Personally, I'd go for Bashira and/or Gellius, with the latter benefitting from Rainbow Fairies more than the former.

I'm inclined to disagree, Victoria and Monica can just be fed dragon steaks(Gadoras, Silver dragon from Anya's Event, we'll likely get a Revival soon), Lyra could eventually be fed Rorone(Event Bandit, requires CC, but everyone has a ton of Bandits lying around anyway) but as a Bandit she's already pretty niche so it's not particularly useful, Marius gets very little from a higher-level Skill, -0.5 seconds WT and -1 CT, no change in duration, he can eventually eat Sharon(Silver Bishop with the same skill, think Spica and Lauren) too. Fedora could technically be fed Belindas, which will probably be our first Revival, but boosting range is very, very niche, I don't really think it's worth it either.

Getting Gadoras is a crapshoot. I'd rather not feed Rorone into anything other than Rorone (also Bandits are nice). Sharon comes out in 2 years. Range boost isn't that niche, I've gotten good use from it.

All 5 of the units I suggested, I did based on their AW skills. Although my opinion is skewed because I am a free player and value every event and unit.

Edit: @Thervold There will be some very rare times when you'll want 3 Soldiers, but most of the time 2 is more than enough. However... Katie is love. Don't turn your back on her. She's better than Aria for me.

(and there are currently NO means to CR Katie, and I am not wasting like 15-20 rainbow spirits to max her skill out)

Eventually, hopefully, we'll get some duplicate Katies.

Technically Aria is better because max event reward unit OP, but... at least Katie doesn't die to a breeze.

I love Aria though. She might be the only gold unit I awaken. Anyways it's always better to use those Rainbow Fairies in rare skills instead of the common attack up skills, etc. But I guess those are mentioned already...

Since i have that (unfortunately, a bit wasted, sigh) platinum male tactician Jerome, and perfect Aria (from event) - will I ever need Katie at all???

I mean for the past 8 months or so she's just been lying a dead weight in my unit pool -are there any events where i will need like THREE tacticians?

Not really, Jerome and Aria are fine, no need for Katie since she's very difficult to CR without wasting Time Fairies, DMM only has four total copies of her so far, one from the tutorial, two for each Anniversary Events(two years apart) and one from a Subjugation Event.

Getting Gadoras is a more of a byproduct, he pops up every once in a while during Events and you'll be farming maps that drop him for Revival Crystals even if you already have Anya when her Revival comes around, unless you really want to skip a Time Fairy. Rorone is useless if you have Lyra, might as well use her for something, Sharon's a non-issue, it's more of a "if you really want to max Marius' Skill, there's a Silver for that eventually" since it's not worth maxing it in a hurry. Fedora's Skill AW is good, but it takes fewer resources to get a few Belindas for 3/5 or 4/5 and then finish up with Rainbow Fairies instead of going straight with them since they're valuable.

Your suggestions aren't bad or anything, it's just that some units can't get a proper Skill up without Rainbow Fairies and, as such, they should get priority. For most players, getting a second Bashira's never going to happen so popping Rainbow Fairies is the only way they'll get even 2/5 with her.

As a free player, I would rather spend my resources during an Anya revival on the main event at hand.

Yes, farming for Gadoras and a Time and feeding Rorone to Lyla are the "best" ways to play, but I'm not about the best. You could give me a Lyla, Amanda, Dahlia, and Clissa and I would still focus on combining Rorones into each other.

I personally am not fond of the "optimizing" we can do because we know what the future holds.

But I guess most other users probably don't care. Gellius still a good choice though.

You're free to ignore my advice and simply play the way you want, but free players can't really afford making too many mistakes, especially on the Nutaku version where we get fewer Sacred Crystals than the DMM version to fix whatever we messed up, that's why I suggest ways to optimize things.

I am not a free player. I have given up console and pc gaming. Nutaku games give me my fix these days. So yeah, what I am not spending on a PS4, Just Cause, SW Battlefront and all the other rip offs goes into Nutaku for example.
But I agree, free players should REALLY take a look at the video guides and copy those core teams so they at least can run all daylies without probs. Because if you ran out of steam from the early game and still can't beat Golden Armour and Spirit Rescue H you are pretty much fucked.

Tried Rawr1125's strategy for golden wolves. It was the closest I get to 3 star this map, but still can do better. Forgot to take second mage to the team (maxed out CC'ed Cyrus) and barely touched Solano just couldn't do well enough in his place so even two normal wolves escaped. But here I just need to swap Solano and Cyrus.

The problem is that my Maribel just couldn't survive those gold bastards. No idea when she died and she had her skill activated. Anyone has any idea if Anya is able to block two wolves simultanously?

Yes Anya has 2 block, just swap her out at the end for the wolves.

You don't need 3*. Just kill the wolves that drop the items and pray that RNG gives you them. Like normal completion rewards, once you have received every drop at least once you get the shiny.

Anya can block two wolves... but not for long. Even with skill, that is some major punishment, especially considering your healing isn't always focused on her.

Why wouldn't healing always focus her? They can't heal Karma, and Anya's the only other unit who would be getting hit since he's using my video.

You don't need to worry about all that, when golden wolves spawn, immediately remove Maribel. Then place Anya where she was, and pop her skill when the two wolves reach her. Her skill makes it so that it's like only 1 golden wolf attacking her, so she should be fine with regular healing.

If she'll be able to withstand two wolves at the same time (maybe I'll add 4th healer or use Marius skill to help her). The gold aura one does like double damage or less, so it's the same as tanking the double gold wolves by itself. As for Leanne/Maribel not lasting, it's most likely you're not staggering your 3rd heal properly. Then again that's not easy to do. Or you're letting the super gold wolf hit them.

If your Karma is max skilled, she should last just long enough for the aura wolf. The key to doing it is to drop her at the precise time so she ends up closer to the mage AoEs or pop your aoe range skills sooner since killing that Aura wolf is more important than the other 2 wolves. Also use her skill at the latest moment possible(Mid animation of the 3rd hit, or 4th hit if your karma is max leveled).
