I use AGTH : Anime Game Text Hooker to extract lines. It's freeware, and is very helpful.

With must RPG Maker games you'll need to set certain options, or it will repeat every single syllable.

I copy and translate as I play through the scene. Granted, the images don't help a lot, but it lets me know exactly which sets of syllables are grouped together. This helps me figure what the character is saying.

As for where they are, these are the capture scenes after you've gotten into Studio 2 and defeated the boss who is holding Whip hostage.

Aye, I use AGTH as well for just about every other game. So you're manually going through each scene to capture the text. That does allow a better in-context translation. I've been taking the text directly from the game complete with all the RPGMaker text formatting cues (font colors, text pauses, etc). Then editing it when I get to it in game.

Just bought ARK yesterday evening, it is pretty fun. Slowly making bases every 10 lat/long along a beach in a single player world. Not sure I like the engram system too much since it means sacrificing better crafts to get clothes. A sacrifice I'm not entirely inclined to make with the nude skin I installed.

Uploaded progress for the day to the MEGA folder in my signature. The prison level is finished (Map to the right of where you first meet the merchant), though this accomplishment is somewhat diminished by the fact that there were only two lines which both said the same thing in the map. All progress with the merchant has been updated. I've copied over the text from the next map where you encounter Ura being trained by the 3 brothers.

Some more text I need help with. Mostly single words/phrases that I couldn't figure out.

Curious, who is your favorite boss in this game?

• He is the boss that you fight to rescue Whip
• If you try to fight him while both Ura & Blade are captured, you get a lovely scene of them being sent to the boss (you would also be captured and get the crotch rope tortured GOR treatment)
• When you finally get to him, he turned your friend into an obedient sex slave. He is making sure you want to smack him good.
• He is busy enjoying himself on your friend the whole time he is dealing with you, even during Blade`s rant...
• Turns your whole party into masochist as soon as the fight starts
• If fucOing your friend to heal himself during battle is not enough, he also have 2 more subordinates with pet girls to heal him
• Saving those pet girls would spawn replacement kunoichi (female ninja) for you to capture (for more battle H)!
• Party members that got imprisoned during the fight would still be busy being fucOed by Ninja after the fight for more H and extra dialogues.

Here is almost like the Kafka equivalent of an H game boss... Ahriman really did a good job designing him. Too bad he is the first boss and not given a greater role.

1. In order to progress, you need to pick up Whip`s whip from studio 1.
2. The purple hair nerd would then move to studio 3. Follow him.
3. Once you have the first set of dialogue with him, go back up to the hidden control room near where Blade first join the party and use the far left switch.
4. Go back to studio 3 and check the hidden door
5. Go back up to control room with your new found control stick and use it on the center control.
6. You can then enter studio 2 from behind (next to jail)

I am working on a walkthru here

I've completed every step on that list. I have obtained and used the center control rod but still have no access to studio 2. I think I need to start over.

Amazing how some people put time and effort into these projects armed only with a machine tool and no basic knowledge of the language.

Suggestions in bold, I can explain most if not all of the garbled speech but I leave the English equivalent to the translator.

Heh hehe・・・\! Essentially 手前ら in a rude form. Basically the rude way of addressing a group of people directly. Translating it to "bitches" is a close equivalent.

If this is one of the women speaking, there are two possibilities. One is a direct insult since はげ is a colloquial word for baldie, while the other is the word being cut short due to the woman being raped. Probably meant 激しい: too fierce. As for the second one, very likely the full word was abbreviated or it's an onomatopoeia for a sound effect. Since I can't remember the context, this is the best I can provide.・・・\.\.
あでっ！\.\.Again an abbreviation. Likely short for 当てる: Hitting the mark.

Essentially a whole series of muffled speech due to the speaker being deep-kissed at the same time. The one exception is ひゃめっ which is essentially 駄目: No! when the speaker isn't articulating clearly.

Just making sure you are not entering studio 2 from in front. Do you have a yellow door that is still locked to the west of Studio 3?

What people do with their spare time is none of my business, just that having no ability to proof-read what is produced and requiring help from others for routine speech raises eyebrows regarding the end-product.

Not really, if anything you can either consider it a group project.

To my knowledge, every company that produces high quality products do have quality assurance in some way (game - testers, books - proof readers, etc)

Besides, what start as machine translation today may becomes actual translation years later if he decides to properly take class for it after being encouraged by having positive feedbacks.

Not to mention even people who understand the language will still have to attempt to decipher some of the quirkier way of speech (like Boris and using katakana instead of hiragana here n there)

Not to say you can't criticize, but your post having a sort of 'you're shit, gtfo scrub' implication is...discouraging.

Hello! I'm a lurker with a low-to-almost-medium understanding of Japanese, so I'll attempt to contribute some proofreading coming soon. I want to go back through some of the previous pages and give a second opinion on some translation stuff, so look forward to it.

Someone can create a collection of links to all the translation-related post, and also organized it for TNT. We can then chalk it off as each one get proofread. As lazycat surmised, this is turning into a group project, and a fun one at that

The point of arrival here is to get everyone to keep working on the translations, make it good, and also to keep the effort going until Ahriman stop patching and move on to his next game. Don`t let it end like Sacred Eyes (English stopped at 1.3/赤首の闘技場 (English at 1.02)/other partial translations.

Human-assisted machine translation might not be correct, but at least it layout the flow. And with all the Japanese text laid out, isn`t it easy than for you to start from scratch?

The translation ... Listening to a Manowar playlist and Pleasure Slave just started, too appropriate for words ... what was I saying?

The translation in game is available in the link in my sig if you want to see if it makes sense at all. I don't think its too bad personally. I'm doing what I can. I would gladly hand over the reigns to anyone more familiar with the language (wouldn't take much). But so far no one else has stepped up to do a full translation.

Any translations I've done that can't be seen quickly in the game itself are available upon request. The files I'm working on are also available in the mega folder subfolder.

Look over what I've done and if it is truly trash, I'll stop. There's little to no chance I'll learn the language properly. I've a doctorate to get which leaves me with precious free time that I'm choosing to spend trying to do this.

In any case, thank you for the advice with the last bunch. It's past 1am, so I apologize if I'm too touchy right now. Hopefully I can restore my reason with some sleep.

Edit: Should also mention, I've only play tested and therefore done 2nd and 3rd passes on text up to the banquet hall fight. Any defeat scenes there, the end of it, and anything beyond has not been reviewed and so is very likely trash at the moment.

I'll leave the full proof-reading of the English translation to others since I find it easier to directly answer queries for specific segments of the text. As long as someone looks over what I've been suggesting, then everything else which happens afterwards should be taken up by someone with the motivation and time to continue to the end.

I like Mask just because he is making his own perverted superhero series.

However, I would LOVE to see Boris as an alternate boss. I think he should be an NG+ boss which you can only find after discovering clues hidden throughout all the studios.

Paraphernalia in each studio: flyers advertising his slave trade, some videos of Ero Mask episodes with reviews by Boris "an expert on taking girls", and maybe even photos of him buddying up with all the other bosses "to my best customers EVER".

As for proof reading, I usually did most of Asagi's capture scene in one day, and while I was working (12 hour shift) I was thinking about certain phrases over and over.

I admit that I'm not great, and I use Google-fu in addition to poring over websites for possible sound effects and slang.

I don't mind posting this on the forum as it allows the forum to proof read it themselves and offer editing ideas.

There are plenty of people interested in this game, and at least 2-4 people working to translate it with many more offering ideas for specific changes.

Without the support of you all on here, this wouldn't be able to be done.

Probably about half way through the text in the training room.
Sporadious: I'm going to go ahead and copy the text in margin010 which I think is the banquet hall defeat text and translate that. Just a heads up if you were planning on doing that. Though a second opinion still always helps.

A few more things I'm not sure on from the 3 Brothers/Ura scene.

if so whip is at the tome area of wooden horse. ura is at the switch room right side.
