I used a Valkyrie to block Ifrit. A gold one, max level and max CC. Put a healer behind her and she'll tank it fine. I'm thinking of trying to use Rowanna as an Ifrit tank since the Valkyrie was just slightly too slow to kill it to block the second one on Flame X.

Blegh finished, 3*'d everything but Flame Beast X mostly thanks to having Anya and Karma at a decent level. Took awhile but Anya finally had her time to shine at being an mvp unit and I'm now beginning to slightly regretting not perfecting Karma. The Silver Units I mentioned earlier about helped out immensely as well. Spending 1 SC on the +5 UC might have helped a little bit as well, probably didn't need it but I had some extra SC and I needed it to pass War of Magic anyway so I figured why not use it to help me pass some event maps.

I foolishly tried to 3* FBX around 7 times even though I really didn't need to....went into a dark crazy place for awhile, but I finally threw in the towel and came to peace that I just can't do it at this moment in time, at least I get a Rainbow Fairy for completing it.

Though I don't take too much solace in being done since it's only going to get even harder especially since Awakening might be coming around soon....or who knows maybe we'll start getting those events we missed for awhile like Cloris or Yurina or even that Gold Rush, took a peek at Cloris and her event would definitely be a nice easy break, Yurina doesn't seem too bad either.

Good luck with Mighty Ogres X on 3*... that's probably a harder map than Flame Beast X imho.

It really isn't. It has only two black onis and they are separated by a lot of waves. FBX has two efreets right at the beginning and then a bit later two black onis, one right after the another and all of these units are walking a significantly shorter path than in MOX, even with the speed increase in MOX.

Essentially I lack a properly upgraded Karma and a platinum witch to beat it. Since there's more than a week left, I think I can level these units up by farming Gravestone X and Crossroads X for black/platinum spirits and patinum armor respectively. And of course doing the monday daily.

It really isn't. It has only two black onis and they are separated by a lot of waves. You have Nanaly and Despara to handle that first Black Oni in Mighty Ogres X? I don't, nor do I have an Immortal Karma. I was using the Demoness's buffs, 3 black units, 3 plat units (plus Len in reserve for the trait), 4 gold units, 4 silver units and the prince and barely managed to 3* it. I'm not going to force you to believe me or listen, nor am I going to drag out a useless argument. If you lack a Princess, yea, Flame Beast X is hard, but its not nearly as hard as trying to stop and kill that initial Black Oni in Mighty Ogres X, its got 22,500 HP, 300 Defense and 2000 Attack, anything you put in front of it that can't evade or be cured quickly is going to get steamrolled.

I had to try flame beast X so many times... I really wish I had me some karma, but nope.

Are any of the maps worth farming or should I go back to commission sortie Immortal Beast and Phalanx until the next event?

Farm some silver units you're short on, or are going to need for CC/Awakening, there's quite a few Silver unit drops in this event so I'd take advantage of it while it lasts. Flame Beast X is pretty hard without a decent Princess unit, grats on the 36*s!

I take it you were able to watch the video on niconico? Looks like you can possibly push levels on a couple units if possible and you should be able to handle it.

Just got back home so I didn't have time to watch it yet Stamina was about to hit max so I thought I'd give it another try. I gave Clissa 3 more levels yesterday and figured I'd try to deploy the prince earlier to boost her attack a bit, and yeah, she handles all three Efreets pretty much alone now, which lets me focus on onis. This is only possible thanks to her skill (Heal IV), otherwise I'd have to deploy a healer before the prince. I didn't have enough unit points to use Karma though (not to mention Anya) or to replace Spica with Odette and that's probably the main reason I failed. But yeah I believe I can do it

Edit: as expected, still can't login to niconico. But nevermind, it's actually more fun to try myself now that I know it's doable.

Nice, good luck on that 3* clear! Unfortunately I started way after Anya's event @_@ so I'm missing Aria, Anya, Echidna, Belinda and Maribel. I was barely strong enough at the time to scrape by Karma's event with the Platinum version with around 350ish~ serums so she's nowhere near being perfect... Would really love to see some revival events soon now that we're getting closer to the end of the pre-Awakening events.

I don't even have Shiho lol, I just started playing right as her event ended.

I have 33 stars so far without trying Flame Beast X yet, Might Ogres X was easily dealt with by just my Olivie. She can 1 v 1 black onis.

Also my Gellius tanked the second one while I had 2 healers heal him and he solo'd the oni too.

I think out of all the event units I have, the only one I really use is Odette. Len is only tossed in when I have a free slot and can make some use out of her trait to lower skill cooldown timers (speeding up Solano's attack cycles and Phyllis/Katie's skills for reinforcements come to mind) beyond using her for that, I already noticed we got the unbuffed Len so her affection bonus is useless (seriously? Defense/HP+ on a ranged unit? why....?) Lynn....I can see some uses for her but not much else Katie, Phyllis and a couple other Rogues/Bronze Soldiers can't already do. Rowanna is really hard to use to her fullest potential. Even Vampire Karma is kind of hard to use when she can't be healed and lacks the 9~13s of invincibility of Immortal Karma. Shiho isn't horrible, but I've not the time or the resources readily available to throw at her to get her leveled and CC'd yet.

Having Belinda, Maribel and Immortal Karma probably would have made Mighty Ogres X a lot easier for me as well. Anya...what's wrong with wanting a dragon girl on the team?! Aria I'd like to have just because she'd make a great secondary option for Katie, not to mention the demoness refuses to give me Julian so I only have 1 UP Battery giving me +15UP every 39.5 seconds. I could go on but I'd rather not lol already didn't want to go into my views of the event units when a ton of the coming event units are mostly going to be niche classes filling occasional roles, assuming we even get 95% of the event units the JP server has...

I sincerely hope that the future star collecting events are this easy.

It is really helpful for a new player like me to get all these maxed platinum units for free. Though I cannot hope to get any of the units that I have missed anytime soon it seems.

Latest reference video toward 3* for Flame Beast X. Gotta spend my resources on other games before I make more attempts at improving it, but these units are MUCH more accessible to unlucky/free players.

Next attempt will be replacing samurai and bernard with Cecily, and some other unit to attempt to stop the black armors next to my witches.

Might also work on replacing the gold valkyrie with a different unit since she's no longer obtainable by free players.

Your's is actually easier to 2 Star it until Your 23 Kill
