Oh the new exchange unit... exactly what I wanted now that I got my plat archer. Considering I had Raichi and Serra to do tanking for me and Rita/Stray for shooting things down and needless to say quite a few tough duelists, I was feeling that healers were my weak link now with Iris/Fedora.
On a separate note, just noticed the range increase for Despia. 20 range more than other witches... Corinne also became a lot more useful with the -cost. Didn't like how she practically costed as much as a mage before, though mine is -0CR. Now she's a lot more worth throwing in but at the same time I regret a bit not -CRing her.
Still unhappy with Spica pic, but is the modified multiplier to flying units known? I am trying to do the red crystal daily with Reda the thief in party and I am getting wrecked. Wonder if it is feasible to get enough attack power to 1-shot the eyes with 1.2 hp modifier (need to hit for 900 + 150).
Also I hope the iOS release doesn't mean all new chars will now need to fit the retarded USA social norms :<
It looks as if they ran the silver units through a photoshop filter and called it a day. Made the coloring(?) or should I say shading? look more modern but considering the art itself hardly changed...
Edit:
I just tried my Esta in combat....
... Pegasus riders are basically valks v2.0 now aren't they? Though valks are cheaper in cost now, pegasus riders get a hell lot more unit points with their skill up and with less fear of getting KS'd by other units unless you have some mage blowing up the fodder. Especially with Esta who can immediately start skill. Combined with her 20%/50% increase in skill duration for all pegasus riders on field.... No comment. I need to get myself one or two more pegasus riders.
Haven't actually tried her in a hard map but this is sounding pretty damn broken if there's a lot of fodder to kill.
I don't know where to start, but here are my reactions:
Alchemist:
The cost reduction is the best thing they've done for them. Their utility would see more use now, especially in combination with other classes.
Archer:
Now there's less of a need to AW an Archer as soon as possible. This will allow for better awakening flexibility. Flying dragons become less of an obstacle for players that lacked Artemis previously. CC60 Archers are more useful now.
Bandit:
Best buff for bandit. Looks like they'll see more use early game vs armored enemies and it should help people that lack princesses.
Bishop:
Great buff. 260 range is good, but still not enough range in some positions. Marius' range is 275 after awakening and that is significant for him. That is enough range for him to attack enemies just barely outside his non-AW range.
Dragon Shaman:
As if she wasn't tanky enough. Black goblin archers beware?
Front Tactician:
Now give me Shuuka's revival event so I can get her to min-cost.
Heavy Armor:
Yes! AW90 Jelius should be able to reach 5k EHP with AW Katie, AW Lian, and AW Berenice. The only worrisome thing is that it's just 5k HP and a tiny hit from another enemy after losing 5k HP will kill him. It's a good thing the complete Mithril Golem doesn't appear in poison swamps. Hopefully the male confidence bonus readjustment helps him.
Ninja:
-1. Hien becomes 11 cost. This is a big buff because it's a lot faster to deploy Hana and Hien together. The best combo in this game because it's 14 cost to deploy them together if both are awakened. A very cost effective deployment duo that can take care of waves of mobs handily. To top it off, it is possible to use their skills very frequently. This makes me wish I had a min-cost Lian because their total cost together would be 23.
Wait asec so i'm not the only 1 feeling unlucky in orb map even with 2x drop rate ?
I remember durin 1.5x drop rate i always got like 3-4 orb / run and now its 2x drop rate...
Wonder if there a bug somewhere (free SC again please )
Well i also did story map 4x with the left over chr... all run full drop quite happy (and my money going to keep decreasing alot T_T)
Edit: ok thats it just spended SC for aw orb map for another 4 try, but keep geting 1-2 orb.... i refuse to believe its 2x drop rate >.<
While I don't know the xp per charisma of the two latest maps. Base Struggle 2nd is the best map for unit synthesis xp during a 1.5x Story Mission Drop Event. Fuujin Extermination is the best for synthesis xp otherwise, and probably better than Raijin Assault without the 1.5x drop bonus.
The spoiler data for Base Struggle 2nd:
Iron Soldier (70x2), Leo (70x2), Hashim (55x2)
Food XP Per Charisma: 15.8625; 1.5x Drop Bonus: 23.04375
100 trips to Fuujin Extermination Suggests that the drops are 70/78/80, so it's probably:
Iron Samurai (70), Bronze Wilfred (80x2), Bronze Yojirou (80x3)
Food XP Per Charisma: 16.79661; 1.5x Drop Bonus: 21.35593
Raijin Assault (63/0) (雷神襲来):
Iron Bandit (x2), Bronze Bandit (), Bronze Samurai Yojirou (x3)
Food XP Per Charisma: ? 100%: 20.47619
Currently waiting for stat info on Raijin, since I'm unsure if I can do his map without awakening Liana, Nagi, or Echidna. I feel like I may have a small advantage with Feng Shui Devout Krile considering the map's rapid HP drain, but Liana's full map regeneration and restore upon deployment seems useful, and Echidna's HP and Defence buff might be necessary for my True Dragon Warrior Anya.

Esther and Ridy are broken:
EDIT 2:
Despite being listed as unknown in the game. Mischa's new illustrator is
I demand pegasus rider event unit now !!!
The thing thats to be noted is it affect pegasus rider as a class not a single unit that cost recovery.
The gif there show it hiting bat ok thats normal, but what about if u put here right in the middle of all the mob incoming 1 aoe hit could kill 8-10 enemy
I could 3 star sometimes using the theif with this strategy
You must be registered to see the links
but slight variance in healing gets claire killed early sometimes which ruins the run I was using a lvl 40 AW saria+ iris maybe I can just activate sarias skill early now to keep her alive or iris now that her skill isnt total crap anymore with the copies I fed her
6 runs of the Friday AW orb mission:
6 ninja orbs, a bunch of the tactician orbs, a lot of mage orbs, and many witch orbs.
Looks like I'm done farming this mission and I only spent one crystal for it, which is good. I got enough ninja orbs (6 for Saki, 2 for Hina, 1 extra) for my current plans. The only other orbs I want to farm for are 2 Dragon Knights, 3 Dancers, and 3+ Healer orbs. So it's going to be Saturday and Monday I will be saving charisma for.
I'm glad most of the orbs I want are aligned on the same maps. This saves me a lot of charisma and I don't have to do every AW Orb mission. I don't need the witch and mage orbs now, but they'll be useful in the future. I've also had trouble farming for them previously.
I find a little strange how this balance patch is only buffs and no nerfs but well.. some seem minor.
Looking forward for new alchemist strategies, idk what the heck was the staff thinking when their original mage-like cost was decided...
I like how mages and bishops are now more focused in dmg or range. Odette and Melhis were a little shadowed by Noel save for those maps where the range extension was a must.
From the characters I have on my list I feel the stat changes were relatively insignificant. Though the Katie/Raichi affection boosts were very nice. I don't know if the stat difference adds up once you hit AW or some characters were influenced more or less though. Mechanic changes felt like the biggest change this patch. Seeing blacks with pre-AW abilities makes me wish that everyone received them though... or at least platinums as well.
I'm unsure on how to value Corinne. Before she was left rotting because her cost felt too heavy, now she's at a reasonable cost but I don't know how to judge her value. I can imagine some reasonably fun combinations (e.g. Esther(skill) + Chloe(skill) + Corinne) but it begs the question of how much Corinne is contributing compared to if I were to just drag in some mage instead. That was actually the main reason I didn't try to use her much before, though now she's cheaper than a mage to place...
Out of these buff....
The 1 i love the most probably archer atk up.
While i'm not sure the exact number i think they got about 20 xtra atk ?
and since this is a base atk up stat it will be get multiplied again by other unit buff such as prince / spica aw / etc etc....
In petite maintenance note it was mentioned that -Calculations on Multiple Units with Abilities that Buff Unit Stats Modified.
So how does this work ?
will it become from lets say these 2 case
Case1: 100 x 19% (prince) x 7% (1st aw ability) x 5% ( 2nd aw ability ) = 133.6965
Case2: 100 x (19% + 7% + 5%) = 100 x 31% = 131
Wonder which calculation they going to adept...
Someone should check it out but I think the latter makes the most sense. How was it calculated before even?
Also on a separate note... Lian practically received an atk buff with her affection bonus change. Can't she actually serve as something like a pseudo VH with her double arrow shot? I'm not actually sure how her aspd compares to archers but her aspd seems moderately fast as well. Though on the other hand actual VHs have longer range and shoot 3 after CC but... it can be canceled out with Lian's buffs I guess...?
