When the girls touch her, she loses her composure completely and breaks down crying, hugging Ai tightly to her. Thank you so much she chokes out. She stands there, crying in Ai's arms for a minute or two before she regains her composure and breaks the hug. Thank you, not only for saving me, but for understanding. I should be able to get home safely with just this sword, if the Gods are willing. They sent you to save me, so surely I'll be allowed to return home. With that she gave them a bow and turned to walk away, stopping to turn and wave before disappearing out of sight.

The girls now had two options; they could go up the stairs, or they could go back to the door the slavers had poured out of and check the last room on this floor of the spire they hadn't been in yet.

Mary cries a little as the girl breaks down, hoping she'll be okay. She regains her composure after a minute. As the girl leaves, Mary cries out to her. "Wait, we never learned your name! Please tell us, I'm Mary, and she's Ai."

After getting a response, or possibly not if she had waited too long, "We should check out that room...and then hurry and destroy this place so we can make sure she's okay..."

Oh, that was... rude of me. My name is Samantha the girl replied. Thank you again, Mary, Ai. She then walked away towards the exit again.

"Don't mention it. Have a safe trip!" Ai replies as the girl heads out once more.
"So, we should investigate that iron-doored room, we didn't check it out yet.." she then says, turning to Mary

Mary nods. "That's right, we should." waiting for Ai to take the lead this time.

The two walk down the hallway towards the large metal door and walk inside without incident. Until they get inside. Being perhaps less cautious than is called for, Ai steps into a rope trap, which promptly pulls her upside down into the air, her robe falling down around her waist embarrassingly. If Mary were to look around the room, she would find little of use. It looks like this room was just a trap, so the only things around are games and such to entertain the slavers while they wait.

Mary takes a look at Ai, getting a mischievous smile on her face seeing the girl like that. "Oh...looks like you've been trapped. I wonder if I should do something to you while you're helpless like that~." Mary teases as she moves over to her. "Though I would have preferred if I was the one trapped..." She says quietly as she starts to free Ai from the trap.

Heading to the previously unexplored room, Ai suddenly finds herself hanging upside-down from a rope trap. As her skirt drops down to her waist, her panties are exposed. Should someone want to tease her now, it would be quite easy. And not failing to capitalize, Mary does exactly that. Her face reddening as the mage suggests doing things to her, she is glad the mage starts to release her instead

Mary finishes letting Ai down, wondering when she'll get that anime rope spell she loves so much.

"Well I think that's everything, we should go upstairs, right?" Mary suggests, seeing if she can't pull up her stats as they walk upstairs.

"Yes, let us go" Ai replies to the mage, still blushing as she takes the front to head upstairs

The two can tell that the staircase was quite grand when it was built; now there are cracks all through the masonry, to the extent that it probably shouldn't be standing. It is likely held together only by magic. They finally reach the second floor to get to a small, almost claustrophobic landing, with only one path to the south.

Mary takes a look around, a little disappointed there was only one way to go. "Well, one way to go, I guess that's easy enough..."

"Way too limited space here... let's move forward" Ai tells Mary, somewhat uneasy about the small size of the surroundings

The girls walked southward for a short while before coming to a larger room, the ceiling broken in places, dirty water pooled on the floor from the rain. As they walked toward what they noticed was the only exit in this room, they heard a strange thump behind them...

Mary quickly turns around at the sound, spotting the tentacle beasts and wasting no time launching two blasts at the weaker one. "Oh...straight up tentacles...we haven't fought these yet..." she says, smiling.

Turning around to face the assailants, Ai lets Mary shoot her magic at the ambushing tentacles before stepping forward and preparing an attack for the first monster to come charging

Mary's first blast misses the smaller tentacles, but the second hit it dead on in its center mass, causing what one might describe as a wail of pain. It still managed to avoid Ai's strike.

Both tentacles fail badly to hit Ai, who easily dodges out of the way.

Mary smiles. This would probably be a close battle, as she aims another two blasts at the tentacles. She really wishes she had some other spells to use MP on though.

Ai continues keeping her guard position, letting the creatures come to her for their punishment

Mary and Ai manage to hurt the weaker tentacle even further, though they barely land the hits.

14 vs. 5
13 vs. 16

The smaller, abused tentacle manages to slap Ai around the shoulders and neck while she fends off its larger counterpart, and she begins to feel a little tired.
