Well so far from what i know from Companion, he discovered than when you lose defending you actually don't lose resource, in fact the purpose of defending is not to protect anything, it's to kill the more enemy unit you can so they drop fragment of item, and when you collected a certain number of those item you are rewarded with the unit that dropped it.

A common unit need 5 fragment of item, 10 for a uncomon and 15 for the story unit, so the kind of fortress you want is one than make player want to attack it, but in wich you can kill the unit they use so you can grab few of those item.

I'm not sure if losing or wining a defending battle do anything.
Yeah, I figured that out too but not the fragment part. Sounds interesting.

Since completing my layout I received 0 new attacks (3 days) but if what u say is true, that's a terrible thing :p

I've defeated most people who attacked me since my city has been "complete", I even had the last guy not use half his team, he gave up I think? He only got 15% of my city, maybe he realized he couldn't do much better with what he had left. I only got one item from all of it though, must be pretty hard to get drops from defenses. It's weird how they show wins/losses in there. The wins are when you lose.

Also my city has an absurd amount of resources o_O Last defense fight I had 386,000 coins and 1,031626 purple gems, what's up with that? Anyways I really love watching the defense replays. Getting to see people falling for your traps, or people showing you the weakness of your city, so nice. I leave some low level walls in my city and the last guy who lost to me tried to exploit that, even though I have traps set up for it, hehehe. I prefer that over leaving a complete opening that's obviously a trap. I make my city seem incomplete for that.

The traps and replays totally make this game...

From the way it is going now, any city that doesn't have witches or godforsaken-thrice-cursed-dragon as defending group is worth the trouble of attacking.

Yeah, people just can't match the story mode cities yet with our current levels. Witches are really amazing on defense, they're like the artillery of offense :p

I'm working on stage 8-2 atm, it's pretty nuts. First time I've failed a story mission since I've been using artillery. Probably going to need to wait on skills to take out a few towers before I start the siege. I made the mistake of coming from the sides thinking the front would be trapped, but those red buildings are pretty sturdy. I'm looking forward to the samurai girl. How are you guys doing on story mode? (Cleared it after this post, woot. One my girls has a skill that can nearly one shot most high end defense buildings, really helpful.)

Anywho this game is more fun than I thought it'd be, usually it's the other way around. The variety of unit classes is nice and there's actually some challenge to most maps. I can see it getting old pretty quickly though if they don't have cool events, guess we'll see how that turns out. Story Mode doesn't seem like it'll last long.

I'm currently ready to tackle last map of story #9 but can't bring myself to do it instead of doing the current 100-long quest event centered upon grinding shitload of versus battles.

Maybe i'll finish the map tomorrow and get myself an automata just to make versus grind easier

How do I get more gacho stuff? I remember getting a present thing and got a bunch of them. How do I get more? Also, only some girls have H scenes? I wanted to see one form my fallen angel girl.

Wow, I'm way behind u guys.... can't clear story 5-1.....

From the gatcha I got 2 units with 60 cost, so unless they are god-like, using a single unit won't cut in....


The win-win of versus battles is a little inconsistent. We could easily just give away our resource buildings and in exchange the attacker suicides all units, then use the mana to recruit more (with leftovers) and repeat endlessly.

Do they not post the events on the forum? I haven't been able to find text to translate to figure out what the hell they are. Usually they'd put it in the news but I've only seen bug fixes and maintenance warnings in there. It seems there's a new one, dunno what it is though. Something about max level being 50 and H scenes by the image x.X

Also just tried out witches, as OP as artillery on offense. They can only be targeted by archer towers (So far), so if you take those out, it's like an auto win. Man artillery and witches make rogues and soldiers seem pointless as anything other than fodder for traps. I have enough resource gains from my buildings now to use two teams, pretty cool. Much less downtime between fights. About to try out my diva on my 2nd team now.

Edit: Was not as impressed with divas as with artillery and witches. They chase around your units and heal them I think? They die so quickly though o_O Maybe it was just a bad map to test them on with my witches (They ran through the enemy city to keep up with my witches and died very fast).

I tested a diva unit but was unable to confirm if she was healing or buffing.
As they are kinda weak, maybe it is better to pair them up with units with range or area attacks.

I think they buff attack passively but their skill is healing. Units die so quickly even healing knights is kind of silly. Either way I don't really see them worth their cost. They're useless without allies so they're purely support. Wasting 60 of your army limit on a unit that can't do anything by itself is pretty terrible in my opinion. Maybe once we have enough points to fill out an entire army I can see them being useful, but for now they're just a waste.

Bleh... so I got 2 pretty useless till late game (hopefully) units from the gift premium gatcha.
Just got my second squad and an upgrade to 90 cost. I love how buildings are really useful and how u can more o less prioritize development on different aspects of the game.

Kind of want to attack him just to beat it, but his city resources are trash for some reason, wouldn't be worth the cost. I don't know how his resources are so low. Cities that size usually have like 10k in both resources.

Earlier I found someone with all their resources set on the other side of a field filled with defense towers and an arrow made of walls pointing to his resources. How nice of him :p A give and take type city lol. Too bad most my team are knights so I had to kill all his defense towers to take out his resources in time x.x Knight AI, not always helpful.

Maybe a city's worth increases for each hour it is not attacked and each successful defence??? lol.... who do I want to fool... we know devs are not good enough to implement clever ideas like that :p

People, including me, avoid forts defended by dragon like a plague.

Defending witches can be managed. That thing can't be.

is she a gatcha unit or an unlocked unit?
She is an unlocked story unit for 10th mission.


Edit: so I've used this dragon unit a few times and found out that its attack has even bigger splash radius than that of artillery.

Man if it didn't take an hour to reset my city, this would actually be fun. Move 5-10 buildings, need to refresh the page or I have to spam click on anything before it moves, repeat 50 times x.x

Edit: Well I found if you hold down the mouse button a second on every option before releasing, you can still place things with the tremendous lag.

I think my new city is too intimidating. I got a bunch of new turrets so I redesigned it closer to what I initially had in mind, but I haven't gotten any attacks since then lol. But it's so pretty now x.x I really wanna see how it does on defense.

I'm sorry to say this but your city has absolutely no merit of attacking.
You might get occasional visitors just attacking out of whim though.
