EDIT: You know, I never really asked this question, so... What IS Awakening anyways? What does it change? The only thing I know about it is only Gold+ units can do it and it requires either non-CC'd Golds or CC'd Silvers to do. But no one yet has actually explained what an Awakening actually does. Could someone please tell me?
Yes, Princesses do have an Awakening. As to what all Awakening entails, I'll try to cover all of the high points.
Firstly, any Gold+ unit can be Awakened, although not every class has had its Awakening added yet.
Secondly, when you Awaken a unit, their level resets to one and their level cap is raised by 20 levels (well, 19 for Blacks who have their level cap raised to 99). However, in general their stats are reduced by about 20 to 30% compared to max level 50CCX0, but their stats are also generally back on par somewhere around AW40 to AW60 depending upon the unit with their stats continuing to grow from there resulting in an ultimately stronger unit.
Thirdly, most classes gain some general trait or ability or have their class ability improved upon. Soldiers gain increased attack speed, Heavy Armors can block 4, Witches slow power is stronger, Archers inflict 1.3 times damage to flying enemies, Valkyries return their full UP cost when retreated, Rear Tacticians have their cooldown reduction increased from 20% to 30%, Ninjas have their UP cost reduced, etc.
Fourthly, every unit gains a new personal ability or has their personal ability strengthened. For example, Monica's Demon Crystal drop increase ability is strengthened, Spica boosts the power of all Archers by 7%, Katie raises the defense of all units by 2%, Rowanna becomes immune to status effects, Saki has increased Attack Speed, etc.
Finally, Skill Awakening becomes available to units who have their skill max leveled, although not all units have had their Skill Awakenings added.
As to the cost, it costs between 200k to 300k gold, 1 Awakening Fairy which costs 100 DC, a number of specific class Awakening orbs determined by the class and rarity, and 3 CC'ed Silver/non-CC'ed Gold units depending upon the class and rarity.
