I've got a question, about ero helper zero. Does anyone know how you get the screen that displays the victims face? It shows in the sample folder that's in the character folder, that it should be possible, but i can't figure out how to do it.

Hmmm, are you referring their profile picture in your mugen? Different mugen screenpacks vary, but you'd need to go into FF3 or a mugen editor and change the sprite group and/or number for that sprite.

So go into the .sff file, find the sprite you'd like as your main pic, and change it to 9000,0 (group/sprite#). 9000,0 is the default profile, at least for mine, while 9000,1 is the entire character picture display (a larger picture). Then save it; usually 9000,0 is a 25x25 pixel square shape, while 9000,1 is much larger and can vary in size.

You could also change which group/sprite# displays for your mugen profiles; you'd need to go into your mugen.cfg file and edit that. It's even easier, as long as you know what group/sprite# your desired picture is, but personally, I'd rather keep things streamlined and use the set 9000,0/9000,1 defaults.

In a sort of cool story bro moment, I accidentally reformatted my drive with all my mugen and H-games on it (ironically, in order to back up that drive) and lost my mugen. I work for a data company so normally that wouldn't be a problem to restore the lost data, but it was on an encrypted drive, and the header is destroyed (can't even find it in hex editors), so I'm SOL. Gonna start fresh with Judael's QoF (luckily, there's a link to it somewhere in this thread, even if he's taken down the site), but man, it's devastating to lose years and years of searching for H-characters, editing, animating and even spriting. *sigh* Happy thanksgiving.

Check the OP bro. IMHO it needs to be updated, but it helps.
In addition, Google Betmark, since he has one of the few remaining repositories still available for H-mugen. Senoj's post 162 of this thread also has Judael's (RMDB) excellent QoF mugen, which I'm using to rebuild my own collection. It's big, but it's very well done.

That mugen is huge! 35 files of 500mb each But thanks also I've been trying to find Arcana heart characters like Lieselotte for a while now and Senoj posted it. But is it the most recent version of her? Also I have angelia avallone, but this version has a biker guy with a mask that beats the crap out of me. Would somebody be kind enough to share the good version of her?

It was updated three weeks ago. Scrapped the dead links, added 2 new links. There's just not much for me to do. When someone makes (as an example) a new animation for Kuro's missionary position its cool and all but not exactly front page news. If you or anyone else finds something major out there I'll happily add it to the OP. I check this thread daily.

Ah gotcha. Sorry. Yeah that's a bit different. If it's not in the .sff file already, you need to add the sprites in, along with the anim for it, which does take a bit of know-how in FF3.

The sprite group number should be 25520, and the sprites should go up from 0 to about 20 (varying on character), so again, PM me if you're not sure how to add them in. The anims are a little harder. I think the anim numbers are:

I'm basing this off my limited knowledge of that particular move for kuro, and I'd be able to verify better if I didn't just lose all my mugen files *cries*, but I'm using the current Schlussel 1.82, so it should be fairly accurate; you can use her as a base for your character too. Also, if you can tell me which character you're referring to, or send me the character, I can either help you or just edit it for you.

(Yes, the "instant email notification" is ON)
Anyway, I'm pretty proud about the work I'm doing in those days and I would like to wash away from my person the image of "the one with the good roster of characters, but OUTDATED".
My main problem is the fact that I'm 'too much famous' and I can't upload everything without permission.
So I hope you may help me.
In the next weeks I will release a new version (if life will not show up with a bad joke, like it often happens), so I would like to add as more characters as I can.
Your help consist in this: give me a link of a character/s ready to be put in my game.
Maybe not a link with 200 characters (it would take a lot to download and try them all), if you know a character, compatible with at least Kuromaru and with no copyright problem I'll just have to make 3 portaits and what it need to upload it on my page (images, files, links, credits).
It may seem stupid, but it actually can take hours (most wasted making the portaits good enough and fighting with the palettes).
I hope you'll like the idea, because you know, my version is far to be one of the best around, and I can spend more time working on the game, if I don't have to search on the net, to find better-new version of hentai aviable characters.
(then yes, sometime I just like to make compatible NOT YET HENTAI ones, but give me something to have fun with)

Uh, there's copyright on mugen characters? I'm pretty sure fanmade ones dont' have copyright otherwise they'll get sued to death by current license owners.

Haha, sorry Betmark; definitely appreciate your work, since your site is very organized and well-thought out, and when I was first starting off years ago, I used it as a starting point. Honestly though, it really is outdated and most characters on your site are barely compatible at all with most rapers. It is still a good starting point for beginners of course, but I think what you're doing is absolutely necessary if you want it to be relevant to people who are a bit more experienced with H-mugen.

The problem is that, well, we're ALL trying to find new characters and it's really difficult to find good H-mugen characters. The reason why I respect your site is because it's one of the few remaining H-mugen repositories still available to the public, and it's more comprehensive compared to random and heavily outdated H-mugen sites (I'd list them but I don't want to offend anyone). I'd highly suggest grabbing the most recent stuff from the ryona mugen uploader, or seeing if Judael's okay with you using some of his characters from the RMDB, since they're more updated. Other than that advice and reminding you whenever a new character is released from the uploader, I'm not sure how much I could help you.

If Mugen_sprite_lover ever releases sprite sheets, I'd be happy to add those sprites into the respective characters, animate them for H-mugen use, and post those somewhere for you (or you could just put them in your repository for everyone). But he just seems to ignore those requests, sadly. And though my own mugen recollection is completely SNAFU (lost it due to accidental data reformatting), I'm rebuilding it and recreating the characters I once had, so I'll share with you if I wind up with anything worthwhile.

I will STILL remind y'all I'm a firm believer in working for what you want, so my belief is that, as I once did and still do, if you want new characters, either create them yourself or do the work to find them yourself. Not to demean your work, Bet, but for me personally, I'd much rather have a single excellent, fully H-compat character than an entire collection of characters with pretty portraits but hardly H-compat; my point is that you're building a game and need to make everything organized and good-looking, which is fine, but my own motive and agenda is to find as many of the best H-mugen characters I can to dump into my own mugen, which is (was) plain, simple, and boring looking, but very comprehensive and containing only the most compatible characters.

As for that "copyright" issue and using other people's characters...well, on one hand, if it's out there, it's out there--if I get a character, I'm dumping it into my mugen and editing it however I want privately, regardless of how the creator feels and that'd be my prerogative. Obviously I'm not going to redistribute it or take credit for the character, but there's really nothing a mugen character creator can do once he releases a character. I'm not sure if I understand your intent exactly, Bet--are you saying you WANT to take characters that authors don't want to share and use them in your game? If that's the case, if authors don't want to share their characters, how do you think we'll get them then?

I just quoted a small part, beacuse long quotes don't make sense.

Indeed, my first idea was to make a game with just the characters I like and make them as much compatible as possible, but then people started to make requests and the rapers's moves started to become to many and too much complex. I still don't know a lot of codes, that's why I'm still stucked with 2 versions of Kuromaru and Minotaur.
It was easier at the begin, but then I had to add a 'finish' move to Kuromaru and 4 new positions for Kuromaru Plus, then I still don't know how many for Minotaur... and still don't know how to add the limbs that are supposed to be in front of the raper!

It drive me crazy, when I add a sprite, but for an unknown reason the size, or the palette is totally wrong (or some other issues I don't understand).
So I easily give up and focus on something else. (I'm sorry I've not been able to accomplish some requests, because of those problems)

Ok, I almost forgot the topic, so let me go back on it.

1) I think you're right about 'make your character'.
By that I both mean "take a videogame character that you want to add to your game and make it compatible" AND "DO your own character".
But the second is tough!!! I tried 3 times to make a raper, but I'm not smart enough.
I asked so many times "How can I add a grab move?" "How can I 'copy' that move and add it to my character?" and similar questions, but nothing.
Elecbyte started a beautiful project, giving us the tools to make a videogame, but then... they just didn't care to give us the RIGHT tools and TUTORIALS.
Sadly, even the most accurate fan-made tutorial I saw, so far, don't explain more than the basics.

2) I know that authors that don't want to share are greed for no reason and I actually don't see the point of their behave.
It's not like someone can make money with mugen.

Still, even if they can't do anything to stop me to use their characters, they can still ask me to DON'T... and the bad part is that I don't want to disappoint anybody, so I will respect their wishes.
...still you can ask me them by PM, I have no regrets sharing that way.

i can help with adding a Raper Grab to a character,i'm about to make a tutorial explaining the basics about it,you need 4 states,animations,comands,sounds.
