it.

I hope so. It could also be a way to access the new area after defeating the guardian, like the starting area and how you have to pull a key out of one of the girls after you beat the enemy there.

I highly doubt it, I just recently noticed that the "unused" spike in the kung-fu orc room has been removed, and we all had high hopes for that one.

Ouch...this game's leveling up mechanic is pretty broken...

There's leveling up, but if you progress at a natural pace then it's literally impossible to beat the first real boss. That's not hard, that's just poor execution.

I think this game would be better with a set difficulty curve. Doesn't really seem like it benefits from leveling up at all.

I'm pretty sure leveling at a natural pace isn't in Ryona design. if they have a level up system if not its supposed to be near impossible all the time.

If the point was to be difficult all the time, then you could just do without leveling up and have a high difficulty. Grinding isn't hard, it's just time consuming, it doesn't add any challange.

Also, by "natural pace", I don't mean an "easy" pace. I mean the pace at which the average player will progress. That means how much they win, how much they lose, how much difficulty they have with obstacles, etc. You can progress through the game up until than at a "nautural" pace, and it's only then that the game suddenly requires a time investment, rather than skill or perseverance against overwhelming odds.
