Huh, that's not what I expected at all.

Next up is the first entry of yet another game series, or "Mirror World Fragments ~Amaterasu Arc~", aka Fragment 1.

Apparently the theme of the Mirror World Fragment series will be revisiting characters from other Debonosu/Studio ego! series and continuing their stories. So this is about the character Amaterasu from the first Izumo game, with the assumption that Hikaru, the MC of that game, went her route.

For context, every Izumo game is a stand-alone isekai RPG with a different MC, with your ending based on which romance target you went with. With every game having a "pick the native girl and stay in the other world" option. Izumo 2 actually got a mediocre anime adaption from Studio Deen and a sequel VN game.

The premise for this RPG is that Hikaru got separated from her during a sudden mysterious earthquake and Amaterasu is leading a rescue mission to find him; apparently the smut scenes are all flash backs of fun times between Hikaru and Amaterasu. Wonder if Hikaru will actually get voiced in this.

Not really my cup of tea - I'm here for girls getting pounded by monsters - but still interesting.

i swear they were made by debonosu but maybe not?
one had a blonde girl, and the other had a black haired girl
kinda like nazuna and ibuki but older, the blonde wore green clothing and the black haired gal wore the classic miko outfit though not as classic or typical
and they were all vanilla but one had a NTR ending where the girl becomes a sex addict and gets gangbanged

I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Kakuriyo games? The got an English translation (by Shiravune, now available through Steam and ) but the didn't.

Yeah, having bad ends tied to losing the boss fights would be nice.

A friend helped me with working with the debonosu engine and now we have this neat thing here

The engine can read files from folders so after unpacking the .pak delete it so the game doesn't read that instead of the folders, you can either delete it or move it somewhere else to keep as a backup
I've also been fiddling with the games a little bit and turns out that after unpacking the .pak file and swapping a few files here and there, you can patch the english text into the jp version of kagura douchuuki with h-scenes
The tool was meant for translation, and it also works for translating the story in other games, but we haven't had any luck with the menus, sadly
Items, youkai names, skills, all that

Lastly, that same file-swapping thing would probably work with the sora aogite kumo takaku game too

Aaaaand turns out that as i was typing this, there are more githubs that i weren't aware of for working with the debonosu works engine, hmm.... maybe one of those could work with menus



and on a slightly unrelated note, you can also swap the natsukagura remake's ass music with the superior PYON MO's OST

That's wild, okay. Would putting the existing English text of Douchuuki into the JP version leave the h-scenes untranslated? I would assume so.

Having a method to translate and other games would be great, even if by brute force methods.

Man, reading the instructions on those leaves me feeling tech illiterate.

Edit: For what it's worth I'm pretty sure the menus are in a separate file from the story text, since text hookers only get the menus OR the text, not both.
