Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

That 90/12 map with 100+ enemies is absolutely insane. I can't even kill the two cloud riding things at the beginning, despite using the skill of both Bashira and Sabrina at the same time. Then a flood of monster I haven't ever even seen before and multiple fucking liches less than a minute in. All this for Mehlis? Are you kidding me? Anyone who can clear this map clearly doesn't need Mehlis. And anyone new enough to the game to actually need her has absolutely zero chance to get her. I already have her from a premium pull, so I definitely won't bother with this. I was a goddamn moron for even trying. I managed to get 22 kills in before my entire team got wiped out. As in, not just the initially placed ones, but everyone I brought. And those were my strongest, highest level units. Even with aborting the mission, that's 6 stamina down the drain for absolutely nothing.

Fun fact:
1. All drops are from the first 30 units
2. All you need to do is kill the weaker units to kill enough of them that you can secure a 1 star clear
3. Get Mehlis

Yeah, 2. presupposes that I can keep my units alive long enough to kill enough "weak" units for the pass. Which I definitely cannot, so trying is a waste of stamina.

Well, if my deduction is not wrong you chose Black Iris from the Black Ticket, which is the best choice in terms of long time investment, but if you wanted to be able to catch up and clear maps faster, you should have gone with Aisha. You can't get the best of both, just my two cents.

not sure why you can't watch some videos for how they handle the early parts. Petite posts the map's jap name, which you can copy and paste in nico/youtube.

fun fact: the 1st 70 enemies are so weak (weaker than the original units, even the lich is weak fyi, his first form probably deals like 300 mdmg or something) that their stats arent posted.

funny how things are working out for fayne who's pretty new as well, yet all you do is complain about how 'insane' things are when they actually aren't most of the time.

anyway, next week is x1.5 drop rate, and I honestly hope all the newbies will take this chance to powerlevel their units really hard. for the record, when I started a year ago, I pretty much kept spending SC refills on farming during x1.5 instead of rolling; even my 1st 150 SC stampcard was earned by spending 100 SCs on farming one of the x1.5 drop rate events. (100% free player here, and the reason i didn't go further was because there was an item collection event right after)

edit: I know a guy who literally got his 1st AW within 1 month of gameplay on his alt.

Seriously. I don't get how you are unable to do all those maps. You know the game mechanics, you have played the Nutaku version for over a year.
How is (most of which are not even CC55) + Katie insane? On this map cost is completely irrelevant as well.
Even if I went blind into those maps with my new account I wouldn't feel this kind of despair.
I don't know, maybe you should start to record your runs of maps, you think will be difficult. That way you can analyze your mistakes afterwards and come up with possible countermeasures. It helps me on blind runs a lot. Maybe it's what you need to understand, what's going horribly wrong with your execution of easy strategies, with way better units.

Yep, that's fairly easy. I'm pretty close to AWing units 3 and 4 (only missing 150 % of affection, because other units not as high in my AW priority list needed that affection to clear maps back during the emperors star trial). I started 6 weeks ago.

Hi, I have been lurking around here for some time, just never made an account to post things.

I know I lack actually viable Archers, but I really couldn't resist the Awakening Fairy despite I should save for Spica.

So I really wanted to know what to awaken next (eventhough I know I should just get Spica, but Awaken just sound way more fun, and I play this for fun anyways), I'd appreciate some help. And sorry that I don't know some of the names in English.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I have almost all kind of 50 CC Silvers, and also my Bashira haven't CC yet... I am sorry Archers

@soranokira or @Fayne Mind choosing one for me? :)

I just wanted to know which is the strongest to awaken right now because I don't have priority in terms of the design of the AW art.

One thing i can tell you is, it would have been better if you had just posted a link. That would make it easier then having to read a wall of text which is hard to read, as there is no space between each unit or every few rows in your post. And you better just AW things you feel you need to make things go smoother for your team, like Miruno for example if she has 10/10 skill.

In terms of smoothing out my team, I am really torn between Erica and Miruno, a stronger Mage Armor will help in future subjugations I think, like this times map, Miruno is really restricted in terms of usefulness.

But thanks for the suggestion tough, I think I will awaken Miruno first.

Edit: And yeah I need 15 posts to post links

If I remember correctly you need like 10 posts or so before you could post images or links.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

You do realize you can just break the link down or not .-. .Such a thing shouldn't be beyond your skills and it would save everyones time if you want help. Like for example copy paste link and just delete the "dot" and replace it with a whitespace.

Well, I never really linked much things in the past and when I do the website I am on doesn't have such restrictions. So I guess I didn't acquire these skills. Sorry. I will do it next time. (If I am still below 15 posts)

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

A bit of a general thing, but I decided to ask it since I just pulled Regina from a YOLO pull: Is it just me, or are heavy armors becoming increasingly useless for doing heavy-armor things?

Theoretically a heavy armor's job is supposed to be blocking a group of enemies and tanking their hits while the ranged support kills them off. This is facilitated through high defense, high health and 4 blocks.

However, in the current meta, they are becoming increasingly useless for their main job, since if you need to stop four weak enemies, you are better off deploying DPS and just murdering them, and if you need to block four strong enemies, they usually eat your Heavy Armor anyway. The only heavy effectively used for tanking is Gellius, while others are all about DPS (or in the case of Berenice, counter-DPS).

Combine this with the fact that AW prince is practically a 3-block Heavy Armor that you always want to bring along, so they have to compete with him, units like Cornelia that tank better than Heavy Armors to begin with, and now we have two classes that can both fullfill the role of the multi-block tank (and in the case of Palfy, do it better than most Heavies) while also capable of laying down AOE DPS.

However, since we have 2AW now, there might be ways to make them a staple unit again. My idea would be a defense bonus depending on the number of enemies blocked, starting from 2 and increasing by 10% for each additional blocked enemy.
Alternatively, give them a bonus on received healing depending on the number of enemies blocked, so that they would get something like +25% per block.
Alternatively alternatively, give them an invalidation chance against ranged attacks.

Seriously, just give them any kind of buff so that I would finally have a reason to dust off my poor SAW80 Dyne! I haven't used her in months!

tbh my only suggestion is spica because when I started last year, I just AW'd anything I felt like AWing and back then spica was the best choice, followed by katie-bernice-iris, the typical early units to AW.
but anyway, i guess miruno's a fairly decent choice (her +5% atk makes her lose no attack basically). alternatively, both aisha and liese/katie are also good choices, because aisha gives additional 10% cd reduction with AW and 14% hp; while soldiers are your typical deploy first units and can help with early rushes with their stats (even if most vets use adv guard 1st deploy these days)

edit: heavy armors basically have higher base def, but they generally still suck anyway (aside from having a good bernice early on for dedicated boss tanking) especially when you have over 20 AW units to play with. In fact, the black heavys have generally been looked upon pretty badly (dina as support instead of tank which danchou and others can do, and deine as being completely useless before being buffed, though she can now hold her own somewhat with over 2k def)

^He already awakened Aisha, Helena and G.Iris if I didn't misread it.

then, miruno is probably best choice i guess. nice AW2 helena.

I think one of the main causes for this is the increasing lack of "intermediate" monsters, lately we have either goblins or mid-bosses.
HAs are good for stopping enemies at around 500-1000 patk with a decent hp pool but the only ones in this range have been some rare angels or uncommon demons. The exception being the orcs from story missions.
The other main cause is the def/survivability of samurais, what's the point in deploying a 4-block HA when Hibari can block AND hit 3 for the same cost, with the same def.....

Right, I forgot about Hibari, I guess because I don't use her like of a heavy, but more offensively. Since she is also a token, I usually just throw her on top of a group of tough ranged enemies or bosses. Your point still stands though, and I also agree about the lack of mid-range enemies.

I think the other part of the problem is that we have waaaay too much DPS on our hands, and the devs can't balance things around it. If they make enemies a lot tougher to counter-balance this, then new players will have problems, but if they don't, we have the current state of affairs, and just making enemies have more defense and MR is getting useless as well, considering how many units with True Damage are in the game now. Because of this there is just no point in dedicated blockers. If you need the small fries blocked, use AW Prince, since you would put him down anyways. For the rest, DPS and maybe a duelist or two against bosses. That's it. There is no room for heavy armors in that equation.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

...

That's actually the underling problem to all balance and some "playability/enjoyability" issues. There was a time when normal events were increasingly hard and fun, even with some premium blacks. Now they "concentrated" all difficulty in the majins with the rest of the game at a more or less fixed difficulty lvl.

Let's hope it's temporary then. Maybe they are doing so because of the anniversary and the previous push for new players with the collabs and other events. They (hopefully) got their fresh injection of newbies, so maybe now we can have our difficulty-curve back . :p

The difficulty-curve lasted only until before the 1st anniversary. It's been 2 years, it won't change now.
Story missions did maintain a nice curve but they are simply too few.
