You made youself look like a complete fucking retard by demanding they close their patreon. They publically announced that they have stopped development. temporarily or permanently? nobody knows.
On top of this THEY ARENT THAT GOOD AT ENGLISH what they said might not even be exactly what the wanted to say.

Its not up to you if they close their patreon, people can decide to support them even while the game has paused development.
Its up to the people who support them is they want to stop supporting them. You arent even one of their fucking supporters!

What you should have done, is asked if they putting their patreon into hiatus? or maybe when/if they might be coming back.
OR just kept your fucking stupidity to yourself.

Legit reason to keep it because he might come back in X years, he even waited month before announcing anything, on top of that his comment suggest that he thinks they're willingly giving him free money.

That's pretty much "I'm not developing game now and in near future.", since he isn't giving anything back he shouldn't get money from it when a lot of people might simply miss announcement, either due to rare activity or simply losing it in feed.

2. How is that related to anything? You need to be in power now to say anything?

They actually are. He in turn is obligated to keep them up to date on his activities and he has.

If they wish to continue to support him into his downward spiral in hopes of hastening his eventual rise that is their own issue. Even though it may be throwing away money.

The update winds up in the persons email. The failure of the recipient to read the email is not the fault of the sender. The senders obligations are met.

Just like when your credit card company sends you a bill.
