Well... the real issue is... even if I was to not try and kill the lich which would be minus 1 life.... when he goes out he two shots Bashira then turns to kill off a mage... then kills off Alissa then my other mage... at which point I do not have the damage to finish off the swarm of goblics and orcs(?)... this results in Leeanne getting overwhelmed and killed while Katie barely hangs in there before the map fails due to them getting out even with replacing Leeanne as the damn lich just kills them.

So I guess I'll get Kerry to 50CC20 and get my bronze mages up to 40 both before I try again... How much can you CR bronze units by the way?

If you want to plan for castle retake, the Lich there hits for 500. Since your Carrie has 10% mdef, that is 450 per hit. At the very least you want combined healer power of 450 (for healers in range of your Carrie ofc). To make matters worse, Lich aspd is slightly higher than your healers, so you will have to address that.

If you just want to slip past that mission to get Valleries, here is an not-so-easy but low requirement strategy for 1 star. It uses only 1 CCed unit (archer). It also uses Vallery, but you should be fine using Roy in his place, especially since you can use Chloris instead of Nenya (the cat witch) and you can level your other units higher than in the vid.

What is important here in order to keep your ranged alive is deployment order. If Lich is blocked, he will target unit that blocked him. If not - he will target the last deployed unit in range. You need to deploy your ranged first and your 'lightning rods' after.

Yeah, I´m worried that the business model is a bit too RNG reliant for western audiences. That said, you don´t NEED the rarest units to progress, bronze and Silvers are suprisingly capable.

exactly you have 50% for silver... sure the 15 is not the fair statistic count but in the statistical sample = 100... I can assure you it wont be 50 silvers as it should be.

Well once again that is not how percentages work. In a perfect world sure out of a 100 rolls you would get 50 silvers, but that isn't how it works since the world is not perfect. Each roll is a 50% chance of being silver. So you can roll 999 times and get 999 silvers and the next roll will still be a 50% chance of being silver. Your previous rolls will never effect your future rolls. You will always been more likely to obtain a silver unit when doing premium or rare rolls.

However in 20 rolls the more then likely scenario is that you'll end up with 15 silvers, 4 golds, and one platinum/black units. However my rolls were more lucky and I've gotten 2 platinum, 3-4 gold, and only 1 silver.

Anyway if you do not want to leave it to chance then purchase xp and gold boosts... then farm all day long. The units the game gives you is more then enough to beat it, and you'll even be able to buy more units if you use crystals on the Thursday daily.

but but... my cute princesses and nanaly! I must have them! Especially Bernice! (Note that I'm done with my premium rolls and saving for the future... at the very least until are my units are at their max point. It is pointless at the moment to use premium rolls any further. Bashira will be just fine.)

5 Crystals = Random Black
4 Crystals = Random Platinum
3 Crystals = Random Gold
2 Crystals = Random Silver
2000 Gold = Random Bronze/Iron

Would also be a must better model.... at that point we can at least justify it.

IF you know that you will get black/plat you would spend the amount crystals... but the "chance" right now pff

The reason I put it at 5 is because even with all the luck in the world you would still need 5 copies on the same unit for it to be at it absolute peak of strength. Which would be a minimum of 25 crystals which is 25 USD at the current price. Which I find alright for a game I enjoy seeing as I am about to spend that much on a skin for League of Legends that actually does nothing for the game play lol.

True... it my opinion for this side of the world a business model in which for example you got 1000 gold for 1 USD world make them a lot more money. As our mind set is... "Well it is only one dollar". In that regardless we will end up spending hundreds of dollars a month simply because it is "only one dollar" without even noticing that we did. That isn't even talking about the whales that would end up spending thousands a month due to that factor. That is unless they get really lucky and get tons of every units as opposed to a ton of silver and gold units.

Honestly which one of you guys would not spend 10 dollars for 20 premium rolls?

EDIT: Also add into that factor that most of us 'gamers' are obsessed with completely shit due to 'acheivements'. We will just be driven further to spend with a lower price point. Which in turn makes more money.
EDIT2: Not to mention the factor that after you are invested in something you are more likely to spend more money on it...

That's too long term thinking, most "producers" (fucking idiots with money to license or hire a team to make a game) just want to ear money NOW (yesterday if possible) and if that means to throw away the game tomorrow, they couldn't care less....
Aegis is rare because it is actually a good game, so even if the business model is crappy, u can still enjoy it.

Black units don't need to be at peak strength. At full cost and skill lvl 1 a full lvl Nanaly can win any story map on her own....

But they don't really want people to have black units, they just want people to want them. Just like Jackpots on casinos, they are the reason why people keep putting their coins in.

14 silvers on 15 rolls is quite a bad beat though, sorry to hear that

So for the people who have played the original version... in the future is there a map that will allow use to farm silver units? or am I just stuck saving all my silvers for CC and Awakening purposes?

Event maps usually drops silver units, the current event on JP has 8 different silvers that can drop. But since we dont have any events yet, we can only get them from lotterys...

Again, 50% chance of silvers. Assuming you bought 100, you would on average get 50 silver units. And 3 black ones.

that once again is not how that works.... If your first 50 were all silvers... the next 50 wouldn't suddenly be only gold, platinum, and black units.

No of course not. But it means that if you bought 100 things, you would on AVERAGE get those %'s. So getting 17 silvers and 1 gold is still fitting with the statistics.

It's basically a coinflip everytime to get a silver or not get one.
