Well, theme of event seems to be in early Black Armor rush. Everyone who 3* Castle Retake should have little problem with it. MvP are witches, with mages close behind them.

No no no no no. If there's one thing I've learned from the second map of the event, this event is very much FUCK YOUR MAGES. As early as the second map, I've found myself up against a pink Iron Ball armor with high MR and, get this, he launches his mace like a fireball to nuke your army. Mages cannot be the answer since this guy nukes mages like they're nothing.

This event is anti-mage.

yes! i got my second Maribel during my first run of the 6Stam map

just a reminder for everyone!

Maribel is blesed with a low cost. however remember to get several copies for CR purpouses. if you somheow manage to get her to max Cr and 5/5 and still have some leftover copies. SAVE THEM! there is a Valkirie who has the same skills. having several copies of her will save you time there. (or just wait for that valkirie when she comes lol)

second of all. level your mages and place your healers correctly. i had no problems and my black bear is merely 50/01 no affection

Mages work pretty well against everything that isn't the Pink ones though. You need some good healers to keep people topped off, and I think without Mages you might have an issue with your Princesses holding off the enemy since - except for Anya - they can only hold 1 at a time.

Uploaded a quick (horrible) video of a final map clear with low level (20) mages but decently high level everything else just to show that mages while probably necessary to clear this event don't really need to be super leveled, just present and not getting one-shot

Aside from being able to kill the first 3 armors provided you're properly leveled you should be able to replicate this strategy pretty easily w/ well leveled silvers. Bernice is entirely replaceable, any unit that will block the AoE armors from hitting your backline when the first few waves of ghosts show up is all you need

Actually, my CC archer, witch and healer are doing well against the armors. Plus I'm waiting for the right moment before drop an melee unity in their position.
Also, rouges are good to make the pink armors miss their attack until they are in close range.

I guess I'm just not powerful enough to take it, then. I'm stuck on story mission "Citadel Battle" anyways, so I guess the only cure is to grind for a little while and buff up my team a bit. I just hope I'll be able to get Maribel before the event is over.

I guess I'm just not powerful enough to take it, then. I'm stuck on story mission "Citadel Battle" anyways, so I guess the only cure is to grind for a little while and buff up my team a bit. I just hope I'll be able to get Maribel before the event is over.

Yeah that`s the only way I did mine. I just farm farm farm (yeah I know it`s boring) and after that try the stage I couldn`t clear.

As for the event... You really need the heals that`s all.

I've found that 3 witches, 2 healers, 1 mage, hero, Katie, and Anya are pretty much enough to clear all the maps. You may need an extra healer if your characters aren't cc'd and use Leanne if you don't have Anya.

I've spent like 4 so far just to test the combination rates, and I've gotten like 10 Maribels. Still sitting at -2CR 3/5 skill

Remember that you only need to clear the 4th map (and kill the 'plat' armor) to get Maribel. The 5th map is to farm additional Maribels.


A lot of people recommend CCing Katie first but I personally think CCing a healer first is the best call. There are ways to work around unCCed Katie but the range and power boost to a healer is just invaluable.

Maribel's skill doesn't evolve after cc, right? So I can just feed her normal copies?

usually when the skills have a name, in this case "holy awaken", they dont change. you can also tell because it doesn't have a a holy awaken 1/2/3, a number suggesting it has alternate versions.

How was the Leanne drop rate? Or silvers in general if you didn't spend it all on the last map.

Out of like 12 runs now, 1 Leanne, 2 rubies.

Very quick question (sorry if it was already asked)

Who's that ninja saki for 300 demon crystals?

Is she worth it?

Askin cuz i have 312 crystals atm (i decided not to buy fairy queen healer who's now swapped away) and I reaaaaaalllyy want Spica.

I do understand though that i probly won't manage to grind enough crystals later on to get ninja saki before she is swapped in turn.

What should i choose?

Plat unit (who is only worth using at max CR and max/near max skill) at 50% drop rate, yes.

Problem is, I don't have a good archer (Daniella's my best atm)

So.... Taking that into consideration - Spica or Saki?

I'd say Spica because you can probably get enough demon crystals to min-cost her before they rotate out again.
