Claudios probably thought that 1.6 is Russian only, and that's why he asked for 1.5.2.
Can't say I blame him, cause this is very stupid place for language buttons and they look like a part of decor - IMHO they should be near the menu and more clearly indicated.

Well, they didn't screw him out of anything. He just can't have funds transferred to his bank account from his e-wallet anymore. There could be any number of reasons for that, including his own behavior, or his bank choosing to sever any agreements they have with his online payment provider (which is a US-based company by the way). The English translation he posted was so colorful, I doubt it's representative of whatever Russian legal-ese the letter contained.

Hi me, it's me again with a triple post : Akabur talks about some PC games (not h-games) he has no interest in playing [aside CoD of all things :/], some stuff about his Payoneer setbacks and his new game will have only 4 girls at launch ...

I don't think he wants to spend a year working on this. I think this is a good idea meaning he can just focus on 1 character to release at a time. We might even get this by March!

Another update about his Payoneer grudge. His account is still fucked (apparently) but Dahr's was just Patreon screwing around.

Well, someone told him once that he should post 'anything' so we know he's still alive, so that's what he's doing I suppose.

Moreover, his games are fully 'content based', meaning that if he shows something then that's an automatic spoiler, you know...

People could probably stand to see more on-topic posts about what he's up to with his work, even if they're pretty vague. His feed is like 75% e/n blog right now.

You're right, though. PT:GE was a fair expansion, but it felt sort of underwhelming in a lot of ways because he implied it was huge and there was all this stuff in it that he was keeping secret, and when it came out it had maybe 3 things he hadn't spoiled in updates or streams somehow. If it's between that, and him talking about buying the exact same IKEA "sofa" to replace his beat up one, I'll take the sofa.

Well, in other breaking news, the United States is officially at DEFCON 3 now, for the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis... Russia is withdrawing all children from foreign enrolled schools, and opening all nuclear shelters... Requiring all citizens to report to the shelters to familiarize themselves with their location.

They have also begun withdrawing diplomats from western posts...

The US issued edicts breaking financial ties with Russia, and freezing financial transfers to Russian owned banks, at the start of the Syrian Cease Fire, where we vaporized 67 Syrian soldiers and said.. oops... sorry, but we didn't do it / don't care. (allowing ISIS to reclaim a recently captured town)

Naturally Russia took offense to killing their allies in an active proxy war without the use of proxies...

Since then we (the USA) are air dropping weapons and ammunition to relieve besieged ISIS fighters...

As Mondo said, "Mondo is but small cog in big wheel of life..." (with apologies to Mel Brooks)

So yeah, i can understand his angst at having his funding cut off.

Isn't Dahr Russian too? Or is he in one of the former Soviet satellites? I find it odd that he'd still have no issues getting money, but then he's making a lot less; perhaps he exclusively uses ATM withdrawals direct from his Payoneer account. The whole Payoneer thing is kind of OT itself, I guess, but it's the most interesting news we have.

Sorry, my mistake, it's been about 30 years since i saw the movie. Good thing i included an apology to Mel Brooks.

I've commented to Aka about that, I suspect they are using different banks, they are only limiting transactions to banks with principle Russian ownership. There are several banks that do business in Russia that have principle ownership, or are headquartered in European countries, and as such would be unaffected.

It's my understanding he is essentially stuck withdrawing $200 a day on the payoneer ATM card... (but only $80 at a time)... Which with a monthly income of around $6000 means he has to go to the ATM once a day, every day, make multiple withdrawls, and then deposit the money in his bank. I'd be uber pissed too.

With no car, he has to walk and public transport around, and this puts him not only in danger holding onto large quantities of cash in public, but is a major life disruption as well.

Yeah, a foreign-ish bank would do it too.

I tend to be sort of paranoid about sharing bank details, and I'm not that familiar with Payoneer. If I was in Dahr's position, I'd just be taking out the max every time I happened by an ATM, or using the debit card to buy groceries and such, assuming it works at points-of-sale.

Then again, I have no idea what sort of personal information Payoneer requires to open an account. They may require a bank account outright, or by the time you've filled out an application, handing over your account may be the least of your worries. For all I know, it works like some of those Bitcoin businesses, and they want a photocopy of your passport and driver's license, all the info off your birth certificate, and a complete family tree, including pets.

Star Channel 34 is his current project, don't know if he is dipping his fingers in anything else. It's basically Sci-Fi Princess Trainer. He plans on releasing a small build and then adding to it as it goes along, thus meaning we may see a release in the next 3-5 months. Assuming he doesn't change his mind and we have to wait a year.
