Apparently this is a "ghost hunting Mystery Cosplay RPG".
You and your pet bird(which can also transform into a girl) are trying to hunt down ghosts and to do that you have to collect different outfits.
There seems to be a normal and a true ending.

By the way, the size of the demo is 444 MB. >.>

STORY
Yoko chose paranormal sightings for a college thesis paper.
Other classmates laughed. Ghosts aren't real.
WRONG. Ghosts are real. They're absolutely real.
They're all around, and they can be drawn out with cosplay!!
Even Yoko's pet bird can sense ghosts. THEY'RE REAL ALL RIGHT.
But in the end, what do they want? What's up with Yoko's pet bird?
This town is a little bit weird...

SYSTEM
Abake! Yo-Kai Watching is a ghost hunting "Mystery Cosplay RPG"
Dress up to activate special abilities and events,
even though there's no battles. Search the town and collect outfits.

* Normal and True endings
* 640x480 4:3 ratio screen size (Press F5 to zoom)
* Dressup (kisekae) system
* A memo system to track of Yoko's interests, etc.
* Various facial expressions (Press D key to change)
* Gallery mode lets you review all unlocked events

I remember getting a black screen after the 2nd scene. Probably should've updated my version.

Otherwise i have no idea, maybe the game didn't have enough scenes to be worth it?

indie devs do tend to not have testers to help them... but... that kind of ignores people like edmund mcmillen who makes (almost) bug-free games...

Calling Ed's games (esp. BoIs) bug-free might be a strech but even if you don't have testers and you can't be arsed to play through your own game then what the hell.

It's not that simple. Some actually do bug test, but the bad thing about bug testing your own game is that you know exactly what to do. Most bugs are found by players who end up triggering things that the dev didn't plan, starting events in the wrong order, having or not having settings that the dev have, or just plain "went off course of the game and found something that made my game go boom!".

But yeah.....the super obvious ones that most people find, well there's really no excuse for them except dev seeing them and still push the game out anyway.

I've gotten the maid outfit and casual outfit for main girl. Beyond that, i have no clue. Nothing happened and I got bored.

in the demo drops stop the man next to the phone because of the ambience, comfort is nothing in the demo. XD
